Chapter 92: Trouble Finally Over?
Chapter 92: Trouble Finally Over?
The arrival of the soldiers of the Darcero Kingdom finally stopped Elaina’s parents from doing anything. Despite their desire to attack Elaina, they cannot do anything now that they are being detained by the soldiers.
Even the priests and the groaning soldiers are also captured as well even though they are no longer capable of doing anything. The First Prince had his eyebrows furrowed seeing how cleanly cut the hand of the priest got. Even he would not be able to cleanly cut someone’s limbs with ease and yet Elaina is capable of doing so without much effort.
"Miss Elaina, why you didn’t dispose of them? Shouldn’t you be killing them in the process to ensure that they won’t do anything again?" Princess Tabatha asked while looking at the aftermath.
Elaina shook her head and sighed. "I may like to exact my revenge, but I am not a murderer. I would rather have them stop breaking the peace that I am working hard to attain.
"Then that means they will just come back again after this."
"Right now, I am being merciful as I don’t want to make things complicated, dragging the Kingdom of Darcero just because of this. If I kill the priest and the other soldiers, that would cause the church to go real hostile and start to campaign an attack here especially since they have control over the government back there. As for the soldiers, the same thing might happen and I don’t want the worst-case scenario to happen. All I wanted to do was farm away in peace and leave us alone."
"Ha, I doubt that, Miss Farmer. Now that you have done some damage to the priest, the church itself will be hostile to you, brand you as a heretic, and perhaps start hunting you down. You will not be able to do anything on that."
"If they are foolish enough to continue then I will not hesitate to just forget my policy and just fill my hands with blood. You won’t capture me for murder, right?" Elaina looked at the royalties.
"No worries. This matter is a justified attack. And besides, this is trespassing, we would either beat them black and blue if we were the ones who caught them anyway so don’t worry. Seeing how this matter escalated, I think it is fine for you to unleash extreme measures to keep the safety of your farm and your family," the First Prince guaranteed, allowing Elaina to sigh in relief.
"That’s good to know. Because I can feel that this will be not the last thing that they will do this stunt."
"But are you sure we can just capture and lock up your mother and father in the dungeons?"
"It’s fine. I doubt they will remain there for long, I can tell someone will already try to bail them out of there after this matter so I don’t care. But I prefer them to be deported back to where they came from and bar them forever from stepping into this kingdom ever again to ensure that they will not come back here again," Elaina suggested.
"Miss Elaina is right, brother. If they are just going to bail then they will do this stunt once again. Deporting them back to where they came from and blacklisting them from entering the kingdom would be a better choice," Princess Tabatha nodded at Elaina’s suggestion.
"Guess we will do that. We are sorry for intruding here, so please have the rest of your day a peaceful one, Miss Elaina."
After saying that, the soldiers and the two royalties left with the trespassers leaving with them. As for Elaina, she immediately checked on the Harvest Goddess who collapsed to the nearby tree. As she approached, the Feys were already tending to her.
"Is she okay?" Elaina asked, worried whether the priest had caused fatal damage to her.
The Harvest Goddess opened her eyes and gave her a thumbs up. "Don’t worry, I am currently fine. My body just hurt a lot but it wasn’t fatal for me so I will be fine. But I do need to rest for a bit and recover my lost powers after the attack. Geez, even the humans have gotten some nasty curses that can now hurt actual deities like that."
"Are you sure that you are fine or maybe you are just bluffing?"
"Hey, even though that was a strong attack, I managed to handle it. It hurt a lot but I can handle it. I won’t be dying with that. Instead, you should worry about the owner of the barrier instead of me. I took the brunt of the magic power but I can heal quickly. That girl does not. Take care of her instead, especially with how brutal those folks of yours are to the barrier."
"If that is the case, then rest well. I know you are a goddess but that doesn’t mean those priests are not strong to damage you. You should still be careful."
After ensuring that the Harvest Goddess is fine, Elaina rushes back to Julia and ensures that she is fine. As for the Harvest Goddess, she groaned in pain after fully knowing Elaina was nowhere near the area.
"Goddess! Why did you hide your condition that you got badly hurt earlier? If it wasn’t for your little power, you would have suffered irreversible damage to your body permanently," the Feys asked with concern over her well-being.
"Ha... it’s fine. I am a goddess. I can handle this pain just fine. Humans are more fragile than gods like me. If I barely managed to survive the attack of that human earlier, imagine what a human would felt after getting her barrier broken and having the damage be sent straight back at her, isn’t that going to be dangerous for her?"
She stood up and sighed as she grabbed her sides and she slowly walked back to the stream’s water.
"Thanks for helping me out little feys. I don’t have much power right now but I will pay you all back once I am fully healed alright?"
The Harvest Goddess looked at the run-down farmhouse before she silently returned to her abode, disappearing into the water. The Feys then started to clean up the mess that happened on the farm. At least, they can contribute to something even not by fighting the others.
...
...
...
"Julia!" Elaina opened the door and glanced at Princess Margaux still casting the healing magic at Julia.
"Miss Elaina! I heard a commotion outside, did something happen? Princess Margaux asked.
"Yeah, something did happen but everything is now resolved. How is Julia? Is she fine now?" Elaina touched Julia’s hand. It isn’t cold which is a good sign and she is breathing fine now.
"I managed to heal most of her injuries that I can see from the outside but I don’t know about the inside. She might be injured inside her body but I don’t have the expertise so all I can say is that she still needed some professional help to heal completely," Princess Margaux explained.
"Good to know. Then, can you please help me carry her? She is a bit heavy but I think we can at least help her be carried to the bed instead of just lying on the floor completely."
"We can just ask Zaza since he can help. You shouldn’t carry heavy things forcefully, Miss Elaina especially since you are pregnant. Zaza, can you help us?" Princess Margaux looked at Zaza who was previously sleeping, now awake, and approached the two.
Princess Margaux didn’t make any command and yet Zaza approached the unconscious Julia and carried her gently to the bed before he returned to his slumber once more.
"Thanks, Zaza, you are the best!"
Zaza gave a light growl before drifting back to sleep once more.
Elaina focused her attention on Julia. Her lips are pale after the incident and she still hasn’t woken up. She is a bit worried about her since what happened earlier might be much more severe than it currently looks like. And with her not waking up even with most of her wounds healed, she is worried that Julia might be in a very bad situation right now.
"Don’t worry, Miss Elaina. I will be calling the doctors instead and see their analysis about this matter. With Miss Julia convulsing earlier, she might be in a very bad situation."
"Then please do," Elaina nodded as she held the hands of Julia who was still unconscious.
Princess Margaux left while Elaina was hoping that Julia was fine. She is quite sure that the reason Julia is injured is because of the attack that was done on her barrier. It managed to withstand a lot but after it broke apart, all the damage that the barrier should receive became Julia’s damage instead.
"Julia, don’t worry. You shouldn’t worry too much about it. The perpetrators are now gone so all we have to do is observe it and let it go with the flow. So make sure that you are not hurt badly alright?"
