Having more attributes wasn’t necessarily a good thing. Regardless of how many attributes a familiar had, it would ultimately have to choose one to focus on and supplement with the others. This was the only way to reach the peak. It appeared that the Divine Deer and Six-Paths Flower were in agreement on this.

Lu Ran was surprised by the explanation, but thinking it over, it did make sense. The Six-Paths Flower was level 99 but only had a single attribute. It obviously had the chance to obtain more.

It had a domain-related species talent, thus it definitely had a strong affinity for the Space attribute. Even some Space familiars didn’t have the ability to form their own domain. The Six-Paths Flower’s Hell Domain affected the flow of time. It could even pass as a Time-attribute technique.

There was also the Beast Path talent that enslaved other creatures and the Celestial Path talent which had a powerful intimidating effect. Both were obviously related to the Spirit attribute as they affected the mind.

Just as the Six-Paths Flower said earlier, these various powers were all integrated into its Grass attribute.

Manager Ying has so many attributes. It turns out that it’s actually pretty weak rather than strong.Attribute optimization, huh?

Lu Ran made mental notes of everything the Six-Paths Flower was teaching him. He decided to set out a detailed plan for Captain Doofus and Dark Crow’s future. Sudden Death King was already already focused on the Dragon attribute which meant that it was on the right path.

Lu Ran’s main headache was Baby Cloud. He picked its talents specifically to accommodate various attributes. He was only now finding out that this was a bad idea. If he had known that earlier, he wouldn’t have pawned it off to Manager Ying. Spending so much time with that cat had led Baby Cloud astray.

In hindsight, even the elemental gods of the Elemental Era mostly had a single attribute, such as the Fire God, Lightning God, and Ice God.

"Hey!" Six-Paths Flower got annoyed when it saw Lu Ran getting distracted.

Why is everything a surprise to this guy?

"Huh? Oh, sorry." Lu Ran snapped out of it, but he was still somewhat thinking about the last thing that the Six-Paths Flower said.

"Hehe." Although the Six-Paths Flower was reborn, its personality remained largely the same.

"I'll have to trouble Sister Flower to properly guide me. Do we still need to use the contract card?"

The Divine Deer helped him open a beastmaster space but it didn’t work exactly the same as a contract card. For instance, the Stellar Moon Continent’s Limitless City didn’t have traits because of how their familiar contracts worked.

Lu Ran felt that using the beastmaster space would allow him more flexibility and would allow him to somewhat bypass Limitless City’s restrictions, but at the same time, he would lose some benefits.

"We will obviously have to use the contract card if we want to explore Limitless City. Hurry up and do it,” the Six-Paths Flower said as it rolled its eyes.

"OK." Lu Ran didn’t hesitate any longer and used the contract card.

Of course, he wasn’t going to let his beastmaster space sit empty. Besides contracting familiars, it could also be used for testing and practicing skills.

Whether it was the Necromancy skill or the Sealed Transformation skill that the city lord gave him, Lu Ran had the perfect place to train new skills. This was a chance to significantly improve his strength.

Lu Ran took out the new contract card he got from the ascension realm and handed it to the Six-Paths Flower. Sister Flower accepted it and completed the contract without much reaction. Having done it once before already, there wasn’t much to think about the second time around.

"Congratulations." The Divine Deer was happy to see the two complete their contract.

"You can be honest with me, Lord Divine Deer. Back in the ascension realm, the Six-Paths Flower couldn’t go past level 99. It even caught the attention of some tiger that came to beat us up. If the ascension realm didn’t close in time, it would’ve eaten us and there wouldn’t even be crumbs left. If the Six-Paths Flower tries to reach the Legendary rank again and we draw the attention of another beast god, will you be able to protect us?"

Lu Ran was worried that although most of the beast gods that suppressed humans and plants had passed away, there were still a few still alive. They weren’t something easy to deal with.

He had asked the Squirrel God about it, and the weakest of the lot were of the Intermediate-Legendary rank. Their master, the Chaos Dragon God, was of the Primary Divine rank. Any one of them was beyond his reach for the immediate future. Actually, they would be a major problem even further down the road.

"This..." The Divine Deer didn’t know how to respond.

"I believe that if you break through in Limitless City or on Blue Planet then you shouldn’t face the problem of being discovered. Once you leave Limitless City, you should be fine as long as you stay on Blue Planet. If you come to the Stellar Moon Continent or an ascension realm, you would obviously run the risk of being discovered. Having an item or skill that masks your aura would be very helpful, however."

A stealth skill?

Lu Ran looked through his storage.

Whether it was exploring Limitless City or maintaining peace on the continent in the future, Lu Ran was the most reliable candidate it had. Therefore, the Divine Deer wouldn’t be stingy in the slightest with him and invest everything it had in him.

A few moments later, Lu Ran summoned the Six-Paths Flower again.

"Ok, let’s get to what you came for. I will help you open a beastmaster space. The God of Six Paths just underwent rebirth so it won’t be able to help much. I will help it reach level 50, which is the highest that Lu Ran can handle right now."

"Thank you!" Lu Ran and the Six-Paths Flower agreed in unison.

The Six-Paths Flower might have a lot of practical experience, but it didn’t have the levels to match it. Six-Paths Flower had previously been able to compress energy a hundred times, but it currently lacked the physique. Therefore it wouldn’t be able to support any skills with such high energy density.

The same applied to other energy applications. The physical body was a major limiting factor. Leveling up was a top priority when it came to restoring its combat capabilities.

Lu Ran and Six-Paths Flower exchanged glances. Mooching off the Divine Deer sure felt great! This was turning out to be a great start to their contract.

Bai Lu, the other messenger of the Divine Deer, was still completely unaware of Lu Ran stealing her job. She was being blatantly scammed by Manager Ying.

"The Limitless City on Blue Planet is much more advanced than the Stellar Moon Federation’s. We can be considered friends now. The guardian of the teleportation array is a kin of the Space Dragon and an old buddy of mine. I can get its permission to take you to Blue Planet and use the Limitless City there to improve your strength. Only with adequate power can you help Lord Divine Deer maintain peace across the continent."

Bai Lu could only nod along at Manager Ying’s constant plying. Admittedly, she was very curious about the Limitless City on Blue Planet.

"Thank you. You are so nice!" Bai Lu smiled at Manager Ying.

"Oh, it’s nothing."

This person is much easier to deal with than Lu Ran. She has a bunch of information, so it’s time to make a killing!

Several days passed in the blink of an eye.

Inside the valley, Lu Ran was wrapped in a bunch of plants and hung from the branch of an ancient tree. Although he appeared to be in deep slumber, his mental world was super active. In his head, there was a mini version of him standing in the middle of an empty space. It studied the surroundings as it stood there.

"Is this the beastmaster space?”

“Well, it’s actually a combination of a beastmaster space and plantmaster space," a voice echoed from outside.

"Lord Divine Deer, is the space complete now?"

"Yes, this space is the same as what any level 4 beastmaster should have. The beastmaster space can also produce various effects by using special meditation techniques, or by reaching level 7. You will have to explore these things on your own."

After hearing the Divine Deer’s explanation, Lu Ran slowly opened his eyes in the real world and saw that he was still hanging from the tree.

"One of the Death Dragon’s kin also lives in the deep sea and is currently suppressing the Evil God Seal. Another one of its kin is the master of the Underworld secret realm.

“Of the Space Dragon’s kins, there’s the half-dead Squirrel God and a member of the Divine Void Court.

"The Time Dragon only has one kin that is extremely mysterious. It lives in a quantum tunnel to stop time travelers from popping up on the Stellar Moon Continent.

"According to Bai Lu's information, there are two beastmasters called Death Gun and Kongkong Yi. They are suspected to be the messengers of the Underworld Lord and the Void God, respectively. This means that they should have a certain degree of knowledge about the true state of the world.

"One of your missions will be to visit the Divine Turtle, the other kin of the Life Dragon and an old friend of mine. It is sleeping in the deep seas of the Stellar Moon Continent and has a very shallow understanding of Limitless City. "The Stone of the Other Shore... Yes, I know of it. It’s an item given to the God of the Other Shore by the Death Dragon. It is very powerful, but it fell into a spatial tear and was lost when the God of the Other Shore died.”

"The Stone of the Other Shore seems to be on Blue Planet!" Lu Ran exclaimed.

"What? Are you sure?" The Divine Deer was startled by the revelation.

"Yes, but the local legends say that there are specific conditions for finding it. A person must possess a piece of the Death Dragon and possess a powerful Undead familiar."

The deer contemplated it silently for a moment.

"I see. No wonder the other kin of the Death Dragon couldn’t find the stone after the God of the Other Shore died. It turns out that it found its way to Blue Planet. The conditions you mentioned should have been set by Lord Death Dragon.

“Having a piece of the Death Dragon actually refers to its kin. Kin are considered a part of their masters. A powerful Undead familiar should also refer to a kin of the Death Dragon. Only they would have the ultimate power of Death.
