Chapter 196: Welcome Party

After Elaina’s successful delivery to the twins, Adelaide and Arthur, she remained in the little ward for 3 days as she was still too weak to go back home. During that time, Julia, Princess Margaux, and Curaj returned to the farm to tend to the unguarded farm while Elaina was still in the clinic.

Grandma decided to be Elaina’s watcher and helper whenever Elaina needed to use the bathroom, attend to some of her needs, or move around. It’s not so serious for Elaina but she feels it is necessary so she didn’t complain.

Dr. Fey also comes in a few hours to check up on her to ensure that there are no complications that would suddenly appear. As for the twins, they are currently inside the Incubation bubble magic that Maria made, allowing them to adapt quickly to the surroundings. It is necessary for the first few days like this and they are only allowed to go out from those bubbles when they start to cry, they pooped or peed on their diapers, or if they are hungry.

Elaina also managed to quickly adapt to having two kids who needed to drink milk from her. It was ticklish at first but soon enough, she got used to it.

Grandpa on the other hand starts to process the documentation of the twins to the Adventurer’s guild as the processes for the birth certificate and the registration of citizenship are all done there. With his influence, he should be able to make quick work on the documents to make them legal residents in the future.

Troy also started shopping for wares for the twins as well. Elaina had already bought a few clothes for the kids when she went shopping with Julia a few months after she knew the genders of her babies but Troy insisted on doing another shopping. Elaina couldn’t help but wonder how Troy was more obsessed with shopping than her.

Of course, three days passed by so quickly and by that time, Elaina had fully recovered, thanks to the constant support that her Grandma had for her and Dr. Fey’s constant monitoring.

While she is now discharged, the twins are also included as well and the incubator bubbles they are in are being carried outside.

"Congratulations again on your successful delivery, Elaina. Seeing these two babies arrive in this world healthy and strong, I must say that as their doctor, I couldn’t be more proud," Dr. Fey smiled even though she looked haggard, probably because she had almost no time to sleep with the constant monitoring she had to do with the twins.

"Thank you for everything, Dr. Fey. We will continue to avail of your services in the future as well," Elaina said.

"Haha, although I am happy to hear that, I also don’t want you guys to be harmed to be brought here for that reason. Please be safe always, alright?"

Elaina nodded and glanced at her babies. Maria stepped forward and snapped her fingers in front of each incubation bubble and both bubbles popped and disappeared.

"After three days of staying inside the Incubation bubble, they are now ready for all the dangers the world has to offer. If they ever got sick after this, please return to here for a follow-up checkup," Dr. Fey suggested.

"Alright, doc. By the way, what about the bill?" Elaina asked.

"Oh, don’t worry about it. Your grandparents have already paid for the bill. You don’t need to worry about it."

Hearing this, she looked at her grandma in shock.

"It’s just a cheap change, Elaina. Just accept that as a good gesture and use your money instead to support your kids. Having two kids at the same time will not be easy, you know."

"Thanks, Grandma."

After the discharge process was over, the family finally returned home, with the two new addition to the family. While on the way back to the farm, the God of Farming sent a message for Elaina to read.

"[Once you return to the farm, we will have to discuss something. It is about the Almanac. So don’t skip this matter as this is important.]"

Hearing that, Elaina is nervous and also a bit excited. It seems that the God of Farming is now about to lift the restriction that was imposed on the Almanac due to her pregnancy. But she didn’t know what the new additions to the almanac would be. It should be pretty good already as it is so what is more to improve?

They arrived safely at the farm without any hassle. Elaina was looking around the entire time they were still on the way back home for any potential danger for her babies. Knowing that they are twins, there would be some people who have the same viewpoint as those people who have some dark agenda and would try to harm them so she keeps her guard up. Even her Grandma noticed this but she didn’t reprimand Elaina because even she is also on guard while holding her granddaughter.

The farm is pretty lively and even Elaina was surprised since everyone on the farm is currently gathering outside the farm. There were even some tables with food outside and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

"What? What is going on?" Elaina frowned.

"Oh, Sis! You are finally here! And the stars of the show are also here!"

Despite Elaina’s confusion, Troy pat on her shoulder.

"Don’t be too stiff, Elaina. This is a welcome party for my niece and nephew. Grandpa said that this is a good way to welcome them to the family with good vibes. As for the little celebration, you can say that this is something that we wanted to do for a while as a baby shower celebration but because we almost had no time back then, we didn’t have any chances to do so. Now that they are here, there is no need for a baby shower to happen, but that doesn’t mean a welcome party is not a good replacement for that, so here we are! Now, let’s enjoy the food! Julia and Princess Margaux did the job and they actually did a good job at it."

As a result, it became a party that was not noisy but filled with good vibes and good food. Alongside everyone on the farm, the Harvest Goddess and the spirits, and even Shardu and Zaza joined in for the feast. Even Elaina couldn’t believe it suddenly happened.

Of course, the party ended fast as they also respected the rest time of the babies so after the celebration, Elaina put the two babies inside their cribs that Troy bought for them. They have individual cribs so that the other baby won’t be disturbed if the other cries. And despite their being a bit rowdy, it seems that the babies didn’t mind those things happening and they even slept through the whole thing afterward.

As Elaina was about to relax, the God of Farming sent a chat box to her.

"[Alright Elaina, it seems you are no longer busy now. Are you ready? I will now be unlocking the full potential of the Almanac.]"

"Is it already time? I mean, I still can’t do many heavy jobs just yet since I just recently got discharged."

"[As much as I wanted to delay it, it is no longer possible since the only little restriction I put out to seal the Almanac like that is due to your pregnancy. Now that you are no longer pregnant, that seal is no longer valid, so unsealing the seal will now begin. Get ready now, we will begin.]"

Elaina sighed and steeled herself. The new form of the Almanac will soon appear before Elaina and she is not sure if this will be a positive or a negative thing soon.
