Chapter 92: Chapter 91: Awake

Third pov

As his green orbs focus on the things before him and he regains his vision perfectly alright.

Raffaele let’s out a small grunt as he glares at the ceiling already knowing he is in a hospital.

Something soft pressing against his side catches his attention and that has him turning his body slightly and the sight that greets him has him sucking in a harsh breath.

His baby lays beside him, her brown long hair scattered around her like a waterfall, her pink plump lips slightly parted as she exhales and inhales.

He watches how her lashes frame her cheeks and cast a shadow over it and his gave moves further down, going from her neck down to her chest which rises and falls with each exhale and inhale of breath.

He stares at her, trapped in her beauty and to him it becomes like its the first of being beholded by her beauty.

On their own accord his hand raises and slowly and gently moves towards her face, brushing away the hair which is covering a art of her face.

Raffaele stares at Bella with a gaze filled with admiration, love and obsession.

"Beautiful" He always loves it how her name is perfectly fitting for her, she is in a whole word beautiful and to him even beauty does not define hee better.

While caressing her hair with his hand, he moves his face closer and places his face in the crook of her neck.

Inhqling her scent like an animal he places a hand on her waist pulling her body closer to his and pushing his nose deeper into her neck.

Bella stirs, feeling something heavy holding her and a breath in the crook of her neck.

Slowly she opens her eyes and first takes some seconds to understand what is happening and also remember and understand where she is.

And it all clicks.

Kidnapping, Escape, Caught, Rescue, Raffaele, Shot and finally the hospital.

As everything clicks she attempts to move her body but she is unsuccessful as Raffaele just holds her tighter against him.

"Baby" Raffaele groans out his voice husky and it sends a shiver down her spine.

Raising her hand which is limp besides her she places it on the back of his head where she rubs reassuringly.

Raffaele grins at that and pulls their bodies closer and that is when Bella’s mind snaps to his injury and she is quickly trying to push him away.

"Raffaele" Bella calls out in a worried voice as she tries to make the huge man let go of her.

"Raffaele, let go you are innured" Bella reminds him and all she gets as a reply is a groan from him.

"Raffaele" Bella tries again and this time he pulls back a little to stare at her face.

"Baby" He calls out like he is unaware of what he is doing.

"Let me hold you" Raffaele says and Bella becomes stunned from how low his voice is and how vulnerable he sounds.

"You’ll wound yourself" She reminds him her hand going to the thick bandage wrapped around the upper part of his body and she uses her hand to gently graze it

"I dont like you hurt" Bella says her own voice soft as she knows it is enough to make him yield to her words.

And she is right as Raffaele pulls away from her body but only slightly.

"I missed you baby and I am sorry you had to go through all that" Raffaele says and Bella stare sta him confused.

Raffaele continues to talk on and on to her while she provides him with comfort that he needs.

In the middle of him talking it was evident he does not remember what led to her kidnap and she stares at him worried.

After some time the door opens and the doctor steps in with a small smile on his face.

"Doctor" Bella calls out softly to the man, deciding it will be best to inform him of what is happening.

She briefs the doctor on what she just observed and the doctor smiles slightly towards her in reassurance.

"Dont worry too much he was still under the drugs we administered and when he wakes up fully alright and free from the effect of the drugs he’ll remember everythin" The doctor proceeds to explain more to Bella who nods her head at his words.

Once the doctor steps out, she lies back down on the bed her head still on the pillow which his is.

"Yo" With a dramatic opening of the door, Emiliano steps into the hospital room with paper bags in hand as he makes his way towards the bed.

"How is he" Emilano asks raising his hand to lightly brush it against his brother’s forehead.

"He is fine and even woke up but apparently was on the influence of drugs.

Emilaino nods his head at that before moving to the couch.

"Come, I brought some snacks" Emilaino says to which she quickly numps off the bed and makes her way towards him.

"This is exactly why you are my favourite" Bella says in an excited voice as she makes her way over to Emiliano.

The door burst own in an extra dramatic way. "Who do you say is your favourite huh?" Angel asks with a crazy look as she stares at Bella with that I dare you face.

"My baby, Angie" Bella says with a cheeky smile she makes her way to Angel and they both scream loudly which eaned them hisses and a ’keep it down’.

They both choose to ignore Emilaino and Bella grins widely.

"You know you are my best friend and forever love" Bella says placing a huge peck on Angel’s cheeks and Angel returns the favour.

"Come let’s eat together" Angel says while linking their hands.

Emiliano grimaces and glares with them.

"There is only enough for two" He says matter of fact and the girls roll down.

"I know" both of them say at the same time "...And that is why it’s only us two, myself and Bells baby" Angel says and at the end of her sentence blows a kiss to a bewildered Emiliano.

Angel sits on the couch besides her brother before slyly pushing him down from the couch.

It is only when Emiliano lands on the floor with a groan does he turn to glare at his sister who has a wide grin stretched on her face.

Bella quickly sits down with a grin of her own while passing Emiliano an apologetic look.

Angel and Bella soon start devouring the snacks while Emiliano sits there glaring at them.

Soon they hear a groan and look towards where it is coming from only to see Raffaele stiring.

He wakes up and first looks around the room before his gaze focuses on them.

"Emiliano" Raffaele calls out to his brother who quickly makes his way towards him.

Raffaele whispers some words into his ears and with that Emiliano nodd his head before stepping out.

Raffaele helps himself sit up on the bed and when Bella sees that he is settled she stands up from the chair with the intention to go help him.

Reaching closer to him she stares at his face which is cold and emotionless.

"Do you need any help" Bella asks softly and it is only then the gaze of the man which has been avoiding her face settles on her and Raffaele shakes his head in the negative.

She stares at him her brows furrowed before making her way to the other side to sit beside him.

"Brother" Angel calls out and runs and quickly embraces Raffaele.

Raffaele opens his arms and wraps his arms tightly around her, he might not show or tell it but he loves his family and he had almost lost her which secretly terrified him.

"How are you feeling" Angel asks as she tries to push back her tears and look more composed.

Bella stares at them and her gaze moves between the brother and sister duo.

She has always known Raffaele to be a good person to his family and now seeing him acting just that has her smiling slightly.

"How are you feeling" Raffaele asks instead, dodging her own question.

Apart from rage which he needs to let out he feels nothing more or less and with the amount of rage which has consumed him it has numbed the pain and every other thing in his body.

"I am not the one who was shot" Angel says with a teasing smile and that has Raffaele chuckling as he flicks her forehead lightly.

"Stop trying to act smart" Raffaele says and she gasps feigning offence.

"Am I not smart" Angel questions with a pout and Raffaele looks at his sister deep and hare like he is thinking about her words.

"Why dont we ask Emiliano" Raffaele says to which Angel rolls her eyes.

"We both know he’d rather hug a crocodile than admit to my smartness" Angel says and Raffaele chuckles at her words knowing they are true.
