Astrid found herself standing in a dark, cold room. "Mum.." she called over and over again but there was no response, she turned around and began to panic.

"Mum! Where are you? You promise not to leave me!" she cried out and just then a door opened and light emitted into the room.

"Mum!" She called again and ran out of the darkroom through the light and found herself in another room.

She looked around in shock until she saw Elizabeth standing in front of her.

A look of fear etched on her face. "Mum.." she called happily but then her gaze locked with Josh, standing opposite them, his eyes blazing with anger.

"You are a monster!" Elizabeth spat at Josh, her voice cold. "You will never get away with this!"

Josh sneered, his face twisted in a cruel smile. "We will see about that," he snarled, raising his hand to strike Elizabeth.

Astrid tried to move, to stop her father from hurting her mother. But she was frozen in place, unable to move or speak anymore.

"Dad! Don’t hurt mum you monster!" she yelled and this gain the attention of Josh.

"You... here again to save your mother, but you can’t," tears trickled down Astrid’s eyes as she tried to move Josh gestured to the guards, who had been standing in the shadows.

"Seize her!" he ordered and they stepped forward, holding Astrid down. She struggled against them, but they were too strong.

"Don’t hurt my daughter!" her mum screamed but a smack landed on her face making her hit the ground.

Josh’s eyes met with Astrid’s, "Watch!" he instructed and went to her mum hitting her again.

"Please stop hurting her," she could only cry and watched in horror, as her father brutally beat her mother to death.

Elizabeth’s screams echoed through the room, growing fainter and fainter until they finally stopped.

They let go of her, and she ran toward her mum but there was nothing everywhere turning dark again.

"Mum!" she called out

Astrid’s eyes snapped open, and she sat up with a start, her heart racing. She was drenched in sweat, her sheets soaked through.

"Mum!" she called out of repulse but when she looked up the one holding her hands was Julian.

"Astrid, I am so sorry," he whispered, his voice shaking with emotion. "I wasn’t there to protect you. I’m so sorry."

Julian, who had been sitting beside her, grabbed her, holding her close trying to comfort her. I

A sardonic chuckle escaped her lips and he knew this wasn’t going to be the easy way.

She pushed Julian away, her eyes blazing with anger. "You weren’t there?" she screamed, her voice echoing through the room.

"You killed my mother? I pleaded for you to stop!"

Julian, confused, tried to calm her down, but Astrid was beyond consolation.

"Astrid... it’s just a nightmare," he tried to convince her but she shook her head.

"Get out! I don’t want to see you again!" he grabbed her hands in fear of seeing her this way.

"Leave!" she screamed and bit down his wrist but he wasn’t letting go.

"Look at me! It’s Julian, please recognize me!" he pleaded, but it felt like it was becoming worse.

Dr Lee rushed in, a look of concern on his face. "Mrs Logan, please," he said, trying to calm her down. "You need to rest."

But Astrid wouldn’t listen. She was too far gone, lost in a sea of grief and anger.

"He killed her! He is a monster!" aside from the doctor the rest of the lads could be seen by the door having a sad look.

While Mattie smirks seeing her reaction he had always wanted her to grieve in pain after taking her man from her.

Dr. Lee, having no choice again, had to sedate her, to calm her down and help her rest.

As the sedative took hold, Astrid’s body relaxed, her eyes closing as she drifted off to sleep.

Julian’s hand trembled gently as the struggle, finally reduced, "Are you supposed to make her sleep again?"

"We shouldn’t do anything that would bring in her episodes again," Julian raised his eyebrows and sighed.

"I am saying it best you are not close to her if it would cause her to have another set of episodes," Dr Lee advised.

Julain isn’t happy with this but has no choice but to do what the doctor feels is right.

He looked down at the now sleepy Astrid, and even in sleep, Astrid’s face was twisted in a grimace of pain, with her body tense.

The healing process would be long and difficult, but for now, Astrid just slept, lost in a world of pain and sorrow.

Dr Lee walked out and he sighed sadly, "Are you fine now?" Julian heard his mum’s voice from behind as he turned to his mum as she shut the door.

"Mum..."

A slap landed on his face, shutting him up, "You are supposed to be the first to be here, with her when she gets the news."

"Mum!" another smack landed on his face, "I never raised you to be a monster or a silly weak man!" she yelled again.

Julian grabbed his face, still in shock at how his mother was hurting them.

"Mum! I won’t do that..." Another kick from behind made him fall to the ground and it was his father. He looked back in shock not knowing when his father had walked inside.

Becky’s eyes locked onto Astrid’s sleeping form. "Kneel outside this room... till she wakes and accepts your forgiveness," Desmond announced, Julian clenched his fist his lip trembling as he struggled to hold his furry.

"Dad!" Julian growled, jumping to his feet. "I never did anything wrong, stop trying to make it my fault." He yelled at his parents as he angrily walked out of the room.

Becky stared at her son in shock, her face pale. "Di... did he just walk out on me because of that sly cheating whore!" she exclaimed, her voice shrill.

Desmond glanced at his wife, confusion etched on his face. "Cheating?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Becky’s gaze flicked to Astrid before she sighed. "Yes," she admitted.

"I will do everything for him to be with her, and not Mattie... I don’t care whatever feeling he thinks he has."

Desmond sighed, placing a calming hand on his wife’s arm. "We promise not to butt into his love life, sweetheart, he is currently confused and frustrated we shouldn’t make things hard.."

Becky’s face twisted in anger. "But his love life is trash! That silly girl has been cheating on him with Stephan. Why did you think I wouldn’t want her to end up with him?"

Desmond’s eyes widened in shock. "What?" he exclaimed.

Becky’s anger boiled over. "That was the freaking reason I and Miles messed up the wedding! You think after I found out I will just sit and allow a bitch destroy my son’s happiness?"

Desmond’s face fell. "You didn’t mess up the wedding, did you?" he asked, his voice low.

Becky glanced at Astrid before sighing. She shrugged her shoulders at her husband.

Maren, who had been eavesdropping, was left flabbergasted at the revelation.

She gently shut the door and walked away, contemplating what she had just heard.

"So the wedding wasn’t a mistake?" she thought in surprise.

"Hey, what are you thinking?"Miles asked behind and she glared at him, making him shift back not knowing what to say anymore.

She was about to yell at him knowing he was aware of all these when Tonia and Mattie appeared.

Tonia was pushing the wheelchair of her daughter toward them, "Maren! Miles! It’s nice to see you again."

"Nice? Again? What makes you think I feel that way?" Maren fired back and Miles grabbed her hands but she snatched it back glaring at him.

"We don’t need to bicker angrily now, all we care about now is about her," Tonia announced, trying to change the tense environment.

"Well I am done with all the papers and her death certificate will be done soon. We will plan for a funeral when Astrid is strong?"

"Really?" Becky asked, her voice laced with sarcasm.

"Becky?" Tonia called, her voice trembling with a hint of fear eating away at her.

"The last time I checked, Elizabeth has a father, so I expect you to bring him to this place to see their daughter for the last time."

Tonia’s eyes widened in shock. "What? My father thought she had left forever when she left that night. How do you think he would feel knowing his daughter is back and then dead?"

Mattie, on the other hand, was biting her fingernails at the thought of her grandfather finding out. She was pretty sure he would love Astrid and would even plan to give his inheritance to her.

"Well, I am here now, so take me to her!" a deep, commanding voice echoed through the room.

Tonia’s eyes widened in shock as she, along with the others, turned to face the owner of the voice.

"How?" She was at a loss for words.

"Well, you didn’t tell me quickly enough so I called him here myself," Becky announced.

"Father!" Tonia exclaimed, running toward him. But just as she was about to reach him, he swerved, avoiding her touch.

"Since you refused to tell me anything about my daughter, then I am here to see her," he declared, his eyes blazing.
