Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare -
Chapter 184: END HER
Chapter 184: END HER
Mattie looked up at her mother, her eyes welled up with tears. "First love?" Mattie asked in disbelief at the shocking revelation.
"You don’t have to always make everything about Elizabeth." Zach let out and Mattie felt like her heart had been stabbed several times.
"I don’t have to make it feel like everything is about her, yet you still recalled her name." Zach scoffed at this with his hands in his pocket.
"I have everything I can as a father, if you want to blame me for not moving on with my first love then let it be so!" with that he stormed out of their presence not looking back for once.
"Mom, is that why Dad has been so cruel to me?" Mattie asked, her voice shaking.
Tomia knelt beside Mattie and put her arms around her. "No... your dad loves you so much," she tried persuading her daughter.
Mattie’s eyes narrowed. "You mean, Dad, just hit me because of Astrid? Because she’s his first love’s daughter?" her voice went higher this time and Tonia knew she could no longer lie about this situation.
Tomia nodded, her eyes filled with sadness. "I am afraid so, sweetie. Your father has always had a soft spot for Elizabeth, and now that he’s found out that Astrid is her daughter, he’s letting his feelings cloud his judgment."
Mattie felt a wave of anger wash over her. She couldn’t believe her father was treating her like this because of his feelings for Astrid’s late mother.
As she looked up at her mother, pain, and hatred were evident in her eyes. "
Mattie stared at her mother, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. "So, is it still because of Astrid that my father hates me now?"
Tonia tried to reach out and touch her daughter’s arm, but Mattie slapped her hand away.
"How is it my fault that Astrid took my man?" she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. "How is it my fault that I still love the man I’ve wanted since I was a child?"
Mattie’s eyes welled up with tears as she continued to rant. "How is it my fault that my father still has feelings for his first love?"
Her heart hurt like hell and was too much for Mattie, and she fell to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. Tonia tried to grab her and help her up.
"Mattie, you are pregnant, you can’t stress yourself out like this," Tonia cooed, trying to calm her daughter down. "You have to think about the baby’s safety."
But Mattie was so lost, all that was ringing in her head was how to get back to Julian.
"Don’t cry, my baby girl.." Tonia pulled her into a tight embrace as she otter her back.
She cried in her mother’s arms, yelling, "Julian belongs to me! I own him! I will have him!"
Tonia could only hold her daughter tightly, trying to calm her down.
"I promise, Mattie, I will deal with Astrid. All you have to do is try to keep this baby safe. If you want Julian, then I will make sure he is yours."
Mattie disengaged from the hug and stared at her mother, worried. "What do you mean, Mom?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Tonia’s expression turned steely. "Don’t worry, Mattie. I will take care of Astrid. I will make sure she doesn’t come between you and Julian again."
Mattie’s eyes welled up with tears, "Really?" Tonia nodded her head and she hugged her mother tightly again.
"Thank you, Mom. You’re the best mom in the whole world."
*******
An hour later Tonia helped Mattie get settled into her room, instructing the maids to get her food to eat.
Once Mattie was comfortable, Tonia excused herself and made her way to her room.
She closed the door behind her and took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the room to make sure she was alone.
Zach was nowhere to be found, and Tonia saw this as an advantage. She pulled out her phone from her bag and dialed a contact, her fingers moving swiftly over the keypad.
The phone rang several times before a deep voice picked up on the fifth ring.
"Hello?" the voice said with a hint of taunting. "Guess who decided to finally call me?"
Tonia’s expression turned cold. "I don’t have time for your silly words. I am calling you today to take care of Astrid, smoothly and quietly."
There was a pause on the other end of the line before the voice responded. "I am afraid that’s not possible, Tonia. Astrid has the protection of Julian and Gilbert. There’s no way I can harm her without consequences."
Tonia’s eyes narrowed, her voice taking on a menacing tone. "Josh, don’t play with me. You know I am not a woman to be trifled with." Tonia’s voice rose in anger.
"You promised me to end Elizabeth’s daughter the moment she was born, now I need to watch her live this long, and watch her drag my daughter man with her,"
Josh laughed on the other end of the line, "You think I also want that bitch to still be alive if I am given the opportunity?" Tonia was too furious to reply.
"You don’t know how strong your sister is, do you? She was quick to figure out our little plan, and placed court orders to always watch her even though she wasn’t there with her." Josh explained and Tonia’s expression turned vicious, her voice low and menacing.
"I don’t care whatever you have to do now, end her."
Josh took in a deep breath, "Like I told you the first time, it wouldn’t be easy."
"You don’t want our current contract to be affected, do you? You don’t want to lose the benefits of working with me."
Josh laughed again, "Oh, I still have a contract with the Logans, and I am not afraid of you. But I do have to admit, I am a bit concerned about your daughter’s share of her grandfather’s company. She’s not going to give up her rights easily, is she?"
Tonia’s eyes flashed with anger, but she kept her cool. "You don’t want to regret crossing me, Josh. I have a lot of dirt on you, and I am not afraid to use it."
Josh’s voice turned serious, his tone warning. "And don’t forget Tonia, I have a lot of dirt on you too. Let’s not play games we can’t win."
Tonia clenched her fist, biting her lip to keep from lashing out. She took a deep breath and composed herself before speaking. "What do I need to do to get you to take care of Astrid?"
There was a pause on the other end of the line before Josh responded. "To be honest, Tonia, I’ve been doing dirty jobs for a long time, and I’m getting tired of it. I don’t want to mess with the Logans, and aside from having Julian’s support, Astrid also has the Logans’ backing. It’s not a risk I’m willing to take."
Tonia’s eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. She knew she had to give Josh something to make him willing to take the risk. And then it hit her the one thing that Josh had been searching for all these years.
"The blueprint of Elizabeth," Tonia said, her voice low and mysterious. "The one you have been searching for all these years. It’s with Astrid."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and for a moment, Tonia wondered if she had lost Josh’s attention. But then he spoke up, his voice filled with excitement.
"What are you talking about, Tonia? How do you know this?"
Tonia smiled to herself, knowing she had Josh right where she wanted him.
"I know the location of the house Elizabeth built, the one with the special room she created," she stated again, she knew she was about to get him now as she could feel she had piqued his interest.
"Why do you think I need it?" he asked as he sat well on his seat.
"For the Logans, I know you are already stuck in the middle and you wouldn’t want Astrid to take your shine," she added, Josh gulped down at this.
"You can steal the ideas from that room, and with the blueprint, you will have everything you need to make the Logans a strong partner."
Josh’s voice was filled with greed, and Tonia knew she had him hooked. "Give me the location, Tonia. I will take care of Astrid for you."
But Tonia was not willing to give up the location just yet. "I will give you the location after you have taken care of Astrid. And I want to have one last conversation with her before you do."
Josh paused for a moment before responding. "Consider it done, Tonia. Just don’t mess with me or you will regret it."
Tonia smiled to herself, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "Got it," she let out and hung up the phone.
