"Thanks, man. I will call you later," Andy said, following him to the door.

Sawyer paused and looked back at Andy.

"You don’t have to walk me to the elevator. Just focus on handling that matter, and if you need further details, call Ethan; he knows what I want you to fix."

"Sure, I will. Sorry for making you worry."

Sawyer said nothing but continued toward the elevator. He nodded slightly to Amelia Walker as she hurried to press the elevator button for him.

Left standing in his place, Andy watched Sawyer enter the elevator before rushing to his desk and turning on his computer.

Within seconds, he found what he was searching for. The headline news was shocking enough to feel like it had sent half his soul to heaven.

Although he hadn’t heard his secretary’s report yet, Andy could already guess that the café in the news was related to Abigail.

Andy remembered the last report he read: Crimson Leaf Cafe has four branches along Oracle Street. He hoped it wasn’t the one where Abigail worked.

"Boss, can I come in?" Amelia’s voice called from the doorway just as Andy finished reading the article, which didn’t reveal the café’s location. Now, he was even more curious.

He looks at the door, "Yes, come in!"

"Sir, have you read the article online about Crimson Leaf Cafe?"

"Yes!" Andy took a deep breath, annoyed that he had just discovered it after the news had taken over almost all the online portals. "Amelia, why didn’t you report it to me immediately?"

Amelia stood before Andy’s desk and replied, "I’m sorry, sir. I only learned about the news on my way to the office. When I was about to inform you, I heard that you were meeting with Mr. Jones, so I waited—"

Andy raised his hand to stop her from making excuses. He needed to know about this matter immediately. "Which branch did this happen at? What about the victims?"

"After reading the news, I started investigating. I discovered it was the Oracle Street branch. The victim is safe now. The police are handling the case, and the perpetrator is in the hospital under police guard," she continued.

Andy Bennet felt like he had just had a heart attack.

"Which one? Why is the perpetrator in the hospital? Did the police beat him?" Andy asked, confused.

"Sir, it’s the branch where Miss Abigail Snow works. I just spoke with the café franchise owner, Ms. Lana Green. She confirmed that the perpetrator was a male employee, Kian Blake, a senior barista at the branch. And—"

Amelia hesitated to continue. She knew that her boss was fond of Miss Abigail Snow, and if he learned about what had happened to her at the café, she could already picture his furious reaction.

"What is it, Amelia? Can you please finish your sentence?" Andy Bennet frowned, curious about why Amelia seemed afraid to continue.

"Sir, the woman he harassed was Miss Abigail Snow—"

"WHAT?!" Andy Bennet shouted in shock. He rose from his seat and looked at Amelia, losing his calm. "Are you sure? Is she alright?" he asked.

He was concerned that Abigail must be stressed and frightened.

"Sir, I’m sorry, I don’t know about the story’s details, but what I hear from Ms. Green..." Amelia began, sharing what she had heard from Lana Green. She explained how the case became big when Kian reported Abigail to the police for attacking him, which resulted in serious injuries.

Amelia also mentioned that Abigail had reported Kian for sexual harassment and confessed to beating him because he attempted to forcefully rape her.

Andy listened in silence, trying to understand what he had just heard. The more he thought about it, the more confused he became. The incident had occurred two days ago, so why was the news only now circulating? No one had reported this significant case to the head office.

No words could describe Andy’s current feelings. He was furious, having learned that another employee in his company almost raped Abigail Snow.

’Damn it! No wonder Sawyer is angry... I’m the group’s CEO and only learned about this major incident today. Fuck! That is embarrassing! How could no one report this to me? What the hell are all those people in the F&B Department doing?’

Andy vents his anger. He is furious with all his useless directors. He should consider firing them all!

Amelia patiently waited for her boss to say something.

However, Andy remained silent for a few minutes, facing the street with his back turned to her.

"Sir, is there anything you need me to do?" she asked.

Eventually, Andy Bennet turned to face her.

"I need you to call the F&B director and all the managers in charge of Crimson Leaf Cafe. I want them in the meeting room in five minutes."

He paused as a thought crossed his mind. "And while you’re at it, call the company lawyer to meet with me immediately!" he ordered.

Andy wanted the lawyer to ensure that the perpetrator faced the consequences and to provide legal assistance to Abigail.

"Yes, sir," Amelia replied before quickly leaving the room.

After seeing Amelia leave the room, Andy grabbed his desk phone and dialed Abigail’s number.

His heart felt tight, and he couldn’t express his feelings, but he was sure of one thing: he wanted to hear her voice and ensure she was okay.

"Hello, Mr. Andy...?"

"Hi, Abigail—" His voice trailed off as he noticed that Abigail sounded a bit hoarse on the other end.
