Chapter 233: LET’s TALK

Chapter 233: LET’s TALK

Maren watched as Miles sat down on the bed, his eyes fixed on hers. He gestured for her to come sit beside him, but Maren counted her steps, her mind racing with thoughts.

Knowing he had discovered the truth for a while now, she wondered how he would react.

She stopped in front of him, her voice barely above a whisper. "If you are going to say anything, that will break my heart now. You shouldn’t talk until after my show. If you want to break up, I understand. The few moments I have spent with you are enough for me."

Miles’s expression changed, and he broke into a painful laughter. "You think that’s all I feel for you?" he asked, his voice laced with anger.

"No... but.." He pulled her forward, pinning her to the bed as she grabbed her hands above her head, pinning them with one hand.

His eyes glistened, and gazed deeply into hers. "Is that how little you think of my feelings for you?"

Maren tried to avoid his gaze, but Miles grabbed her chin, his fingers digging into her skin. "Don’t dare break your gaze when I am talking to you," he warned.

She sighed, her voice trembling. "You never loved me. You only felt pity because of the baby. I lost... I lied to you because I loved you so much, and I understand now that you’ve found out I was never pregnant. You can leave me, and I..."

Miles’s lips crashed onto hers, cutting off her words. He forced his tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss, not giving her the chance to breathe. His teeth nipped at her lips, and Maren’s eyes widened, she wanted him, but not this way.

She pushed him away, her hands on his chest. "Miles, stop! Let’s talk instead," she exclaimed.

But Miles wouldn’t let up. He pulled her back, his lips devouring hers. His anger and frustration poured into the kiss, and Maren felt overwhelmed.

"You think I am just going to leave you?" Miles growled, his lips leaving hers for a moment. "You think I am that easily fooled?"

He bit her lips again, and Maren pushed him away harder this time. "Miles, stop! You’re hurting me!" she cried out.

Miles released his grip on her chin. For a moment, they locked eyes, their chests heaving.

"Does this cover how much you hurt my heart?" he asked Maren, but her lips avoided his gaze.

Miles’ eyes were filled with admiration. He shouldn’t get weak at her silly behavior, but he couldn’t help it; he was in love, and there was no way he couldn’t change that fact.

"I was stupid for not realizing you loved me," he said, his voice low and husky. "Yes, you’re cunning, but that’s part of why I love you. If you think you can deceive me, and I won’t find out, you’re joking. I have been close to you for years, and I understand every one of your tricks." He rose from her back to his sitting position as he stared at the dustbin where the tired papers lay.

"You got new tricks every day, but never expected you would make evidence disappear," The whole room was so silent that he needed to check if she was asleep, but nope, she lay there like she was also lost in her thoughts.

"You said you wanted us to talk but refused to say anything," he said, now getting annoyed at her silence.

Maren rose from the bed, and he glanced at her only to see her crawling toward him, her eyes locked on his.

"What..." his words trailed off as he watched her sit on his thigh, her hands wrapping around his neck.

"Do you still want me, despite knowing the truth?" she asked, giving him a sly look he couldn’t take his mind off.

Miles’s eyes never left hers. "I only proposed to make you mine after I rethought my decision. I was planning to outmaneuver you, to make you mine no matter what." he answered truthfully, "You sure are much smarter than I thought."

He laughed at this, "Mattie is my sister, and I have been around you for years, what do you think!"

Maren’s lips curled into a smirk as she pulled him closer. Their faces were inches apart, and she whispered, "You shouldn’t act that way anymore. Do you know how many kilos I have lost because of the fear of losing you to someone else?"

Miles snickered, his eyes twinkling with pleasure. "There is no girl that would dare try to fill in your position, don’t you think?"

Maren’s smirk deepened as she leaned in, her lips brushing against his neck.

"Good," she whispered. "Because I wouldn’t think twice before taking care of that girl."

Miles’s eyes narrowed, recalling the times when a girl would talk to him only to have something happen to her the next day. He knew Maren was the cause, but he wouldn’t mind since he felt relaxed about being lost in the thorn of women.

"Thanks for helping kill the stress of women then," Miles appreciated.

Maren began moving on his leg, rocking his body gently. Miles grasped her waist, stopping her. "You need rest," he said, his voice firm. "You’re exhausted, and the show is tomorrow."

But Maren didn’t listen. Instead, she whispered, "I am in the mood. I will relax after."

Miles shut his eyes, feeling her hands brush against his body, her lips kissing his neck. She began moving faster, her body grinding against his.

Miles’s head fell back as he let out a low grunt. "Damn, woman!" Maren fingers drugged into his back as she placed small kisses around his neck.

"I want everyone to know you are mine," she mumbled, not about to take it anymore. Miles leaned forward, pulling her head from his neck, and captured her lips, his tongue tangling with hers.

Miles’s hands traced the curves of her tiny waist as they moved up her body, Maren moved hastened. Maren’s hands slid under his shirt, her fingers brushing against his skin, telling him to give her a chance to pull off his shirt.

Without breaking their kiss, Miles reached down and unbuttoned his shirt, pulling it off in a hurry.

Maren’s hands left his body for a moment, and she smirked as her eyes roamed over his sculpted torso.

Her hands traced the contours of his chest, her fingers dancing across his skin. "If you’re accepting of my lies tonight..." she whispered, her breath hot against his skin.

"Then make sure only my eyes see this." Her finger traced a path down his chest, and Miles’s eyes darkened with desire.

Miles smirked, his hands returning to Maren’s body. His fingers traced the edges of her hoodie, which swallowed her little body, and he pulled it off, revealing her bare skin underneath.

"Then yours is mine," he grumbled, pressing her bare chats to his face, sniffing in her scent, and Maren shut her eyes at this.

She was finally making love with the one her heart chose, not drunk or spiked, but he was taking her into his arms tonight, his eyes wide open.

She noticed how his rod rose, shoving itself into her, and then Maren’s hands covered Miles, guiding him as he removed her shorts.

She pushed him back to bed while he just lay in surrender, he watched her lean over to him, her boobs dropping on him as she gently unbuckled his trouser.

Miles’s eyes burned with desire, and Maren’s skin glowed with a soft, golden light, she was not shy around him; she was ready to unleash that grieving woman around him.

Maren sat back on his now naked self; she pulled him back to sit as her legs straddled Miles’s hips, her body poised above his.

She gazed down at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I want to be in control tonight," she whispered.

Miles’s eyes held astonishment, and he nodded, his hands grasping her hips. "You are in control," he whispered, "Every single moment I breathe, you own it," he mumbled, and the whole room was filled with their moans.
