Chapter 368: 0368 Go back_1
The following days of live broadcasting went by in the same manner.
Ellen Young was busy with her AI projects and didn’t interact much with Lucy Wood, but thankfully Melissa Chan’s arrival dispelled much of the gloom.
The two still provided plenty of highlights, and since most people were there for Ellen anyway, even when she did nothing, many would just watch.
Over the next few days, the viewer count for the live broadcast remained at a high level, consistently ranking first.
While other celebrities also had a significant viewership, they were minor players compared to Ellen.
By now, it was clear to everyone that Ellen had become the focal point of the program.
If Ellen had not refused to promote herself or enter the entertainment industry, giving the program producers no leverage, other celebrities might have had an even tougher time.
Ellen chose not to join, so her sister Lucy Wood, who was already in the entertainment industry, received many of the resources that would have gone to Ellen.
Lucy was so busy that she left immediately after the live broadcast, not even staying the night.
Melissa Chan left before her, and once they were gone, the production crew also withdrew, and the once bustling mountain village once again fell quiet, save for the distant construction work that continued in full swing.
Ellen stood on the hillside, enjoying the serene moment, watching the distant Wylan fragrances grow long slender branches and buds that began to appear on them, signaling that soon the fields would be graced by the beautiful sight of blooming Wylan flowers.
It was now the third month.
She had returned to the countryside for three months, and the weather was gradually getting colder.
She wore a fine, white sweater and felt the chill on the hillside, shrinking her neck, ready to retreat back to her cozy haven.
"Woof woof woof."
The sound of a dog barking came from behind, and she turned to see Blackie running towards her, followed by Ruffy Smith.
Ruffy wore a black turtleneck sweater, his tall frame exuding a casual leisurely look. He had the skill of making anything he wore look exceptionally good, and walking through the wild, he was a breathtaking sight.
As he approached, he smiled at Ellen, "What are you looking at?"
"Looking at the Wylan fragrances."
Ellen replied offhandedly, having not seen Ruffy for a few days, she found herself recalling the dream from the other night.
Dreams were the only thing she didn’t remember clearly, mainly because everything in them was so vague.
Yet, seeing Ruffy, she would remember.
Ruffy sensed something slightly off about Ellen in front of him. He couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong but felt that Ellen was a bit strange, he couldn’t help but smile and ask, "Are you troubled by something?"
"No."
Ellen raised her head to look at him, "Do you need something? If not, I’m going back."
Ruffy, hearing her indifferent tone, sighed softly, but still said, "I have to go back now, there’s an urgent matter I must attend to."
He clearly didn’t want to go, but with family issues at hand, indulgence wasn’t an option.
"Go back?"
Ellen was slightly surprised about him going back, but she wouldn’t object. She nodded, "Aren’t you going to celebrate your birthday?"
He had said he wanted to celebrate it here and had asked Ellen to help him prepare.
"It depends."
Biting his tongue tip, Ruffy spoke with a hint of regret, "I might not make it."
As he talked, he watched Ellen intently.
Seeing that Ellen seemed contemplative but showed no sign of disappointment or reluctance,
he knew that the heartless always remain heartless.
After all this time, there still wasn’t a sign of her being moved.
