Going to school was more important to her. Feng Qingxue still wore her loose cotton-and-linen clothes—white top, gray pants, and black leather shoes—that were neither brand new nor old. But she dressed her daughter beautifully.

An almost-new navy uniform with a blue-and-white striped top made Fubao’s features look like a painting and her skin resemble snow.

"Lu Tianhui is such a pretty student!" Principal Mo praised repeatedly after looking at the transfer documents and Fubao’s past academic records provided by Feng Qingxue. He immediately began arranging for her enrollment, placing her in Grade One, Class Two.

As soon as Fubao stepped into the classroom, she attracted the attention of all the students and teachers.

Principal Mo greeted the homeroom teacher, Teacher Zhao, and then turned to the class, smiling, "This is Lu Tianhui, a new student at our school. Everything here is unfamiliar to her, so you should help each other out and build a bond of love and care."

Applause instantly filled the room.

A clean and beautiful child naturally evokes affection from everyone—adults and children alike—no matter where they are.

"Lu Tianhui, please introduce yourself," Teacher Zhao continued.

Fubao wasn’t shy at all. She took a bow and confidently said, "Hello everyone, my name is Lu Tianhui. ’Lu’ as in ’land, sea, and air,’ ’Tian’ as in ’blue sky,’ and ’Hui’ as in ’wisdom and intelligence.’ My name carries the blessings of my elders. I transferred here from the Capital, and if I do anything wrong, please let me know and help me correct it so we can all improve together."

Principal Mo didn’t mention who her parents were, and she didn’t bring it up either.

Children are the most innocent, pure-hearted beings. The students in the class, all between eight and ten years old, clapped enthusiastically, louder than before. A radiant smile instantly lit up Fubao’s face.

Teacher Zhao sized up her height and seated her in the middle of the class. This thrilled the boys and girls sitting around her.

Seeing her daughter quickly blend with her classmates without cautiously tiptoeing in a new environment, Feng Qingxue felt reassured and said to Teacher Zhao, "I’ll leave Lu Tianhui in your care. If she gets along well with her classmates, then there won’t be any issues. But if there’s a conflict and the fault lies with her, please notify me, and I’ll educate her properly."

"Of course," Teacher Zhao replied. She liked understanding and cooperative parents the best.
