Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare -
Chapter 219: HIS PUNISHMENT
Chapter 219: HIS PUNISHMENT
"Dad.." Astrid called again, having a sly smirk on her face as she tried wiping off her tears.
Desmond moved towards Astrid and he gently grabbed her hands, his eyes locked onto hers, and said, "How could you make your wife cry after several times she has forgiven you?"
"It’s not.." his words were left hanging as Desmond looked back at his daughter-in-law.
"Come with me, Astrid. I will teach him the lesson he’s refused to learn."
A small smile appeared on Astrid’s face as she nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Desmond.
Desmond’s eyes narrowed as he turned to Julian, his voice firm and authoritative. "You’re going to apologize to Astrid, in front of the entire company. You’re going to admit to your mistakes, and you’re going to promise to do better in the future and all that will be happening tomorrow morning."
Julian’s face turned red with rage, but Desmond just raised an eyebrow, his expression unyielding. "You have no choice, Julian. You’re going to do this, or you’re going to face the consequences."
Astrid wiped away her remaining tears, it sounded fun to her and she wanted to see him apologizing in front of his employees.
Desmond turned to Astrid, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "I am sorry that you had to go through this, my ungrateful son."
Astrid smiled, as she stuck her tongue out at Julian, "Thank you, dad.".
Desmond smiled back, "Anytime, Astrid. Anytime."
"Astrid... you haven’t been to our house before, would you like to come along?" Astrid thought about this and thought of it as a good idea.
"Yes, Dad I will... I will go with you," she announced elatedly.
Julian tried to approach Astrid, but she just rolled her eyes, not responding to him.
She threw her car keys at him, saying, "Take my car home, Julian. I am going with Dad."
Julian’s face fell, but Desmond just chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I think it’s time she comes to visit the family,"
Julian nodded, looking defeated, and Desmond turned to Astrid, offering her his arm. "Shall we, my dear?"
Astrid nodded, taking Desmond’s arm, and together they walked towards the car. As they drove away, Julian could only watch, feeling defeated and at the same time delighted.
As they drove, Astrid couldn’t help but think about the bruises Julain had said Mattie complained about earlier.
She wondered if Stephan was behind it, and a sly smile spread across her face as she texted Stephan.
"Hey, Stephan. I see you are having trouble keeping your woman in line. Maybe you should try being more dominant. Or maybe you’re just not enough for her."
Astrid smiled to herself as she sent the text, "Keep her away from my man." she added feeling a sense of satisfaction.
She knew that Stephan would be furious, but she didn’t care. She was finally standing up for herself, and she wouldn’t step back.
As they arrived at the Logan’s mansion Astrid was struck by its grandeur. The house was even more elegant and expensive-looking than Julian’s mansion.
She felt a little awestruck as she stepped out of the car and was greeted by the guards.
As she walked into the house, she couldn’t help but feel a little lost. The mansion was huge, and she had never been there before. But before she could get too turned around, she heard Becky’s voice calling out to her.
"Astrid, darling! I am so happy to see you!" Becky exclaimed, rushing over to hug Astrid tightly. "I just got the news from him that you were coming, and I couldn’t wait to see you. Welcome to our home, dear!"
Astrid smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and welcome "Home," she thought, it was the first time that statement had been mentioned to her.
She hugged Becky back, and that feeling of her hugging her mum washed through her.
"Thank you, mum. It’s so nice to be here."
As they hugged, Astrid couldn’t help but notice the opulent decorations of the mansion.
The walls were adorned with expensive artwork, and the furniture was luxurious.
But Becky just laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Come on, let me show you around." Becky let out recalling her husband had told her how talented she is in her architectural skills.
Astrid is just like her best friend and she is going to do everything in her power to make Astrid become the best.
"Mother and daughter can have their time together, I will finish some paperwork."
As Becky took Astrid on a tour of the mansion, Astrid couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder. She had never seen anything like it before.
The mansion was a testament to the wealth and power of the Logan family, and Astrid felt a little intimidated by it all. Sometimes she doesn’t recall how powerful her husband is.
Becky noticed her reaction, just a smile, her eyes warm and welcoming. "Don’t worry, Astrid. You’re part of the family now, your mum is way better than this."
Astrid smiled a bit and at the thought of her mum, she recalled how Becky and her mum had planned behind her back, she couldn’t help but wonder if Becky knew she was Mattie’s twin.
"Let’s go inside...it’s almost evening time." Becky led Astrid into the mansion, and a series of guards bowed in unison, welcoming her with the title
"Welcome Young Miss." Astrid’s eyes widened in shock as she glanced at Becky, who simply smiled and said,
"You’re a Logan dear. You deserve all the respect."
Astrid couldn’t argue with that, and she followed Becky into the living room, her eyes scanning the opulent decorations.
As they walked into the dining room, Astrid’s jaw dropped at the sight of the table.
It was laden with an enormous amount of food, and Astrid couldn’t help but gasp in surprise. Becky chuckled and said, "I am sorry, dear. I didn’t know your favorite dishes, and I didn’t get much notice. So, we will just have to make do with what we have."
Astrid was speechless, wondering what would have happened if Becky had known her favorite dishes. The amount of food on the table was staggering, and Astrid couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed.
Just as she was about to sit down, Julian appeared, greeting the family and making his way towards Astrid.
"Good evening mum.." he let out, and now glanced at Astrid who was still mad at him, and she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
Julian, however, acted oblivious to her anger and helped her pull out her chair.
As Astrid sat down, Becky turned to Julian and pulled his ear, "Mu... Mum.." he grumbled.
"You ungrateful jerk! Your dad told me what happened!" She scolded him while still pulling his ears.
Julian yelped in pain, but Becky didn’t let go, hitting his back and saying, "How could you do that to her after what you did to her in the past?"
The maids in the room couldn’t help but giggle at the sight of Julian being scolded by his mother.
Even Astrid couldn’t help but laugh at this until Becky dropped the bombshell.
"You’re not eating dinner with us, Julian. You will kneel and watch us eat. If you’re not satisfied, you can leave."
The room fell silent, with everyone staring at Becky in shock. He hardly listens to his parents.
But Julian, surprisingly, didn’t argue. Instead, he humbly fell to his knees, looking like a chastened schoolboy.
Desmond watched the scene unfold, amazed at how drastically his son was changing because of Astrid.
He couldn’t believe that Julian, the arrogant and entitled CEO, was kneeling on the floor, looking so humble.
Becky, meanwhile, was smirking, clearly pleased with herself. She pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of Julian, saying, "This will be my punishment for you, Julian. You’re going online, dear son."
With that, she posted the picture on social media, and the room erupted into laughter.
