Chapter 70: Chapter 69: Belonging

Bell’s pov

Raffaele had called me earlier back to his office, claiming I needed to eat something.

I was really reluctant to go but I know I have to so I just breathed in and out and decided to humor him.

Now sitting in his office and seeing all the goodies spread out in front of me, I cannot help but feel happy.

"Thank you" I tell him and don’t wait for his reply before rushing towards the goodies to start snacking down like a wolf.

"Slow down sweetheart" Raffaele calls out earning a sheepish smile from me.

"Such a stingy woman" Emiliano calls out as he settles beside me on the couch.

I rolled my eyes at his words knowing I would really not share my goodies with him.

"Go get yours" I say before childishly sticking out my tongue to him which has him raising a brow in surprise.

"Oh really now" He calls out and before I can answer, he is already snatching a chocolate from the ones spread around on the table for me.

I attempt to collect it seeing the smug smile on his face, and he dodges with a laugh.

He starts running round the office with me chasing after him and instantly I become annoyed.

"Raffaele" I call out, stomping my feet and marching towards Raffaele who is busy making a phone call.

I can see Emiliano’s eyes widening in fear but I don’t bother stopping.

This is for stealing my baby.

"What is it baby?" He questions, removing his gaze from the laptop perched on his desk.

"Emiliano took my chocolate" I say with the pout stuck on my face as I point at Emi who quickly stuffs the opened chocolate in his mouth.

"Emiliano" Raffaele growls with a glare and I almost laugh with how fast Emiliano starts chewing on the chocolate, not even enjoying it.

"She is lying," He says, pointing at me a slight narrow in his eyes.

"You betrayed me" he mouths but all I do is roll my eyes.

"He’s the liar" I say walking towards Raffaele who is now standing and walking towards Emiliano.

I don’t even know when I burst out laughing from the slap that Raffaele gives Emiliano at his back, making him go into a coughing fit.

Emiliano continues coughing and I immediately get worried.

"Are you ok?" I don’t even register when I rush towards him and start patting his back.

I shoot a glare at Raffaele who looks confused.

"It’s all your fault" I tell him with tears gathering in my eyes at the thought of anything happening to Emiliano.

"Come sit" I help him to cough and pass the glass of water to him.

Taking some gulps he finally stops coughing and passes me a smile.

"Are you ok?" I am still scared.

From how he was coughing earlier it is obvious he choked and though I am happy I just find it scary.

"I am" He replies and just then I hear a loud groan of pain.

Looking towards Raffaele I see that he has cut himself.

"Oh my goodness" Worry settles in as I see blood seeping out of his hand which has now turned red and I rush towards him.

"What happened?" I ask, but don’t wait for his answer before going to his desk to look for a first aid box.

Finding one, I start dressing his wound while staring at his face to make sure it is not hurting.

The man has his gaze focused on me, unrelenting and unmoving and for a moment it seems as if I am the one hurt from how scared and worried I have become.

I don’t even know that tears are streaming down my eyes till I am faced with Raffaele’s panicked expression and he raises his hand to wipe the tears.

"Please don’t cry baby" He calls out softly and even Emiliano rushes towards us to clean the tears.

"Are you alright Bells?" Emiliano squats beside me, his face mirroring the concern on his brother’s face.

"I*sob* was just scared" I whisper as embarrassment starts creeping in.

Why am I even crying like a baby for a reason such as this.

I start hiccuping and hearing my words Emiliano smiles while Raffaele still looks confused And worried.

"She’s ok brother" Emiliano tells Raffaele with a roll of his eyes and I nod my head to confirm his words.

"I am. Are you ok?" I question touching his hand where the injury is just a little.

Third pov.

"Go give this to Anna, I’ll help him" Emiliano says, passing a cupcake to her from her own goodies.

Hmm she would have been annoyed but it’s Anna and she is a sweetheart so no deal.

Collecting the cupcake from Emiliano, she happily skips out of the office and the moment she is out, Raffaele stands up to go sit on a chair.

"You did that on purpose" Emiliano calls out to his elder brother.

"What" Raffaele questions with a small smirk etched on his lips as he stares at his younger brother, his expression void of anything.

"Come on brother, we both know what I am talking about" Emiliano says rolling his eyes before sitting on the other chair.

"Hmm, I was just testing out a theory," Raffaele says, shrugging like it’s nothing.

"It’s not good to get her so worried brother, but that was sweet, who knew a Raf in love can be impulsive and jealous" Emiliano teases with a serious hint at the beginning of his sentence.

Raffaele doesn’t say anything to that as he knows his family cares about her, which is something he greatly appreciates.

"Me, jealous of you oh please brother have you seen me" Raffaele retorts and Emiliano throws back his head as the sound of his laughter echoes round the office.

"I can’t believe the cold Raffaele just said that" Emiliano says, still laughing at his brother’s words.

"Solved your issue" Raffaele questions, his deep gaze focused on Emiliano whose laughter has died down and is now fidgeting.

"Hmm, yes but not completely" He answers to which Raffaele just nods his head.

The door to the office is opened andBella steps in with Anna right beside her.

"Sir, you have a meeting with the finance department now" Raffaele friends slightly, his gaze moving to the wrist watch perched on his wrist.

"Hmm, We’ll be there" With that he stands up to walk towards Bella.

Bending to her height, he connects their lips and instantly her eyes widen at his action as she tries to pull away but he has his arms around her waist and pulls her to his chest.

After a short kiss, he pulls away and gazes intensely at her.

"I’ll be back" With that he leads her to his huge office chair and helps her sit before dragging out a grinning Emiliano.

Bella smiles at Emiliano’s antics while shaking her head to herself as she rests her back against the chair, totally relaxing.

Feeling bored she starts operating his laptop and after calling to confirm if she can use it to watch a movie she starts watching one.

She is so engrossed in her movie that when the door to the office is open she doesn’t bother looking up and just assumes it’s Raffaele.

"Who are you?" An authoritative feminine voice questions in a loud voice.

Shocked, Bella looks up to see a really tall and lean woman standing there.

Dressed in a suit and holding an air of authority, she has her arms folded across her chest as she eyes Bella with skepticism.

Bella clears her throat before pausing her movie to make sure she doesn’t miss the part she was just hopelessly drooling over the hero in the movie.

"Who are you?" Usually she wouldn’t answer a question with one but the way the woman before her stands with an air of authority has her asking in a voice that is stern too.

"I am here for Raff" The woman states her eyes are still fixed on Bella who now looks more confused but slightly at ease.

Must be a partner.

"Oh you can wait there" Bella points at the couch and doesn’t bother staring at the woman she she moves towards the couch to start arranging her snacks and taking it to the table.

The look the strange woman passes her tells her just how bothered the said woman is by her actions.

"Don’t ruin his work desk and why are you eating here" She calls out to her like a boss scolding an employee as she glares at Bella who bites back a smile.

"Raffaele asked me to" Bella simply replies and starts munching on her snacks rather loudly.

The woman makes a face at that and she hears her muttering something under her breathe and along the lines of.

’So mannerless or unladylike’ fighting back an eye roll she decides to give her undivided attention to the movie playing when she hears the woman hissing.

"Are you like his niece, why are you using something he uses for work to do that little girl" The woman calls out
