Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 232: HER REAL FATHER

Chapter 232: HER REAL FATHER

Julian’s voice was calm and collected as he instructed Ryan, "Tie Josh to the chair."

Ryan and the other men quickly obeyed, spreading a drip cloth on the ground and a chair on top of it.

They carefully lifted Josh’s unconscious body and positioned him in the chair, securing him with ropes.

Astrid watched with a mixture of interest and shock, her eyes darting between Julian and her father. She hadn’t expected Julian to handle things this way, she had a feeling he would take judgment into his own hands but not this brutal way, but weirdly she was enjoying it.

Julian stood up, his hands in his pockets, and smiled at Astrid. "Thought you knew this would be my next action," he said.

"Julian, what are you planning to do?"

He chuckled. "You think this will get me in trouble with the authorities?"

Astrid hesitated before speaking. "Won’t this get you in trouble with the police?"

Julian’s smile grew wider. "Who would dare take me to the station?"

Astrid couldn’t respond, accepting the truth of Julian’s words. Logan’s words are the law. Who would dare take action against them?

Julian nodded to Ryan, who immediately signaled to the other men. They entered the room carrying a large container of water.

Astrid’s eyes widened in horror as she realized what they were about to do. She rushed toward Julian, standing behind him as if to shield herself from her father’s fate.

Josh, still disoriented, jumped up in pain as the boiling water was poured over him. He writhed in pain and looked around, confused, and his gaze landed on Astrid.

"Welcome back, Josh. How was your nap?" Julian let out unfazed leaving Astrid mouth ajar.

"What’s going on? Why am I tied to this chair?" Josh asked, still lost, trying to recall how he had left the hospital bed.

Julian’s expression turned thoughtful. "You don’t remember being in the hospital the last time?"

Josh’s eyes narrowed. "What does that have to do with anything? Why the heck am I in here"

Julian’s smile returned. "Whose house do you think this is, Josh?"

Josh shook his head, confusion etched on his face. "I don’t know whose house this is, and I don’t care." he stammered. "Take me back to the hospital."

Ryan’s foot connected with Josh’s head, sending him crashing to the floor along with the chair. Josh groaned in pain and Astrid finally moved forward looking down at him with disgust, she thought she would feel pain watching him suffer but she didn’t get any.

"Think carefully, Josh. Whose house is this?" Julian asked again, but Josh shook his head, still grunting in pain.

Ryan helped Josh’s chair to stand well and Julain moved toward him ready to strike him but Josh yelled in plea.

"Allow me to look around please!"

Josh’s eyes darted around the room, fear written across his face. He stuttered, pointing a shaky finger at the house. "T-this design... it’s the same as..."

Before he could finish, Ryan’s foot silenced him again. Astrid stepped forward.

"Stop!" she commanded, her voice firm. "Who does this house belong to?" she asked Josh again, getting more curious, if Josh knew about this house it meant it was related to her.

Josh’s eyes locked onto Astrid’s, and he whispered, "It’s... it’s the same design as the one I made for the Logans. It belongs to... late Elizabeth, your mum."

Astrid’s eyes widened as memories flooded her mind. She stumbled backward, her hand flying to her head as if to stop it from spinning.

There was the picture of our-year-old, running to her mother as she peeked through the windows of this very house.

Her mother had taken her on a special day, buying her a new dress and spending quality time with her. They had played together in the mansion’s gardens, laughing and carefree.

But the memory was bittersweet. Astrid remembered the phone calls from Josh, threatening to take her mother to court and gain custody of her. She recalled the night Josh had brutally beaten her for going to her mother.

Astrid’s eyes locked onto Josh, anger, and hatred burning within her. She took a step forward, her fists clenched.

"What have I ever done to you?" she cried out. "You are a monster. I was never your child, yet you claimed ownership of me. You hurt me, over and over..."

She took a step forward, her hand flying through the air to slap him across the face. The sound of the slap echoed through the room, followed by Josh’s pained cry.

"You’re a monster! You were never my father! You hurt me, over and over, and yet you claimed to love me!"

She slapped him again, the force of the blow sending Josh’s head reeling.

Astrid’s hands were a blur as she rained blows down on Josh, punching him in the face, she recoiled in pain at the painful impact her hands had made with his face.

Julian was about to touch her but she moved closer to Josh again kicking him in the stomach.

Josh cried out in agony, begging for mercy, that painful memories she never wanted to remember consumed her immediately.

She was consumed by her anger, her pain, and her desire for revenge, recalling that brutal night he would beat her mercilessly until her body was weak and couldn’t take it anymore.

Julian rushed forward grabbing her so she didn’t hit the ground, "You don’t deserve to live!" Astrid cried out.

Seeing Astrid this way made Ulian furious. He wanted to be the one to punish Josh but his wife asked for a chance, so she would let go of her frustration on him.

Astrid’s mind flashed back to the happy memories she had made with her mother in this very house. She remembered the way her mother had smiled at her, the way she had laughed and played with her. It was just a day but that night was the beginning of her suffering.

But those happy memories were tainted by the pain and suffering that Josh had inflicted upon her.

As Josh lay there, bleeding and broken, Julain helped Astrid stand again, "I know it’s hurt but you can’t break down in front of him." Julian whispered in her ears.

"It hurt.."

"You don’t cry in front of your enemies, don’t give them the satisfaction that they successfully break you." those words, just like that of her mother, Astrid thought.

Astrid wiped her tears standing tall, her chest heaving with exhaustion. She looked down at Josh.

"You should have stayed out of my life," Astrid spat. "You should have left me and my mother alone." Why did you decide to hold on to me despite my having any relationship with you?"

Josh looked up at Astrid, his eyes filled with fear. "Astrid, please," he begged. "Forgive me."

Astrid’s expression didn’t change. "That isn’t the answer to my question!" she yelled at him as he looked down.

"Even though I thought your mum had been played by me, it was a lie... she signed all her property in your name, and the only way to get it was having you with me." A butter laugh escaped Astrid’s lips.

"You don’t deserve my forgiveness," Astrid proclaimed, "You deserve to suffer."

Astrid took in a deep breath as she tried her best for her tears to stay intact and not trickle down.

"Who is my real father?" she demanded, after some silence.

Josh shook his head, wincing in pain. "I can’t say it," he answered and Julian’s eyes narrowed, already mad at the man before him for putting him through pain he angrily stepped on Josh’s foot, applying pressure.

"Answer her," Julian growled.

Josh’s face contorted in agony, but he remained silent. "Who is my real father?" Astrid shouted this time, her voice echoing through the room.

Julian increased the pressure on Josh’s foot, and Josh’s eyes widened in torment. Finally, he cracked.

"Landon!" Josh yelled, his voice hoarse with pain. "Your father’s name is Landon... and he’s dead!"
