Chapter 1532: Chapter 1532 Huge Compensation 1

Feng Qingxue had just finished making the promised Dacron clothes for her child, washed them, and hung them out to dry, when she was called to the school.

Accompanying her were the parents of the boys involved—the four who had fought.

Teacher Zhao couldn’t bear the consequences of sending home several bruised and battered children and having to face their parents’ anger. After all, the boys were all the children of high-ranking officials. It was precisely their superior backgrounds that had shaped their arrogant dispositions, leaving the teacher no choice but to summon the parents.

Feng Qingxue, worried about her daughter, arrived first.

She jogged the entire way, sweat dripping and dampening her bangs that clung to her full forehead.

"Teacher Zhao, what trouble has my Lu Tianhui caused? I’m so sorry, it must have been a huge inconvenience for you." When she saw her daughter with reddened eyes and tear-streaked cheeks, looking utterly shocked, Feng Qingxue, still catching her breath, hugged her tightly. At the same time, she noticed the four boys standing miserably in a row like a lineup, still unwilling to back down. They glared at each other, their stares colliding in an invisible battle within the room.

Teacher Zhao quickly explained, "Lu Tianhui didn’t cause any trouble. Although the incident began with her, she’s innocent." She had a fair and honest disposition, never blaming Lu Tianhui for the boys’ fight.

Feng Qingxue, feeling relieved, asked what exactly had happened.

Before Teacher Zhao could respond, Fubao sniffled and began to explain, "It happened after class. They wanted to play with me. I said okay, I like making new friends and playing with everyone. But I don’t know why—they just started fighting."

Though she was clever, Fubao was still just a child, unable to truly grasp the reasons behind the boys’ brawl.

Having been schooled in the Capital, she had never seen classmates behave so barbarically before. Without warning, they started throwing punches and even flipped her desk. Her stationery and books scattered across the floor, and the schoolbag sewn by her mother got trampled on. It was deeply aggravating.

Teacher Zhao was just about to explain the sequence of events to Feng Qingxue when a burly boy with thick eyebrows and big eyes stomped over to her. He stood face to face with Feng Qingxue, looking up at her and saying, "Are you Lu Tianhui’s parent? You look so much alike—you’re both so pretty. You have to make Lu Tianhui play with me and stop playing with them!"

"Shen Feng, you bastard! Who gave you the right to stop Lu Tianhui from playing with me?" Another boy, clean and refined in appearance yet with rebellion written all over his face, charged forward, ready for another fight. But Teacher Zhao stretched out an arm to stop him.

Shen Feng puffed his chest out and declared, "Because my dad is Shen Qing."

"What’s so impressive about being a regiment commander?" the pale, delicate-looking boy scoffed. "My dad is your dad’s superior!"

Shen Feng’s face flushed red. "Well, my grandfather is a deputy military commander, and my great-uncle is a marshal!"

"You’re proud of your grandpa and great-uncle? Let’s compare grandfathers then. My grandpa is a commander-in-chief!" The clean-looking boy refused to back down, sneering, "There’s a difference between being a direct grandson and being just a grandson through marriage!"

Teacher Zhao, furious, shouted, "Shen Feng, Ye Yan, do you think you’re untouchable? Is your sense of self-importance inflated by your parents’ high-ranking positions?"

Shen Feng and Ye Yan looked at each other for a moment, both snorted, and then turned away simultaneously.

The other two boys didn’t step forward to join the fray; instead, they hung their heads low, trying to look like obedient students.

Feng Qingxue quickly understood the situation: Shen Feng was the son of Shen Qing and Su Meixiang, which made him Su Junlin’s grandson and Su Junshu’s great-nephew. As for Ye Yan, his father was a battalion commander or higher, and his grandfather was a military region commander-in-chief. Feng Qingxue wasn’t sure which region and commander-in-chief he was, but Ye Zhengjun, who had been promoted this May, seemed to fit the description. She didn’t recognize anyone beyond that.
