Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 173: THE BEACH

Chapter 173: THE BEACH

Rowan finally pulled up his car in front of an unfamiliar environment.

Astrid could tell it was a parking lot and couldn’t help but wonder why they were both there when he should take her home.

"Rowan, what’s going on?" she asked, eyeing the packed car. "Why are you here?"

Rowan turned to her, a warm smile spreading across his face.

"I am here because of you, Astrid," he said, his voice low and gentle. "You haven’t seen yourself lately, and I wanted to do something to make you happy."

Astrid’s expression softened, and she looked away. Though she is grateful for him making her happy she can’t help but wonder how she would feel if Julian had told her that.

She didn’t argue with him and just alighted from the car, Rowan felt bad she wasn’t giving him the chance to help her out of the car but felt it was a little process.

She looked around and Rowan moved to her side grabbing her hands, "Let go!" he announced before she could stop him.

"I thought you could use a day at the beach," he said, and Astrid’s eyes widened at this.

Astrid smiled, feeling a spark of excitement that had disappeared a few hours ago.

"Thank you, Rowan," she appreciated as they made their way onto the beach.

As they arrived at the beach, Astrid’s eyes widened in excitement. She loved the sound of the waves and the smell of the salty air even though she couldn’t swim. Rowan grinned, pleased with himself, seeing the relief washing through her face and the displayed excitement.

"Let’s set up our spot," he said, and just then two guards came up with a colorful blanket and an umbrella along with other things they could use.

"I can do it," Astrid announced, not wanting anything to ruin the little fun for her. She does watch this on television, there is no way she is allowing someone else to take the joy from her.

Rowan then gestured for the men to leave immediately as he began to watch Astrid help set up.

As soon as they were both done, they were settled in, with a cooler full of snacks and drinks nearby.

"What do you want to do first?" Rowan asked, looking at Astrid with a mischievous glint in his eye.

Astrid thought for a moment. "I want to build sandcastles," she said excitedly, he was stunned by this but had no choice but to accept.

Rowan grinned. "Then let’s build sandcastles," he said.

Astrid walked along the beach, her eyes scanning the shoreline for the perfect spot to build a sand castle. Rowan walked beside her, his eyes fixed on her with amusement.

"Okay, let’s get started," Astrid said, stopping at a spot with compact, moist sand. "First, we need to dig a hole for the foundation," she instructed.

Rowan nodded, and together they began digging a hole, their shovels sinking into the sand. As they dug, Astrid explained the process to Rowan, who listened intently.

"Next, we need to add water to the sand to make it stick together," Astrid said, pouring water from a nearby bucket into the hole.

Rowan watched as Astrid mixed the sand and water, creating a thick, moldable paste. She was so focussed and a silly idea was used on Rowan’s head.

As she worked, Rowan snuck up behind her and threw a handful of sand at her back.

Astrid shrieked and turned to face Rowan. "Hey, no fair!" she said, throwing a handful of sand still in hand back at him.

Rowan ducked, laughing, "Hey!" she yelled again pouring another handful of sand at him. He ducked again and this time smashed her face with sand.

The. two of them continued to playfully throw sand at each other as they worked.

Once the mixture was ready, Astrid began to shape it into a castle, using a small bucket to create towers and a moat. Rowan watched, fascinated, as the castle began to take shape.

"This is beautiful," Rowan said and she glanced up at him, "I am an architect, what do you expect?" Rowan nodded and then pretended to fall, knocking over the castle in the process.

Astrid gasped in shock, Rowan, you clumsy oaf! I am almost done!" she said, hitting him on the arm.

Rowan grinned, "You are an architect, you shouldn’t complain." he teased and she rolled her eyes and packed the sand pouring it all on him, this time she caught him.

She smashed his face with the sand making sure to stain his face, "Astrid!"

"That is what you get for ruining my sand castle!" she yelled back, Astrid couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy and contentment.

She began building it again and finally, the castle was complete, and Astrid stepped back to admire it. Rowan stood beside her, his arm around her shoulders.

"It’s beautiful," Rowan said, smiling at Astrid.

Astrid smiled back, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment, "Hope this becomes a home for me one day," she mumbled.

"We are both dirty, want to take a swim with me?" Rowan asked, seeing how dirty they both looked.

Astrid’s face fell, and she shook her head. "I don’t know how to swim, I would rather go clean up," she said, looking embarrassed.

Rowan’s face softened, and he put a reassuring hand on her shoulder."It’s okay, we can do something else instead, but for now, let’s go clean up, I have ordered one of my guards to bring in another dress for you, " Astrid didn’t feel comfortable having her bath here but she knew she needed to clean up.

"Alright, show me the way to the bathroom," She approved and he nodded, taking her there.

What they both didn’t know was someone not too far from them taking pictures as they both held hands.

"This is getting more interesting, let’s see how this love web will end," the figure said with a smile on his face.
