Chapter 753: Victory Day

Yarin's POV:

Ms. Maggie requested that Kris return to the classroom and wait for his grandfather to pick

him up.

"And you, Mr. Teal." She announced his punishment for Eden, "Serious fighting on campus is a severe violation of school rules, but considering you are a first-time offender and were also a victim of bullying, I'll let you off this time. You will need to perform twenty hours of voluntary labor for the school after school hours this semester."

Kris left in anger due to this 'unfair' punishment, slamming the door of the principal's office loudly.

Outside the door, his angry shouts and the panicked greetings of his group of followers could be heard, along with more mocking laughter at Kris's current state.

I was certain someone like him wouldn't take this lying down, so I told Ms. Maggie, "I hope everything goes smoothly, Ma'am. Sivir Academy has always been highly regarded by the royal family. I don't think any undignified news will come out of here."

Ms. Maggie glanced at me and said helplessly, "You shouldn't have gotten involved, Your Highness."

"Stopping campus violence is everyone's responsibility, including mine." I shrugged, saying casually.

After a long silence, Eden finally said, "Thank you, Ma'am, and both Your Highnesses. If it weren't for your help, I might have had to transfer schools. Kris wouldn't have let me off."

"You don't need to thank me, child." Ms. Maggie remained serious, but her gaze was gentle, "As the headmistress, it's my responsibility to educate the students. I'm just fulfilling my duty."

"I promise you and everyone who has suffered from campus violence that such issues will never occur again. I might not have control over the culture in other schools, but in the middle school section of Sivir Academy, as long as I remain the headmistress, I won't allow any behavior of bullying the weak by the strong."

After leaving the principal's office, Eden returned the pair of cufflinks to me.

He seemed a bit flustered, as one of the pale pink stones on the cufflink had fallen off. He apologized, and I reassured him that it was just an ordinary stone, not worth much money. "See, I told you, right?" I put my arm around his shoulder and said excitedly, "This pair of cufflinks has the blessing of a goddess. It will make your dreams come true."

Eden asked uncertainly, "So... Kris's embarrassment on the playground, was it the goddess's punishment for him?"

"Of course, the school is a sacred place. Students should learn, play, and make friends here, not treat their peers as punching bags. The goddess wouldn't approve of someone like Kris. It's the punishment he deserves."

Heller chimed in, "Absolutely, that's called getting what you deserve."

We hadn't walked far when Autumn walked over somewhat hesitantly. I immediately understood and grabbed Heller to slip away.

Watching their figures conversing in the distance, Heller rubbed his chin and said, "Something doesn't seem right..."

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Eden and Autumn."

"What's going on between them?"

Heller gave me a look that said, "Are you blind?" and said, "Their relationship is quite peculiar! Look, Autumn stopped Kris for Eden, and Eden accepted Kris's challenge for Autumn. What does that mean? It means they're attracted to each other!"

I wasn't sure. "Really? But whether someone likes another person or not, anyone with a sense of responsibility would step into that situation. It's better not to spread baseless gossip."

Heller immediately looked disappointed, treating me as if I were an unresponsive piece of wood, muttering and dragging me away.

I looked at the cufflinks in my hand; all the 'pink stones' were gone.

Of course, those weren't stones; they were me - a part of me.

How could this ordinary pair of cufflinks have a goddess's blessing? It was me, splitting myself into two small pieces and embedding them in the cufflinks, taking advantage of the fight between Eden and Kris to attach myself to Kris. I deliberately seized the opportunity when both teachers and students were present, breaking Kris's waistband, and embarrassing him in front of the whole school.

Heller marveled at my plan, "You're quite the cunning villain, Yarin."

"If you want to deal with a villain, you have to become a worse villain than they are," I said. In any case, that afternoon, hardly any students were in the mood for class. Everyone was focused on whether Kris would really be expelled. This attention peaked after someone suddenly shouted, "Kris's grandfather is here" on the playground. In an instant, the classroom was empty as everyone crowded to the windows to watch the spectacle, leaving the teachers struggling to maintain discipline at the front.

Mr. Cyril walked into the classroom with a grim expression. The students rushed outside to watch, and countless people saluted the white-bearded old man along the way. The students thought they were hiding in the stairwell, but the bulging veins on Mr. Cyril's forehead showed that he had noticed everything.

Finally, when Mr. Cyril led the dejected Kris out of the principal's office, the entire school erupted into cheers.

"Long live Ms. Maggie!"

People cheered and whistled as if celebrating a holiday.
