Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 133: HER OUTBURST

Chapter 133: HER OUTBURST

Astrid sat in the dimly lit hospital morgue, surrounded by the eerie silence of the room.

Her mother’s scarf, a soft, comforting reminder of her presence, was clenched tightly in her hands.

Tears streamed down Astrid’s face as she stared blankly at the scarf, her mind reeling from the loss.

Maren sat beside her, trying to offer what little comfort she could. She wrapped a gentle arm around Astrid’s shoulders, holding her close as Astrid sobbed uncontrollably.

Miles could only stand by their side speechless, he had been trying to reach out to his friend so he would come but his number was unreachable.

Just then, the door opened, and Desmond and Becky entered the room. Miles had told them the news and they rushed her immediately,

Becky’s face was etched with concern and heartbreak.

She had just reached out to her best friend and she was making preparations on how to send her out only to hear the terrible news.

Biting her lip and holding in her tears she tried to put on a brave face for Astrid’s sake.

"Astrid, sweetie, I am so sorry," Becky said, her voice trembling as she approached Astrid.

"We are here for you, and we will get through this together," she whispered, filled with comfort, Maren stood from the chair and allowed Becky to embrace her.

"Sh... she broke her promise, she left me all alone in this world." Astrid broke down in more tears as Becky held everything herself so as not to break into tears.

"No, she... Only needed rest, she has gone through so much pain." She tried to make him see the reason on the other side.

Even if she understands that she still can’t help to fill the void in her heart that her mum finally left.

Desmond’s eyes scanned the room, his expression stern. "Where’s Julian?" he asked his voice firm and directed his question to Miles.

Maren hesitated before answering. "He... uh... We all came in the middle of the night, so he must have not gotten the news about his wife." she let out even though she knew It wasn’t the right thing to do.

"What? Are you all kidding me right now?" his voice roared. "Mattie complained of stomach pain, and he didn’t know what to do."

Desmond’s face darkened. "I will call him now, that bastard!" he said, pulling out his phone.

As Desmond tried to reach Julian, Becky was still sitting down beside Astrid, wrapping her in a warm hug. "We’re here for you, Astrid."

Astrid’s sobs intensified as she clutched her mother’s scarf tightly. Becky held her close, whispering words of comfort as Astrid’s grief poured out.

"Mum... I miss you so much," she asserted with tears dripping from her eyes.

Just then, Tonia walked into the room, a fake look of concern on her face.

"Oh, Astrid, I am so sorry to hear about your mother," she said, her voice dripping with insincerity.

Astrid’s disengaged from the embrace, her eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing as she looked at Tonia.

She doesn’t trust Tonia at all when it comes to her mother, and the anger and hatred she feels toward Tonia threatens to consume her.

But for now, Astrid just held onto her mother’s scarf, the only tangible reminder of the woman she loved and lost. The tears continued to flow, a testament to the depth of her grief.

The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by Astrid’s sobs and the sound of Desmond’s angry muttering as he tried to reach Julian.

Astrid thoughts swirled around the little time she had with her mother, she expected her mother to die one day, but not this sudden death which had decided to take her from her almost immediately.

"Astrid," Tonia called this time.

"Since she is my sister, you don’t have to be worried about the funeral rite and I will handle it," Tonia announced.

Tonia had wanted her sister dead for a long time, but she was the happiest on earth.

Astrid on the other hand still hasn’t gotten used to the fact that Tnia is her mother’s sister.

It was just a few hours after her mum had just dropped the bomb of a weird connection with Tonia’s family and she lost her life.

Astrid could only nod her head in acceptance, no other choice on what to do.

Another fact that, or is that the one who she expected to be with her on this journey is not here with her.

He isn’t even trying to be there with her but trying to make Mattie feel better. The way he had rejected taking her to the hospital all because of Mattie still rings in her head.

It’s been hours since her mum died and he is still not here with her. She has no right to be angry at him, but for a weird reason, her selfish heart isn’t accepting that fact.

Astrid stood from her seat and almost lost her balance, but Becky was quick to help her stand still.

"Careful sweetie," Becky announced and then Tonia let out a small smile.

"It’s best if you have a good rest, I can..."

"Aren’t you supposed to be sad that you just lost your only sister you finally saw after years?" Astrid cut her off and she was left speechless.

"As.."

"You are supposed to be vul... vulnerable just like me," Astrid added as tears trickled down.

"That is my feeling and not yours," she answered, "That I am not breaking down now doesn’t mean I won’t in the future," she added, moving closer to Astrid.

"She is a sister who left me without a word for more than twenty years, I am doing everything in me to figure her out, and then she passes on." a sardonic chuckle escaped her lips.

"You have no right to tell me to be vulnerable for her," Astrid rolled her eyes painfully at this.

"You are the mother of your daughter after all," she announced as she tried to take a step further.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway, and she knew someone was approaching.

She didn’t have the strength to look up, to face whoever it was all she cared about was her mum, as she gazed at her through the glass where she lay in fear of going closer to her cold body

"Astrid," Josh called softly, his voice laced with sympathy.

Astrid glanced in his direction, anger bubbling in her As Josh drew closer, Astrid’s emotions boiled over.

She felt a surge of anger, of hurt, of betrayal. How dare he come here now?

The moment Josh greeted her, Astrid’s composure shattered. She let out a loud, anguished cry, her body shaking with rage.

"Why are you here?" Astrid yelled, her voice hoarse from screaming.

"You have no right to be here!"

"I am here for my ex-wife and for you, my daughter." Josh tried to explain but that was it.

But Astrid wouldn’t listen. She was beyond reason, beyond consolation.

"You monster!" Astrid screamed, her fists flying as she hit Josh. "Astrid!" Everyone present screamed in shock.

"You killed my mother! And now you are here to celebrate her death!" she screamed again.

"Hey! Sister, he was left in shock for a while hearing the news," Nadine tried to defend her father but a slap from Astrid threw her off balance.

The pain of Josh’s brutal bullying came flooding back, and Astrid’s anger turned to fury. She kicked and hit him.

"You monster! You made my life a living hell!" She kicked him and then pulled his hair.

"Hey!" they all yelled trying to stop her but Becky dragged Desmond back shaking her head.

Maren tried to intervene, to grab Astrid and hold her back. "Get away from me!" she yelled at her friend and pushed her away.

They all stood back in shock seeing how Astrid finally lost it, But Astrid was too strong, too angry. She pushed Maren away, her eyes blazing with fury.

"I wanted you to stay away from my mother! I told you nothing should happen to my mother!" she yelled as she pushed him to the ground.

"Hey! I also don’t know what happened!" he yelled back at her.

"Really!" she screamed, "Didn’t you do something to her when you came yesterday!" She wanted to run toward him but Miles grabbed her.

Despite her struggle he didn’t let go, "Let me go! I want to teach this monster a lesson for hurting my mother!" she cried out.

It wasn’t until Astrid had exhausted herself until she had cried and screamed and hit Miles severally until she could do no more, that she finally gave up.

Her knees went weak and Miles was finally able to grab her and hold her close.

As Astrid sobbed uncontrollably, Maren pulled her from Miles’ arm and held her tight, crying with her.

"He is a monster!" she yelled, "He killed my mum!" she cried out again pointing toward her father.

"You ungrateful bitch! He is here for you but you hurt him," she glanced in Leila’s direction now trying to get away from Maren’s grip.

"Get out! Leave! I didn’t snag to see you here!" her voice cracked at the way she screamed.

Tonia couldn’t help but be sac at the way she cried, she was supposed to be affected but her heart was giving her out.

The pain Astrid was going through was visible, not even Becky or Desmond could go closer to her.

"Astrid please.." Maren cried out big she could only struggle to get free so she could go after the family.

Just then Dr Lee leaked inside thinking it was the best for her he gave her a sedative making her lose consciousness.
