Chapter 69: Chapter 68: Attention

Bella’s pov

The moment we step out of the car, it is almost automatic how attention shifts to us, my face is still red as I try hard to make myself invisible but the people’s eyes become glued on us.

"Are you ok" Comes his question and before I can answer he is already sending a heated glare towards his employees that have decided staring is more important than entering their office building.

I nod my head in answer to his words but watch how a single heated glare he directs at that has them scrabbling and quickly walking into the building.

A small sigh of relief escapes though I feel amused and bad at the same time.

He starts leading into the building with his trails of bodyguards already arranging themselves.

Some stay out there while the others follow behind and I cannot help but think of how unnecessary all these are.

"Good morning sir"

"Good morning ma" Rings out through out the building and while I smile and nod politely with a little wave of my hand, the rude man seems to be having none of it as he just walks, his face set in stone.

We get into an elevator which I know is his private elevator as even his guards take the other one.

What if an enemy is in the elevator?

I wanted to ask but decided against it and choose to just keep my mouth shut.

Soon we arrive at the floor where his office is located and the moment the elevator doors open the other one does and the guards file out.

The office door is opened by two guards who step in first before I do and Raffaele enters right behind me.

With his phone pressed against his ears.

"Hmm" He hums to the person on the other side of the phone.

That is usually how he communicates and barely says anything even when it is important.

"Eros, I did not hire them to teach them" His voice now sounds cold and he chuckles.

"Hmm, fire them" Is all he says before ending the call and turning to face me.

"What is it baby" He questions soothingly and I pass him a small smile.

"Are you having problems with workers" I ask trying to avoid feeling or being awkward in front of him.

"Hmm, Eros decided to be an as.hole and almost killed some workers of mine in a branch and after getting new recruits he is saying they are young and need to be trained" He explains calmly while stretching out his hand for me to take which I do.

"Why? what happened?" I ask genuinely curious and feeling pity for those workers.

"Nothing serious baby" Raffaele answers and I can sense an edge to his voice.

I am about to continue asking when there is a sudden knock on the door.

"Come in" Raffaele says his voice booming with authority.

The door is opened slowly.

Too slow and I started to think this is some horror movie where a very hideous and scary character will appear but I see something else....

A very cute lady steps in with nervous steps and a file in hand.

She is red headed and it is put in a bun, her heartshaped face made more prominent and with the glasses perched on her nose she just looks more cute.

She is tall, tanned, and a little bit curvy wearing a black pencil skirt and white button up.

She walks towards where we are standing her steps hesitant and scared.

"G-g-good morning sir" She greets and even her voice is cute.

I am straight

But we just have to admire beauty when we see one and I am amongst those girls that do.

"Morning, who are you" Raffaele questions and I can see her face going slightly pale at the sound of his voice.

"The assistant of the secretary sir, Miss Anna sent me to deliver these files to you" She says and points at the files in her hand.

"Drop them" Simple as he points at the table and she does quickly before standing up straight like an army ready to be given command.

I can see how her eyes are trying not to stare at us and I can’t really blame the poor girl.

His presence is suffocating.

"My name is Ava smith sir" She mutters shyly and I smile at that.

"Raffaele" I call out in an excited voice as U turn to face Raffaele eho is busy clicking something on his macbook.

"Hmm" He answers glancing at mewith a concentrated expression.

"Can I hang out with Anna for sometime?" I ask with a small smile on my face.

"Hmm, but be careful and a guard will go with you" After pulling me to his chest and a hug later, I am finally allowed to go out and I step out with Ava.

"What’s your name" She asks turning to face me and I pass her a smile.

"Bella" I reply.

"Wow you truly are a Belle" She says staring at me from head to toe and I find myself blushing at her words as I mutter a small thank you.

I get compliments but they always end up making me feel some way.

She tells me about herself while I do the same andsoon I realise she is a fun person who is absolutely terrified of Raffaele asshe says she has heard stories about the man.

I smile at her words and don’t bother correcting them as they may as well be the truth.

I enter Anna’s office without knocking and it is at that moment I regret it.

Her face is being eaten by none other than Emiliano.

"Audience" I shriek and the two pull away from each other surprised.

Instead of feeling even a little shame, they have smirks on their faces as they stare at me.

"Bells, my baby" Emiliano calls out standing up with his arms open ashe goes to pull me into a hug which I skillfly dofge.

"Bells" Emiliano calls out with a whine and piout as he places a hand on the left side of his chest, his face looking cute.

"You don’t want to hug papa bear" he again whines and myself and Anna chuckle at that.

"I don’t know where those hands hanve been Papa bear" I say with a hint of sarcasm and he gasps at that.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"I don’t know where those hands have been and I am definitely not allowing them touch me" I say my face twisting a little.

"Oh theyhave nern nowhere and waiting for you to fall perfectly into them" He says and I roll my eyes at the obvious lie.

"I saw them in Anna’s skirt" I point out and he grins widely at that.

"Oh I was just helping the young lady" He says trying to sound like a child while inserting a british accent.

Anna and I giggle while I shake my head at that.

"It sure did look morethan that, right Ava?" I ask Ava who has been starring at us with a small smile on her face.

At the attebntion been drawn to her, she blushes and ducks her head low something I am sure even Anna finds adorable.

"Who is this" Emiliano asks his face suddenly turning serious as he passes her a look.

I roll my eyes at how his voice now has a protective edge like that of his brother’s.

"Ava, she works here" I say and dont bother going further as I walk towards Anna to hug her while giving her rhe eyes that she’ll explain everything to me.

Emiliano accesses her and tat makes her uncomfirtsvle as she starts fidgeting

"Please E srop starring at her" Anna calls out and his gaze moves to her befire nodding his head.

"Does brother know you are here with her?" Emiliano asks.

"Yes what is it" I ask

"Don’t you know its not good to be too close to strangers " Ok that’s it, he has probably taken an oath to make the pooe girl feel bad as she nkw looks dohwn.

"You may leave Ava" Anna says and I let out a sigh at her saving the girl from Emiliano.

Emi is a sweetheart and is always one to us but when he turns seriius then there is nothing you can do about it

Lets not talk about his anger that is explosive.

He is the calm before the storm tho is brother isthe wind before the storm.

It seems they have it in their blood s even Angel who is an Angel when piseed off can turn to somebody else entirely.

She hardly backs down as the strong feme that it is.

Soon the atmosphee goes back to normal in the office and we find ourselves laughing abd talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

Unknown to me there is a person watching from the CCTV
