Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 175: LETTING HER GO

Chapter 175: LETTING HER GO

Astrid stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her black gown. She looked stunning, but the emptiness in her eyes betrayed her true feelings.

The house was quiet, too quiet, and Astrid had grown accustomed to the loneliness.

She wasn’t complaining because she got used to its loneliness already when she went to Valtania.

Taking one last glance at her reflection, Astrid walked out of the house, already getting frustrated with the thought that she would be driving down to her granddad’s mansion, shutting the door behind her.

As she stepped into the evening air, she was startled by a figure standing behind her. Julian’s piercing gaze met hers, and Astrid’s heart skipped a beat.

Julian had always been a constant presence in her life, checking up on her regularly.

However, Astrid had been refusing him entry into her home, no matter how much he wanted them to talk.

Yet, here he was, standing before her in his black suit, his eyes sunken with dark circles. Astrid noticed this and felt curious as to why he had this dark circle. He isn’t the type to display his exhaustion this way but she chose to ignore it.

"Le..." Before Astrid could utter a word, Julian cut her off, his voice firm and commanding.

"I need to take you to your granddad’s mansion, Astrid. If you refuse, I will have no choice but to shove you into the car."

Astrid’s eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions. "What’s going on with you, Julian? Aren’t you supposed to go and pick up Mattie?"

Julian’s expression remained stoic, and he didn’t respond. Instead, he turned and walked toward his car, opening the door and gesturing for her to get inside the car.

Astrid rolled her eyes, her anger simmering just below the surface. Instead, she headed toward her car, but Julian was too quick.

"Fuck it!" She heard him growling and he stormed toward her, lifting her off the ground with ease.

Astrid’s legs flailed wildly as she tried to break free, her hands pounding against Julian’s back. "Let me go, Julian! This is ridiculous! I don’t want to go with you!"

Julain shoved her into the car, slamming the door shut behind her. Astrid’s eyes blazed with fury as she yelled at Julian through the closed window. "You can’t control me, Julian!" she screamed, opening the door as he moved away from the door

Julian’s face turned red with anger, his eyes flashing with a warning as he went back shoving her back into the car and now buckling her seat belt no matter how hard she tried to get away from his hold.

"Don’t mess with me, Astrid! Do as I say, or face the consequences!" He yelled at her this time as he slammed the door shut again leaving Astrid speechless and shocked at the way he had just screamed at her.

Julian got into the car ignited the engine and drove out of the premises his grip on the steering wheel tightened as he drove with a speed that made Astrid’s heart race.

The whole car ride was silent and Astrid could feel Julian’s anger emanating from him.

She didn’t say a word, still hurt from the way he had yelled at her but sadly wanted him to talk first but he wasn’t

The drive seemed to take an eternity, but finally, Julian’s car pulled up in front of the Gilbert mansion.

The moment his car pulled up Astrid reached for the door handle, but Julian was too quick.

He grabbed her arm, pulling her back and locking the door, she glanced back at him to see how his eyes bored into that of hers.

"Why the heck are you stopping me from leaving?" She asked, already irritated, at how he had been expressing his dominance over her when he was the cause of the broken relationship.

But he only stared at her, she was about to slap his hands off when he pulled her closer, locking his lip with her, no matter how she resisted his grip on her way strong.

She bit his lip with force to the extent that it bled. He finally let go of her lip as she sheared at him,

"What do you want me to do to forgive me?" Julian asked, his voice tight with frustration as he wiped off the blood on his lip.

Astrid slapped his hand off hers and didn’t respond, folding her arms across her chest and staring straight ahead.

Julian took a deep breath, obviously irritated by her silence. "Do you want me to stop pursuing you?" he asked, his voice laced with pain.

Astrid glanced at him, her eyes cold as a sharp pain tore through her heart.

"You have Mattie," she said. "You should go to her. You have always loved her, why can’t you just let me be?"

Julian’s face twisted in anguish. "Is this because you want to be with Rowan?" he asked, his voice accusing.

Astrid got irked by this, even though she didn’t feel anything for Rowan, she knew that Julian’s accusation was meant to hurt. "Yes!" She lied, yelling at Julian. "I want Rowan, so let me be."

Julian’s face fell, and he looked at her with a mixture of sadness and resignation.

"Would you be happy if I didn’t chase you anymore?" he asked, his voice shaking.

Astrid nodded, even though she was sad he was taking this step. Julian took a deep breath, his eyes closing as if in pain.

"Fine," he said. "I won’t pursue you anymore. You can be with the one you love." He announced making Astrid speechless, the door opened and he gestured for her to leave.

Astrid stepped out of the car, feeling a sense of uncertainty wash over her. Julian’s words had seemed serious, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that he was finally letting her go.

She took a deep breath, expecting him to call out to her, but he didn’t. With a sense of trepidation, she shut her eyes and walked towards the mansion, her heart breaking into pieces.

It was what she wanted. Why is she mad now that he is finally letting her go?
