Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 266: TRICKING HER

Chapter 266: TRICKING HER

Mattie slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings wondering where she was.

But was met with an unfamiliar sight - a dirty, smelly room that seemed to be closing in on her.

Her mind was foggy, and she couldn’t quite remember how she had ended up there. She looked down at herself and gasped, realizing that she was completely naked.

Just then, she heard a loud banging on the door, followed by Tonia’s voice, yelling. "Get the heck out of that room now Mattie! Or I am sending men to help me!"

Mattie’s heart skipped a beat as she scrambled out of bed, where she saw an unfamiliar man snoring beside her.

"No. This can’t be, I can’t just sleep around with people," she mumbled still in a state of shock until Tonia’s voice called out again.

"You want me to break this door right now!"

Maggie gulped down nervously with her eyes scanning the room frantically for her clothes.

She spotted them scattered on the floor and quickly grabbed them, dressing in a rush.

As she rushed out of the room, she was met with Tonia’s angry face. Her mother’s eyes were laced with fury, and Mattie could see the disappointment etched on her face.

Without saying a word, Tonia slapped Mattie across the face, the sting of the slap leaving Mattie reeling.

Mattie glanced at her mother worriedly, confused about what had transpired the previous night.

"Mum.." She tried to speak, but Tonia didn’t give her a chance.

Instead, she pulled Mattie out of the room, dragging her down the hallway and out into the bright sunlight.

Only when they were outside did Mattie start to recall the events of the previous night. She had come down to the cartel, and...and...she couldn’t quite remember what had happened after that.

"What is going on?" she whispered to no one in particular, she tried to piece together the fragments of her memory, but it was all a blur.

As they drove away from the cartel, Mattie’s mind was racing. She had a nagging feeling that something was off, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

She glanced at her mother, who was driving in silence, her face still etched with anger.

Finally, they arrived at an unfamiliar building. Mattie looked at her mother in confusion, wondering why they were there. Tonia finally spoke up, her voice cold and detached.

"I live here now," she said. "Since Zach is trying to finalize the divorce, I didn’t want to go back to my father’s house for now."

Mattie nodded, still feeling dazed and confused. She got out of the car and followed her mother into the building.

The apartment was modest, but it was clear that Tonia wasn’t used to this kind of house.

As soon as they stepped inside, Tonia turned to Mattie, her face twisted in anger.

"What were you thinking, Mattie?" she demanded, her voice rising. "You are lucky I got there when I did. Who knows what could have happened to you?"

Mattie shook her head, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes. "I don’t know, Mum," She whispered. "I don’t remember what happened, I only woke up to find myself there this morning."

Mattie sat on the couch, still trying to grasp what had transpired, her eyes fixed on Tonia, who was pacing back and forth across the room now.

"How could you be so stupid, Mattie?" Tonia demanded, her voice rising. "You jumped into bed with a man you don’t even know!"

Mattie shook her head, she knew she had to lie to Tonia, to protect herself from her wrath. "I didn’t, Mum," she said, trying to sound convincing. "I swear, nothing happened. I just woke up beside him."

Tonia stopped pacing and turned to face Mattie, her eyes narrowing. "If I find out you had sex with that man, you will regret it," she warned.

Mattie then looked up at her mum, "How did you know I was in there?" Mattie asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Tonia’s expression turned cold. "Landon called me," she answered.

Mattie’s eyes widened in shock. What had Landon told her mum? "What did he say?" Mattie asked, feeling a sense of trepidation.

Tonia’s eyes seemed to bore into Mattie’s soul. "He said you were looking for revenge," Tonia said. "That you wanted Julian back and Astrid dead."

Mattie sighed out in relief delighted that Tonia didn’t know the truth.

"That’s right," Mattie said, trying to sound confident.

Tonia nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I want Astrid dead too," she said. "But from now on, Mattie, you will do what I say. You will do what it takes to get what we want."

"What?" Mattie wondered what her mum was planning to do. But before she could ask any questions, Tonia went to open the door, and the Rays family walked in.

Mattie felt terror as she took in the sight of the Rays family. What were they doing here? She looked at Tonia, who was smiling at the Rays and felt a sense of unease.

The Rays took their seats, their faces somber. "So, Tonia," Stephan’s mother said, "Who would have thought you’d end up living like this?"

Mattie got irritated at the woman’s words, she never knew she could be this crazy all these while she had been with Steihan just like a friend until she became his wife.

"You shouldn’t talk about my mom like that," Mattie warned, but Tonia quickly grabbed Mattie’s hand, shaking her head. "It’s okay, Mattie," Tonia said. "Let it go."

Mattie took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "So, why are you here?" Mattie asked, trying to sound calm.

The Ray family exchanged a look, and then Stephan’s father spoke up.

"Mattie, we need you to sign this contract," he said, holding out a file.

Mattie took the file, feeling a sense of trepidation. "What’s it say?" she asked.

Tonia took the file from Mattie and scanned it. "It says that you won’t press charges against Stephan for what happened," Tonia said. "And that you will keep shut about the whole thing."

Mattie was excited about this, "Does this mean I would have nothing to do with them anymore?" Tonia nodded her head with a small smile.

"Then give it to me I will sign it," Tonia quickly gave her the file and pen with a big smile.

As soon as Mattie signed the contract, Tonia and Stephan’s mother exchanged a look. Then Mattie gave Tonia back the files.

"You just signed a contract saying you will be married to Stephan for life," Stephan’s mother said, a smirk playing on her lips.

Mattie’s eyes widened in shock. "What?" she demanded. "No, that’s not what I signed."

Tonia’s expression turned cold. "You should have read the fine print, Mattie," Tonia said. "You’re going to have to marry Stephan now."

Mattie felt a wave of horror wash over her, "No, I won’t do it," she muttered almost in tears. "Yo... you tricked me" Mattie let out snatching the palates from her mum.

She went through the file looking for the cause and she said, "Mattie Adams and Stephan will forever be married despite Stephan’s critical condition."

"What?" she mumbled, shaking her head, "Stephan isn’t even in his taught state anymore?" Mattie asked in shock and then Stephan’s mum stood from the chair.

"You caused him pain so you should bear it with him after all he is in love with you." Mattie shook her head in disbelief.

"No, I can’t be his wife, I can’t get married to him... I don’t love him." she cried out and Steohan’s mum snatched the file from her.

"Well too bad you just signed this, the moment you breach it you face a great consequence."
