Chapter 174: I HATE YOU

Chapter 174: I HATE YOU

Astrid smiled, feeling relieved as she was looking fresh, she wouldn’t lie she had a weird feeling at first but the bathroom was so safe for her and Rowan made sure to stop anyone from getting into the bathroom until she was done.

As she walked out he turned to her, he was already in a casual outfit looking neat, but what got her was the list of people sitting waiting for her to come out.

The moment she stepped out they all glanced at Rowan, "You can go in," at once they all brushed past Astrid making her almost lose her balance but Rowan quickly caught her from falling.

They both stared at themselves for a few minutes and she shook her head, she stood right and cleared her throat.

"What new thing should we go for without getting our outfit dirty?" she asked. She had planned to go home now but didn’t want to make Rowan feel bad. He brought her here to make her smile, so she shouldn’t ruin his mood.

Rowan thought for a moment. "How about we go for a walk along the beach? Astrid’s face lit up. "That sounds like fun," she said.

Rowan couldn’t help but notice how beautiful Astrid looked in her current sundress.

He felt a pang of attraction, but he pushed it aside, not wanting to ruin the moment.

As the sun began to set, Rowan and Astrid walked along the beach. Rowan couldn’t help but smile, then he pulled out his phone.

"Check your phone, I sent you something," he told her and she immediately pulled out her phone from her small purse.

She checked to see the beautiful sand castle she had built, followed by the video of when she was building it.

She glanced at him and flickered her eyes, she was so focused she didn’t know when he made a video and pictures.

"It’s lovely, I am keeping this how she walked forward, still lost in the pictures that she didn’t know he had stopped walking beside her.

"Hey! Why aren’t you coming?" she finally noticed after walking a few meters.

He took a long stride toward her, and then that question that had been bothering him for a while came up.

"How are you feeling about your life, right now?" he asked, his eyes boring directly toward hers.

Astrid sighed, her eyes gazing out at the vast expanse of the ocean. She kicked at the sand, feeling the grains shifting beneath her feet.

The breeze carried the sweet scent of saltwater and the sound of seagulls crying overhead.

"I am trying to hold on," she answered truthfully, her voice barely above a whisper.

Rowan nodded his head in acceptance, his eyes filled with understanding.

He knew how much pain Astrid had endured, and he couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to her.

He had been drawn to her from the moment he laid eyes on her a year ago, and he had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to make his move.

He had always wanted a chance to be a part of her life, and now he had it. He was determined to make the most of it, to show Astrid that he was the one who truly cared for her.

As they walked, Rowan’s mind was racing with thoughts of how he could win Astrid’s heart.

He knew it wouldn’t be easy, especially with Julian still in the picture. But Rowan was undeterred.

He was ready to do whatever it took to make Astrid his this time.

He wasn’t going to let her go. He would fight for her, with every fiber of his being.

He was going to make sure that she knew how much he cared for her, and he was going to do everything in his power to make her fall in love with him.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the ocean, Rowan turned to Astrid and smiled.

"I’m here for you, Astrid," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "I’m not going anywhere."

Astrid stared at him weirdly, yes she agreed that he was nice in his ways but she didn’t feel a thing for him. She only respects him as a friend.

"Rowan?" She called his name like she was trying to get him back to his senses but he grabbed her hands, his eyes locked in hers.

"You should forget about Julian and allow someone else into your heart," he muttered as he pulled her closer to him, her eyes almost bulging out as gulped down nervously.

"I promise to give you everything you..." his words were left hanging when someone pulled him from the back.

"What the fu..." Julian punched Rowan in the face, sending him stumbling backward and intercepting his word

Astrid’s eyes widened in shock as she rushed toward the scene, "Julian stop!" she called out.

But Julian was beyond reason, his fists flying as he attacked Rowan, punching him repeatedly.

"Please, you are going to hurt him!" Astrid’s voice grew more desperate as she tried to intervene, but Julian didn’t listen.

It wasn’t until she angrily pulled him backward, her hands on his shoulders, that he finally stopped.

But even then, Julian’s anger didn’t dissipate. He turned to Astrid, his eyes flashing with hurt and betrayal.

"You are going to protect him?" he roared. Astrid stood tall, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"Yes, I will," she said, her voice firm. "I am tired of your constant appearances in my life. I am tired of your manipulation and control. Just leave me alone, Julian."

Julian’s face contorted in pain, and he clenched his fists as if struggling to contain his emotions. "How much do you hate me?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Astrid’s eyes rolled upward, and she let out a sigh. "Enough to want you to disappear from my life," she said, her voice cold.

Julian’s face fell, and he looked away, his eyes welling up with tears. Astrid didn’t even bother to look at him, instead turning to help Rowan up from the ground.

As they walked toward Rowan’s car, Astrid’s arm around Rowan’s waist to support him.

Julian’s eyes followed them, his face a mask of sadness and regret. But Astrid didn’t even glance back, her heart hardened against him.
