Astrid lounged on the plush couch, her slender fingers wrapped around a glass of orange juice as she watched the disturbing video of Stephan beating Mattie.

A satisfied smile spread across her face, and she couldn’t help but laugh at the brutal scene unfolding before her eyes.

The sound of Stephan’s fists pounding against Mattie’s fragile body was like music to her ears.

Just as she was about to take another sip of her juice, a message popped up on her phone.

She glanced at the screen, her eyes scanning the words, "It has been released to the press." A sly grin spread across her face as she typed out a response.

"You leave and never come back, your settlement has been sent to your account." she sent it.

Astrid was about to block the number when Julian suddenly snatched the phone from her hand.

She looked up, startled, as Julian’s eyes widened in shock. He stared at the video still playing on her phone, his face pale.

This video Astrid is watching has a longer version and it was different from the one which had been released online without audio.

This one had audio, and the sound of Stephan’s brutal beating and Mattie’s screams filled the room.

Julian’s eyes scanned the messages on Astrid’s phone, his face growing increasingly pale.

Astrid’s smile faltered for a moment as she watched Julian’s reaction. She seemed to be enjoying his shock.

Julian’s hands trembled as he leaned in closer, his eyes locked on the phone screen.

"What is this?" Julian demanded, his voice shaking with rage. "What have you done, Astrid?"

Astrid’s smile returned, and she shrugged her shoulders, a careless gesture. "What does it look like I am doing?" she asked, having a teasing smile.

Julian’s eyes narrowed, his face inches from Astrid’s. "You are the one who’s been orchestrating this whole thing, aren’t you?" he accused. "You are the reason Mattie and Stephan are in the hospital right now."

Astrid’s eyes sparkled with amusement as she stared at Julian. She seemed to be enjoying the game of cat and mouse they were playing.

"Wow, I never knew that until you mentioned it now," she replied.

Julian’s face twisted in anger, and he pulled Astrid up from the couch.

"You are becoming more and more scheming, Astrid," he hissed. "This time, you have gone too far."

Astrid’s smile faltered for a moment, and she seemed to be taken aback by Julian’s anger. But she quickly regained her composure, a sly smile spreading across her face.

"Yes," She admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "If you are not interested in me, then you can divorce me."

Julian’s eyes widened in horror as he stared at Astrid. He seemed to be shocked by her callousness. "You’re suggesting divorce?" he asked, his voice laced with annoyance.

Astrid shrugged her shoulders, a careless gesture. "Why not? It’s a simple solution to our problems." she stood from her chair brushing past Julain.

But he pulled Astrid closer, his face inches from hers, Astrid tilted her head to the side, her eyes following the traces in his eyes.

"Who would have thought someone like me could have a great influence on you, Mr Logan," she tilted her nose, brushing past his nose.

"You are having a great influence on me, Astrid," he hissed. "Yes, I am crazily in love with you, but if you do something that’s out of line, I won’t be able to help you."

Astrid’s smile returned, and she pushed Julian away, a hint of anger traces on her eyes.

"Well, I am just beginning with Mattie," she spat. "I will make sure she runs crazy."

Julian’s eyes constricted and Astrid scoffed, her eyes rolling in disdain. "I don’t need your help, Julian," she said.

"Rowan will help me, my grandfather will. I don’t need a silly man who can’t even find the footage of my mom’s room."

Julian without another word, scooped

Astrid from the ground, "Hey! What are you doing!" Astrid struggled against Julian’s grip, her eyes flashing with anger.

"Let me go!" she yelled, but Julian didn’t listen. He stormed towards the room, Astrid struggling against him, but he didn’t listen to her.

Julian strode into the room, as he gently tossed her onto the bed. She tried to stand up, but he leaned in, his face inches from hers, his warm breath caressing her skin.

"What did I warn you about mentioning Rowan’s name?" he asked, his voice low as his breath fanned her face.

Astrid rolled her eyes, a playful glint in her eyes. "If mentioning Rowan’s name annoys you, then you shouldn’t support Mattie in front of me," she teased.

Julian’s expression softened, and he pulled Astrid’s head up, his eyes locking onto hers.

"That’s not what I meant," he whispered. "I’m worried that you’re getting in over your head, Astrid. You’re becoming more and more scheming, and I don’t want to see you get hurt."

Astrid arched her back as she kissed Julian’s lip, her eyes sparkling with love. "I am not going anywhere," she whispered. "But if you’re not man enough to handle me, then who knows who might take me?"

She kissed Julian’s neck, and he felt his resolve weakening. Astrid’s lips were like a gentle breeze soothing.

"I planned on telling you about this anyway," Astrid whispered in his ears"After all, you have the power to cover things up for me."

Julian snickered wondering what she was up to. "What do you want me to do?" he asked.

Astrid leaned back now staring into his eyes. "I want that video to never be traced back to me," she said. "And I want you to cover up for the person who made the video of them."

Julian’s eyes widened, "That’s a big task," he said, his voice hesitant.

Astrid’s smile returned, and she leaned in, her lips brushing against Julian’s ear. "Not big enough for you," she whispered. "After all, you’re still trying to curry favor with me."

Julian’s eyes twinkled with lust, and he leaned in, his lips kissing Astrid’s cleavage. Astrid’s smile returned, and she whispered, "You want my body? Then it’s all yours."
