Chapter 194: "I AM GOING TO GIVE BIRTH!"

The next few days are peaceful as usual for Elaina and the farm. Princess Margaux has also returned to her normal self and is usually seen hanging out with Curaj. It seems that the two have gotten a good friendship going while Elaina is not watching.

Princess Tabatha on the other hand continues to practice under Elaina’s tutelage. Elaina also finds it a bit fun as well since she can finally have something to do aside from resting and just being laid back. It’s also not a bad idea for her to do it as it makes a good review of her skills, allowing her to not get so rusty by the time she is able to do more complex movements again.

The farm is still doing great and the plants have started to show their fruits showing up and Elaina is looking forward to it. In the meantime, Julia and the Feys are doing the work of maintaining everything on the farm.

The Harvest Goddess remains lazy and still receives the offerings that Elaina gives to her every day but she sometimes does some babysitting to Mier. Although Mier’s mother remains to appear again, it seems that she is doing well in the Harvest Goddess’s realm.

As for the Pixie, she seemed to remain in focus. No one knows how long before she can finish her job but until then, Elaina and the Feys have no control over this one and can only wait until then. After all, rushing things will not do any good.

Grandpa and Grandma are still visiting from time to time. According to them, they are much busier than ever handling case after case especially due to the Merfolk incident. Apparently, it seems that Grandpa and Grandma are overseeing things that would prevent the Merfolk from inciting further attacks on the human land. It wasn’t a big wonder as to why they seemed to not seek revenge after their humiliation but it is also a good thing that they are on a leash instead of causing more trouble and with their targets living on the farm, Elaina will have more headaches if they keep coming back with no restraints.

On the other hand, there is Troy, who has been holed up in the newly created garage that he made. It was a makeshift one and it isn’t that formal compared to the regular ones. However, it is big enough to enclose the whole work privately without any prying eyes. He also invited a few of his colleagues as well to do the job and it seems that they are utilizing the teleport portal that her brother made to enter and exit the farm without stepping outside the little garage.

Now, on to the situation that Elaina is currently facing. Although the exact date where she will be giving birth has yet to be determined, she can tell it is going to happen soon. The movement of the two babies inside her belly is getting frequent day by day and her appetite is getting bigger as well.

Not only that, her first breast milk had already begun to flow on her chest recently, and sometimes, she could feel her clothes getting wet when the milk flowed out from time to time. Her Grandma’s advice suggests that she start to wear loose clothes to lessen the pressure on her breasts and also to avoid causing pain in the future. Her grandmother does not recommend her to wear a bra at the moment which is why she has been letting her chest loose now. It feels weird for Elaina but it does feel better compared to before. Her only problem is the constant milk flowing out. She has to keep changing her shirt, and Grandma has nothing to say aside from enduring it. She might not be used to it at the moment but according to her grandmother, she will get used to it sooner or later. It is just a matter of time.

Right now, Elaina is relaxing herself. As much as she wanted to move, she felt lethargic that day so she just rested on the patio and just stared at the farm with the Feys doing the work. She felt bad at them for doing the work for a few months straight and she vowed to herself that once she gets better after giving birth, she will work harder than before.

When she got bored watching the surroundings of her expanding farm, Elaina decided to check her almanac. Now that she is almost ready to give birth, what would be the Almanac’s true form will be? At the moment, it is just a tool for Elaina to use for farming and to get used to the new aspects of farming life but what will happen later?

The other pages that she still has not properly unlocked as she cannot do them are bugging the hell out of her. She wanted to do it as soon as possible but the constraint of being tied into her pregnancy just keeps her from doing exactly that and even the easiest which should be the cooking is also starting to be a challenge after her nose became sensitive to various smells in the kitchen and the spices became harder to use as she would start to feel nauseous when doing so.

As Elaina is contemplating the Almanac’s true form, her groin starts to feel painful and her back starts to cramp.

"O-ouch...what the...what is-Aaaagghhhh!" Elaina was bewildered at first but soon she felt the pain escalating and soon enough, she felt the severe pain that she had experienced so far.

Shardu and Zaza who were just sleeping nearby seem to have noticed the things happening to Elaina. Shardu starts to make some noises to get the attention of everyone.

"Aaaaaaahhhh! H-help!" Elaina doesn’t have a habit of asking for help whenever she is suffering but for the first time in her life, she is helpless and she has no choice but to ask for help this time around.

Soon, Curaj, Elaina, the Feys and Princess Margaux rushed to Elaina’s position.

"Sis? What is happening to you?" Julia is worried.

"I don’t know...I think I am about to give birth!"

Hearing this, Curaj who has a clear mind on what to do immediately carried Elaina carefully.

"Miss Julia, Princess! Call the attention of Sir Troy. I will be bringing Boss Elaina to Dr. Fey!"

"Princess, you go with Curaj, I will do it instead. Go, hurry!"

Elaina’s face cannot be painted due to the severe pain she was experiencing. While she is undergoing the labor, the gods are also worried to Elaina and are already talking nonstop, however, Elaina couldn’t see what they were saying as she can’t even focus on herself as the pain is enough to make her pass out, she is just holding out on her consciousness.

Due to the quick strides that Curaj did who was then followed by Princess Margaux, they arrived at the clinic where Dr. Fey and Maria are currently relaxing since there are no patients.

"AAAAAHHHHHH!"

Elaina’s scream caused Dr. Fey and Maria to look at the entrance and soon saw Curaj carrying Elaina in his arms.

"Dr. Fey! Please help! Boss is about to give birth!"

Hearing Curaj’s words, Dr. Fey immediately pulled her lab gown and ordered Maria to prepare the bed and the materials they needed for Elaina’s labor.

"Please stay outside for those who are unauthorized to enter the room. We will begin the session."

Curaj and Princess Margaux has no choice but to remain outside as they hear the screams of Elaina inside the room.

Soon enough, Troy arrived. Julia is nowhere behind him for some reason.

"Where is Elaina?" Troy asked Curaj.

"Dr. Fey and her assistant are already taking care of boss. We can’t go inside at the moment since we are not authorized. By the way, where is Miss Julia?" Curaj explained then asked about Julia who disappeared.

"She is currently calling our grandparents to inform about the situation. Since none of us know what someone giving birth does, both of them will be our only way to know about it."

And after a few seconds, the two arrived with Julia in tow. It seems they teleported since they appeared out of thin air.

"Where is my granddaughter?" Grandpa asked, worried.

"Shh, don’t make your voice loud. You will disturb the process. I will go inside and help on the process. I can help with the process as I am familiar with the situation. You guys should stay put," Grandma said before ordering everyone to be calm and stay put as she enters the operating room where Elaina is currently giving birth.

"Is everything going to be alright?" Julia is worried.

"Hehe, don’t worry. Your sister is strong. Just pray for her to be able to deliver the two babies safely. But with my wife helping out, she will be in good hands."

And so, they waited. And after a few minutes of how long they have waited, the first cry of the baby resounded inside the room, soon followed by another one.

Elaina has finally given birth.
