Beastmen Love
Chapter 93: Kingdom Of Aquaterra

Chapter 93: Kingdom Of Aquaterra

During the night, Beau couldn’t sleep knowing that Astri was sleeping in the same room. Her beautiful and peaceful face was making him want to watch her all night.

Next morning, Astri is on the deck relaxing in the warm weather. Leaning on the guardrail of the front she sees Beau in his beast form squirting water to signal Galion and the other priest guards that there’s nothing near. It became a routine for Beau to use his whale sonar to learn what was around to prevent any surprise attack since Biggie was not always around.

The weather in Aquaterra is like a Tropical Country in the human world, Astri is enjoying the weather, even more now that she can wear lighter clothes. Astri decides to fly a little to enjoy the weather more. Beau walks to the deck and sees Astri flying, her beautiful white wings reflecting the sun. She spots him watching her from the deck, so she lands in front of him.

"Have you ever seen the world from above?" She asks him.

"No.."

"Do you want to?"

"How?"

She smiles and rushes to his side, holding his hand and before he blushes with her action she flies away holding his hand and he feels his body floating. He’s amazed with the view, and the different feeling of not having control of his own body like he has in the water.

She flies to the clouds and shows him that it is also made of water, as they fly Beau takes a glance at Astri on his side and their hands together. After some minutes she flies back to the deck.

"The weather is amazing." She says satisfied.

"Hey. I want to fly too." Shan whines walking to them.

She chuckles and then makes him fly with her powers and he screams excitedly.

"You don’t have to hold hands to make someone fly?" Beau asks her.

"No." She says, smiling.

"Then... Why did you..?"

She shrugs her shoulders, playing dumb. He loses his voice for a moment as she makes Shan fly, but then he walks away blushing since his thoughts are bringing him somewhere he’s not sure if it’s correct to be.

Astri knows she forced a little bit with her own curiosity and now she feels a little guilty for making him more confused. It’s better to keep things the way they were, not playing with fire, and let him decide things on his own. Males are very proud of themselves, taking the lead most of the time, feeling weak if they don’t.

Astri makes the decision of simply hoping Beau will break the shackles of mind someday, with her or not. She doesn’t want to be like all females and make males accept her, they should choose and decide, and she will be happy if he’s happy too.

In the next few days, Beau noticed she was acting a bit distant and hardly had a conversation with him anymore, and that made him feel lonely again.

She would always come with a bright smile to ask him if she could use the controls, talk about things and teach him curiosities of the world. Now she’s not being the same as usual.

"Did you reject Astri formally?" Shan asks Beau in the kitchen.

They were alone in the kitchen and Beau was taken by surprise when he was asked that.

"What?.. No. What do you mean?" Beau asks, taking the clean plates to put it down in the plate storage box.

"She’s distant.. It looks like she lost her interest in you, big guy."

"What? I don’t think she was interested. She must be busy and we’re getting closer. Feeling the energies of Aquaterra and getting messages from Nature. She must be tired like when we met Biggie."

Shan shrugs his shoulders.

"Maybe. I hope the Queen is fine and we arrive on time."

"Me too."

Shan doesn’t ask Beau about his relationship with Astri and pretends he didn’t notice Beau looks like a lost puppy.

Astri is in the bedroom, feeling that the energies are getting darker as they’re near Aquaterra. Claud can feel the same.

"I found the Queen. She’s in a bad state.. She’s not only sick, her spirit is being completely corrupted.. She almost looks like an empty casket." Claud says.

"Does she have any chance?" Lee asks.

"I’m not sure. If it depended on me I don’t think I could help." Claud answers looking at Astri. "However, maybe Astri can help her."

Astri is looking at nowhere specific, deep in thought.

"Love?" Wayde calls her.

"Hum?" She answers, not actually looking at them.

"What is the problem?" Cyprian asks.

"Did you check the Queen too?" Claud asks her and she nods in response. "And?"

"It won’t be easy. I will need your help. All of you." She answers.

"I see. Her spouses will be a problem." Claud says.

"Explain first. Stop talking in codes, you two." Lee speaks.

"The Queen’s mind is completely taken. It is not her that will talk or act. The darkness inside of her will fight to not be taken. She didn’t get this corrupted without help. There’s someone poisoning her mind. Her spouses are not poisoning her, but they will protect her even if she asks the unthinkable. We must hold them or convince them to trust us." Astri explains.

"And how should we convince them?" Wayde asks.

"With tact. All of them are sensitive. If you’re anyhow aggressive, they will push us away. Careful with your words and reactions. They will question me and you will have to trust me and Beau. Beau is who they trust the most. Let him take the lead. If things get complicated, you and the priest guards will hold them. Claud will help you because they have the royal guards too. I’ll focus on the Queen."

They nod.

"But.. Can you help her? Can you help a mind that is already lost? What if they blame you if things don’t work?" Zin asks.

"Let them. It will be a great loss for their kingdom. I’ll do everything I can to save her, trusting entirely in Nature. Do the same. Nature wouldn’t let me come here if it was a lost cause."

They understand and decide to trust Nature too.

——

Finally, the Islands of Aquaterra are getting near. Astri and her spouses can see how great they are from the outside and also can see ships inside the water.

When they finally get to the port, they start to get ready to leave. They’re greeted by guards, three Kings, and a very old male.

"Welcome to Aquaterra. Our Greatest Elder had the vision that Nature has a chosen beastman with its powers. We’re honored to have such a presence in our Kingdom." The King, wearing a green scales skirt, short hair, and deep green eyes speaks.

"Who from you is Nature in form?" The King with black scales, red long hair, and long arms speak.

The Elder is looking at them, analyzing every move and his eyes land on Claud, and then on Astri next to him.

She was wearing an elegant silk cloth. Not exposing her body as usual, but her beauty is noticed by everyone there.

The Elder felt her energy and soon realized that it was her who they were looking for. He walks slowly to her and bows in her presence, just like Elder Jin.

"It is my greatest honor to be in your presence, precious Daughter of Nature. It is a great blessing for my generation to have thy presence, Goddess of Nature."

Astri is kind of impressed with their more formal and royal language.

"It is our honor to be in this magnificent kingdom. My name is Astri, these are my beloved spouses, and those behind them are my guardians. These are my cubs. I appreciate the warm welcome, though I know the times are dark." She can talk very well after reading so many books.

The Kings and guards are impressed that a female is the one connected to Nature, however, they don’t question since their Elder confirmed her identity.

"It is turbulent times. Captain Beau must have told you everything." The King in Green speaks.

"He did tell me everything he knew about the Queen’s condition. With no longing, we must go and meet her. Time is fading."

Beau, Shan, Ferd and Hawa never saw Astri acting this polite and serious. As they walk through the city directed to the Queen’s Castle, they hear her voice simultaneously:

"Speak in your mind, please. I will need as much help as I can get."

"What is it?" They ask.

"Do you trust me?"

They look at her at the same time and they realized she’s talking only to them.

"Of course I trust." Shan answers first, followed by Hawa and Ferd.

"With my life." Beau answers.

"Thank you. Please, follow the lead of my spouses if anything happens. Beau, they don’t trust me entirely and they might listen to you. What the Queen has will not be easily solved and she will feel pain. The Queen’s mind is taken by a dark soul that is not her. Whoever speaks in her place, it is not her. I need you to trust me that I’ll save her even if she cries for help." Astri explains.

They’re hit with the realization that the Queen is in a worse situation than they imagined and that if she was only sick, Astri would only send Claud who’s the best for this.

"I believe you. I’ll do anything I can." Beau speaks.

They keep walking and soon they’re faced with a tall entrance with waterfalls, with crystals and corals. The castle is big and a proof of wealth, there are two tunnels of water that lead to the castle and meet under it.

"Remember me to look at the engineer of how they built this once we’re done with our mission here." Astri whispers to Claud.
