Chapter 94: Imprisoned Soul

Claud smiles and nods. Astri will be always curious about learning new things. Aquaterra is more evolved in technologies and it might be good for them to learn from that place the most they can.

They’re taken to the castle through Gondolas like in Venice, pass the main gate, and arrive at the front of the castle. They entered the main hall and the Kings stopped walking.

"Only the Goddess of Nature is allowed inside. Our Queen is too weak to be exposed to any danger." The King with the blue skirt speaks.

"I understand you’re worried, King Aavi. However, if I’m going to be in the same room as all of the Kings and Queen, I also want to have my spouses and guards with me. I would reject their presence only if I could meet the Queen alone." Astri answers.

"The Royal Healer said she cannot be alone and we trust his judgment. We don’t want to disrespect, but no one is allowed inside instead of selected people due to her health."

"The Royal Healer also said that she can’t be put into any kind of hard situation or be in the presence of any other instead of her spouses." The King in Green speaks.

"Are you suspecting that I wish to endanger the Queen’s life?" Astri asks.

"N-no. We just want to make sure our Queen will be safe."

"My Kings, I traveled with the Goddess all the way here and I know her spouses and guards. They won’t be any danger even if they’re powerful. One of her spouses is very knowledgeable in Medicine and I’m sure he can help too." Beau tries to convince them.

"If we needed good healers then we already have one. We want someone to save our Queen." The King in Blue says firmly.

"And my condition is that they will come with me. Or else, I might turn away and leave since I can’t be useful here." Astri estates.

They get in silence feeling the pressure of her energy.

"You can stand aside with them and I’ll be the only one getting closer to her. Don’t take me as a charlatan. I didn’t travel all this way not being sure that I couldn’t save the Queen. However, if you do not let me, you’re the ones to be blamed."

They look at each other sighing and then they nod to her. They’re taken to a room that looks more like a ballroom due to how big it is, but since all the Queen’s spouses were there, Astri imagined she was being kept in a large room.

Astri is presented to everyone, but her eyes are on the Queen. Her skin has a sick gray color, her eyes are dark and deep, and her lips are cracked and dry. The Queen is sitting inside a pool, and her eyes shined red for a moment when she sees Astri.

"What is the meaning of this? The Queen can’t have so many visitors!" A man with dark messy long hair, wearing dark clothes and with very pale skin that his veins are visible speaks.

His eyes to Astri are of fear, but also disdain. Claud can feel that this beastmen is actually a Monster disguised.

"Don’t.. let her.. near me.." The Queen whispers to the pale beastmen. Her voice is dry and her skin is very dirty. The white part of her eyes is dark grey and with blood-red veins.

"Yes, Your Highness. She won’t be near you." He says to the Queen, then stands up and walks further. "The Queen doesn’t want anyone near her. Including the Sent from Nature. We must grant her wish since she’s in hard conditions."

"Doctor Krimm. The Goddess affirms she can save our Queen. Let her take a look at our Queen." King Aavi says.

"The powers of the Goddess of Nature are far beyond what we know. If there’s someone who can help our Queen it is her." The Elder speaks.

"I cannot grant her presence if our Queen doesn’t want it." Krimm speaks.

Astri’s group questioned themselves why a doctor has more power than the Kings and Elder. Only Claud and Astri know what Krimm is.

"Queen Deanora. If you don’t want me here, tell me. I dare you to direct your words to me." Astri says, walking to the Queen’s direction.

Krimm jumps in front of Astri.

"The Queen won’t speak.." Krimm speaks and then Astri puts her spear on his neck, taking him by surprise.

"Keep your dark tongue inside your closed mouth, you disgusting creature. I know what you are." Astri affirms with a serious tone.

Krimm trembles in fear, but he doesn’t move.

"Kings! Obey your Queen!" Krimm says.

The Kings started to move, but then Astri’s spouses and guards positioned themselves to prevent them. Beau, Hawa, Shan and Ferd too.

"Captain Beau!! What is this treason?! How dare you go against us?" One of the Kings says angry.

"I’m not against you, my Kings. Let Astri help. Trust her." Beau speaks.

The Kings try to fight their way, but Claud holds most of them with his powers. Astri kicks Krimm’s face, then pierces his leg with her spear on the ground making him scream in pain.

Astri looks back at the Queen, who starts to look like feeling pain, but then she grows angry and looks at Astri with deep red eyes.

"Do you think you can save her, Nature’s Pet? You’re nothing here. I have the power and control of everything and everyone here." The Queen speaks, but her voice is not the same, and that takes everyone’s attention.

"I’m the only one who can defeat you. Nature created everything, including you, and Nature is me." Astri speaks and then with her powers, she makes the Queen float, putting her sitting on the ground in front of her.

The Queen screams loudly and fights to get free. Her screams have many tones of voice that pierce the ears of her spouses.

"Help me! Please, help me!!" They hear a more feminine voice, making her spouses react and try to fight again.

"Leave her soul, now!" Astri orders and touches the Queen’s forehead.

Deanora screams as she is being burned alive.

A King could pass quickly dodging Ferd, then he takes Astri’s spear and throws it at her, hitting her leg.

Astri screams in pain, losing a little of her grip on Deanora, who pushes Astri away. Astri removed the spear from her leg.

"The Daughter of Nature can bleed." Deanora laughs like a maniac, but her voice is now deeper again.

Astri holds Deanora again with her powers, who screams angrily again. Astri throws her on the ground and then sits on Deanora’s chest, who screams loudly in pain.

"Leave her soul now!!" Astri orders.

"NEVER! SHE’S MINE!!"

Everyone stops to watch because the voice is not from the Queen.

"I AM THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS. I OWN HER SOUL AND THIS KINGDOM IS MINE!!"

Everyone was shocked when they heard that.

"I know who you are. You’re nothing. Release her soul now." Astri says and presses her hands on Deanora’s head.

Deanora screams and tries to move, kicking around. From nowhere, she stops, and her eyes go pitch black, aiming them at Astri, with a face of pure anger that it doesn’t look like from the Queen’s face.

"If I go. She dies." Deanora says in pain and growling.

She’s a sea turtle and her kind doesn’t growl, proving to everyone that the one there is not the real Deanora. That voice is even deeper than the other one. And Astri knows from who that voice is.

"Fool, you think I’m holding her life or yours? If you don’t go, you’re the one who will die." Astri says.

Deanora growls louder.

"I’ll find you, Daughter of Nature. And I’ll feed myself from you. Mark my words!"

"Come. I have plenty of light to give if you want it so much." Astri smiles mischievously.

Then Deanora’s body goes limp. Her skin magically started to change to the normal tanned color. Astri stands up and limps away.

The Kings gathered around the Queen. The Great King has black long hair, with some silver locks, and he holds her worried. But all of them become happy when they see Deanora opening her eyes and looking around.

"Wha.. what.. Wh." She tries to speak.

"Rest, Queen Deanora. You can finally rest and breathe as a free spirit." Astri says limping to Krimm and grabbing him with her powers. "Now you come with us, filth."

"No! I must stay with the Queen. I’m her private doctor! My Queen, please." Krim says scared.

"We know what you are, monster." Claud holds him with his powers in one hand and with the other arm he holds Astri.

Her spouses ran to her, worried about her wound. Beau goes to Astri and checks her wound worried, Zin was making a bandage to stop the bleeding.

"You called him, monster?..." The Great King says looking at Krimm.

"He’s a monster in disguise. He was always around the Queen to keep corrupting her soul." Astri answers.

"I always thought he was strange!! Deanora would never protect a male like that. She always wanted him around." One of the Kings says angry.

All of them started to agree and wanted to kill Krimm.

"Kings of Aquaterra!!" Astri says loudly to call their attention.

They stop to listen to Astri.

"I know you’re angry and want to avenge your Queen. However, what she needs now is your good energy and your presence. Feeding the evil with more evil energies is not the answer. You will be leaving the door open to your Queen to be corrupted again." Astri softly says.

The Kings are very much worried about their Queen, and they see how powerful Astri is to remove whatever was inside of the Queen for so long, that they trust her words.

"Did you finish, Claud?" Cyprian asks.

"Yes." Claud answers.

Claud was reading all of Krimm’s mind to learn the intentions and the real culprits being this. Astri starts to shine and then floats in Krimm’s direction.

Krimm screams so loudly trying to run away and break free from Claud’s powers. Krimm loses his voice when Astri touches his head, like he was shot in his head and then a dark smoke starts to dissipate from him.

Claud removed his grip from Krimm, who fell dead after his body became dry like an old dead body.

"The real Krimm was dead long ago." Claud speaks.

"Exactly.. whew. All right, yay. Good job, guys. Let’s just take the rest of the day. Main mission accomplished." Astri says, feeling pain in her leg.

Wayde carries her, and Zin is holding her wound to stop the bleeding.

"You must be treated. Come. I’ll bring you to the room that was being prepared for you." Beau speaks, also worried about her.

"Thank you, Beau. Can you get us our medicines too?" Lee asks.

"Sure."

"My Kings. Take your Queen to rest. You may rest in peace, knowing that she’s no longer at risk." Astri tells them.

"We apologize for not trusting entirely in you.. and I’m sorry for hurting you. I accept any punishment." The King who threw the spear on Astri says bowing deeply to her.

"You were affected by the worry and bad energies coming from your Queen. I don’t blame you for trying to protect her. King Asus, there’s nothing to forgive."

Beau is sure that neither he, Shan, Hawa and Ferd ever told the names of the Kings and she knows all of their names.

He was right when he thought that she was concentrating on learning everything she needed to learn before facing the Queen.
