Chapter 91: Chapter 90: Hospital

Third pov

"I AM SORRY" The doctor says immediately he steps out and immediately her heart falls right into her stomach and the scream that escaped her lips snaps Emiliano from whatever trans he has fallen into.

"What do you mean?" Draven asks, his voice cold as he glares at the doctor who is now shifting on his toes.

"The patient has lost a lot of blood and even after removing the bullet we have to perform an emergency surgery and also blood is needed" The doctor explains to which Emiliano fights back the urge to throw him a punch

He had scared them earlier with his words and when he heard the doctor’s apology he could swear his heart stopped functioning for a moment.

The doctor talks some more with him and Draven while Bella stands there wide eyed.

Emilia, Nathan and Alexander walk in with worried expressions and instantly Emilia moves to hug the girls as she has heard of what happened.

Hugging them close to her chest she whispers soothing words to them before pulling away slightly.

They wait and wait and after what seems like hours the doctor’s step out.

Bella sits there,her head clouded with self blame and how if not because of her stubbornness nothing of this sort would happen.

Heck she has already forgotten the wound on her shoulder which is now starting to feel a little sour.

Due to the adrenaline of that moment where herself and Angel were busy acting as heroes in action movies her mind had completely blocked off everything and now as she sits there with a dull ache in her shoulder, it becomes the reminder of the situation at hand and cause of everything.

"Bells" Angel calls out softly, her voice hoarse from all the crying but as she stares at Bella who has a distant expression she knows something has started bothering her or she is over thinking.

"Bells" Angel calls out again after clearing her throat, she exchanges worried glances with Emilia who slightly shakes her head.

"Bella" Angel calls out a bit louder and that jolts Bella out of whatever day dream she was in and focuses on them.

"What is it..d..did the do..doctor say something" Bella questions, her eyes widened and wishful.

"No where are you lost" Angel asks, holding both her hands in hers.

"Nothing..I..d..do you think it’s my fault..fault" Bella stutters and by the end of her sentence she already has tears silently streaming down her face as she stares at Angel.

Angel gives Bella a look filled with disbelief before raising her hand to lightly smack her forehead.

"Silly girl" Angel says with a slight smile stretched on her lips.

"It is not your fault and will never be, neither one of us blame you for it Bells" Angel reassures and she looks towards Emiliano who rolls his eyes before opening his arms for her to fall into.

They are in the middle of sharing their hugs when the doctor steps out with a small smile on his face.

"We have managed to keep him stable, who is Bella please" The doctor asks his eyes moving through the sea of people only for Bella to timidly raise her hand.

She is about to step forward when Emiliano wraps a protective arm over her waist before stepping forward, his Face serious.

"Any problem doc" Emiliano asks, his voice now deep and husky and the doctor gulps before shaking his head.

"Mr Vincenti has been calling out her name even while unconscious so I wanted to suggest she be the first he sees" The doctor says and at his words Emiliano drops his guard just a little but not completely with a nod of his head.

Alexander shares a look with the men and after a nod he walks away.

"What do we do with the captives?" At the mention of Alphonsi and the others Draven and Emiliano’s jaw clenches as rage fills his eyes.

"We wait till he is awake" Draven says, nodding towards the room Raffaele Is in.

Not long after that he is soon wheeled out and is taken to a very luxurious private room.

Set down to rest they are all stunned when the man lets out a groan.

"Bella,Baby" Bella quickly moves towards him as she stretches out her hand to touch him.

The others leave the room but not before either checking and looking at him properly or touching his hand.

Bella sits in the room alone, her gaze focused on his face, even heavily injured, the man is the epitome of intimidation and his jaw is locked.

She stares at him, her eyes freely trailing the contours of his face before settling on his lips.

Her thoughts are broken by the door opening and she turns slightly to see Emiliano walking in with food.

At the sight of food she instantly remembers how she hasn’t eaten anything since the kidnap and right at that moment her stomach grumbles.

"I guess we need to feed Bells" Emiliano says with an amused laugh that has Bella glaring at him.

He helps her up and towards the couch before bringing out the food and setting it on the table.

Bella stares at the delicious meal and her tongue out to wet her lips in anticipation.

"Eat up Bells" Emiliano encourages and she doesn’t need to be told twice as she instantly dives into the food and eats to her heart’s content.

It gets to a point they turn it into a competition to see who finishes his food on time and of course Bella wins and a triumphant smile forms on her face.

Though her frame might be smaller than his her love for food beats all and she can gobble a whole meal.

"You cheated," Emiliano says with a pout while drinking from the canned water.

"How did I get an extra mouth?" Bella answers the sarcasm obvious in her words as she eyes him. "You are such a sore loser" Bella teases with a tsk.

"Now I regret bringing you food and I am not a sore loser I just feel like you cheated" Emiliano says again and Bella rolls her eyes at him.

"Oh please shut it, besides I am tired" She says with a yawn and stands up to stretch.

"Hmm, go have a bath you have blood on you and then change" Emiliano says before pointing at the other bag he was holding which contains a change of cloth.

"When did you do all this?" Bella asks, confused as she can vividly remember all of them being in the hospital.

"Not me but Alex" Emiliano says with a shrug and an easy smile on his lips.

"Knew you weren’t so smart or considerate" Bella says with a shrug of her own and Emiliano’s smile falls as he narrows his eyes playfully at her.

"What do you mean?" He deepens his voice for effect.

Bella shrugs again with a teasing smile on her face and just as Emiliano is about to say something they hear a groan and turn towards Raffaele’s direction.

"Baby" He groans out again and instantly, Bella rushes towards him and uses her hand to cover him while whispering some soothing words into his ear.

Seeing his reaction to her being far for too long she decides to just sleep beside him on the huge bed.

After the much needed shower which took longer than needed as she tries to get the blood off her body and the smell of it.

After what feels like centuries, she steps out of the bathroom, dressed In the baggy t-shirt in the bag and the thigh length body hugging skirt.

Making her way to the bed she makes sure not to disturb Raffaele as she gets on the bed beside him but decides to rest her head on his pillow.

She closes her eyes and not before long falls asleep with her little delicate hand falling on the chest of the huge man.

Bella who had only promised herself some minutes of sleep falls into a deep slumber, the hand which is on Raffaele’s chest rubbing the bare skin soothing.

The others enter and after making sure they are both alright they step out of the room and hospital but not before doubling security.

"Word should not go out about this" Draven says and the others nod their heads in understanding his words.

After they walk away and after hours of being unconscious the huge man stirs.

Drugs have never really had an effect on him due to his training as the Vincenti heir; he is now immune to most drugs and even if they work they don’t last long in his system.

It is the same with being sedated.j

He falls asleep when it is strong and it just spends merely hours in his system before his body is fighting against it.

Feeling something soft beside him, his green orbs wander before settling on his beloved.
