Chapter 454: 0454 Who else is more suitable for her_1

"Family Time" program team seems to be having a string of bad luck.

First, it was Naya York, and now Clyde Wilson is no good either; now that such a big scandal has broken out and he’s been hammered so severely, higher-ups must be having their opinions.

Now, whoever appears on the program with Scholar Young, even if not together but just in the same show, the higher-ups won’t allow anything that tarnishes the image to exist.

Of course, Clyde Wilson is out in an instant.

That means they have to find a replacement again.

However, finding a replacement is their problem to worry about. Clyde Wilson has already doomed himself by offending Lucy Wood’s fans—it’s just a matter of time before he completely vanishes from the entertainment industry.

Although Lucy Wood didn’t make a move this time, seeing how much influence she managed to wield because of her sister, nobody dares to offend her now.

Suddenly, everyone in the circle feels threatened, those who had some issues with Lucy Wood in the past are even sending apology texts personally, some even inviting her out to dinner.

After all, no one knows to what lengths Ellen Young would go for Lucy Wood. Now that Clyde Wilson is also in trouble, though it was his own fault, they don’t know who else might be implicated, so of course, they attribute it to Lucy Wood.

As for these affairs of the entertainment industry, Ellen Young just watched the excitement, paying it no mind.

After she and Ruffy went home, they stayed in the countryside for a few days before heading back to Imperial City for Taylor’s birthday.

Now that they’ve started dating, they can’t be as sweet as other couples. Ellen Young has her own business to attend to, and Ruffy isn’t without his own matters.

His father’s birthday is actually a test for him; now that Taylor is deliberately grooming him, he’s starting to handle family affairs, and there’s no room for his caprice.

After all, Taylor has only one son.

This burden is his to bear alone.

So, without even having had a pleasant time with Ellen Young yet, Ruffy is called back to Imperial City. It’s only the thought of Ellen coming after two days that lifts his mood a little.

When they got to the house, Taylor still had no idea that Ruffy and Ellen Young were now in a relationship.

Ruffy’s close friends knew but didn’t dare to spread it around hastily, they just mentioned it in private to those they were close with. Everyone kept it quiet, as Taylor was not in this younger generation’s circle, so not many in East City were aware of it.

But Taylor, as if to stir the pot, noticed Ruffy was still heading towards East City. When Ruffy returned, Taylor even had the leisure to mock him: "It seems you really won’t shed tears until you see the coffin."

"Why should I see the coffin?"

Ruffy was sitting on the sofa, leafing through the guest list for Taylor’s birthday party. He had to remember people; it was basic etiquette.

When he looked up at Taylor, the casual tone in his voice carried a hint of pride, "What I’m doing is called waiting for the clouds to clear and the moon to appear."

Taylor immediately sensed something amiss, his expression tinged with surprise, "You succeeded?"

Ruffy’s voice carried a low, joyful tone, "I’ve said it before, you have to believe in your son."

Taylor gave Ruffy a profound look, surprised that he had actually managed to win over Ellen Young—and the key point being that Ellen Young was the one in question.

Although Taylor had once had this idea, it didn’t stop him from having his true thoughts.

Taylor: "It seems Ellen Young’s standards are not as discerning as I imagined."

Ruffy: "..."

His face darkened for a moment, then he snorted coldly, "Discerning? You might as well compare me to others; look at those my age, see who else would be a better match for her!"
