Chapter 183: Medicinal Herb Seedlings

Elaina’s suggestion made the stoic Goddess of Medicine twitch. For her, she has not worked for anyone or even collaborated with anyone, other than herself. If anything, she is more likely to have someone work for her. So Elaina’s suggestion made her raise her eyebrow.

"[Human, are you saying you want me, the Goddess of Medicine work with this lunkhead of a God?]"

Elaina grinned. "What? Are you so prideful enough that even just working together would cause you to break down? What a selfish sob you are. I am helping you out in here so that you can at least get your bottleneck out of the way."

The Goddess of Medicine was speechless. The human predicted her thoughts and she never expected her to even say that she was just a sob. She has already learned this slang from the other gods before and for someone who is just a human dares to call her as one is enough to cause her anger to slowly boil.

"[Hey, dare try anything to my blessed one and you will be tasting my wrath. Just so you know, I can fight quite well that you will wish you didn’t dare to cross my path. Try anything funny and I will make sure you would rather stay in your place instead of messing with us," the God of Farming declared.

"[Don’t forget us. We can just gang her up if she does something funny.]" The Goddess of Taming grinned.

"[I don’t advocate violence but if she is the one who will try to do it first, then I will not be holding back as well.]"

The Goddess of Medicine was shocked to see the other two were also willing to fight as well. If it was the God of Farming alone, then perhaps she has some chances, but the moment the Goddess of Taming joins in, the scale of balance is no longer favorable. Plus, with the addition of the God of Fishing who is known for his capabilities of catching a whale without any equipment and just with his fishing rod is something that even her will not treat lightly.

"[Okay, okay. Fine, you all win. Happy now?]" she shook her head and sighed. She then looked at the human currently talking with her before talking.

"[Alright, human. I will bite on this thing you are proposing. So what are you proposing to me is to work with this guy?]"

Elaina nodded. "[Yes. However, what I meant by helping is by allowing the God of Farming to create and grow plants or herbs that can help with creating potions or medicine. Whether it is a vegetable, fruit, or just a plain ordinary medicinal herb, you will not complain. In exchange, you can use this stuff to help with your problem or whatever bottleneck you are experiencing. Discuss matters with the God of Farming and talk to him about the kind of cure you want to develop so that he can start working on it."

The God of Farming smiled and nodded at this proposal. "[It makes sense to ask for my help if it relates to plants. Although Herbs was part of my specialty, I gave that up to the Goddess of Medicine as she needed to use it for her abilities. Never thought that you would be collaborating with me again on this one.]"

Despite the clear disagreement that the Goddess of Medicine feels, she decides to hold it in and goes along with it.

"[Fine. I will be sending the data of my research to this lunkhead. Let’s make sure that you succeed in whatever you need to do as your blessed human promises me that you would be helping me break through that bottleneck of mine. Don’t you dare break that promise.]"

"[Hmph, as if I will fail on that. I am a professional.]"

After that, the Goddess of Medicine left to go back to her place while the God of Farming looked at her getting smaller as she got farther away. Once they can confirm she is nowhere in sight, the three sighed in relief.

"[Ugh...for the first time, I feel drained even though I didn’t do anything exhausting.]" the Goddess of Taming said as she returned to her seat and leaned her head to the seat.

"[Yeah. Her presence just made me lose all my patience. This is much worse than when I am fishing for something big and dangerous. I should go back to my domain to rest my brain a bit.]" The God of Fishing stood up from his seat and started stretching a bit.

"[Me too. Anyways, good luck with your new job.]" the Goddess of Taming tapped on the shoulder of the God of Farming before she and the God of Fishing left the domain of the God of Farming.

"[Haaaa...finally some peace and quiet," the God of Farming slumped to his chair.

"Did I do something inappropriate by meddling in the Godly affairs?" Elaina asked, worried that she might have gone overboard.

"[Not at all. In fact, I like your suggestion. Not only will this benefit me, but it will benefit you as well. Planting some medicinal herbs will be a good way for you to supply medicine to that girl who always calls you Sis. With the powers of the Goddess of Medicine in her, she can get a better deal in making some potions and medicines if she likes and if not for that, you can sell it as a raw ingredient to the market and you can earn money as a result. As for me, I will have more freedom in what kind of plants I can make and what I can put on my experiments. We are all winning here.]"

"Well, that’s great to know. It would have been bad if I suddenly make you guys create an internal strife and trouble starts brewing."

"[Pretty common here, nothing to worry about.]"

Elaina smiled. The problem has finally passed and the situation has finally turned for the better and in her favor too which is what she gambled on that the Goddess of Medicine will bite. Thankfully, the backing of the other gods helps a lot.

Realizing that trouble will always come knocking when least expected it, Elaina flips through her Almanac and looks at the locked pages. Seeing the benefits of being friendly to multiple deities is quite a perk already. So to get massive support and help from them, Elaina put the unlocking pages as her next priority while she can still move around just fine.

"[Ah, that’s right, Elaina. Since the situation has gone smoothly right now, how about you check the ledger? Due to this collaboration with the Goddess of Medicine, a new line of products has been launched for you to avail for purchase using the FP. Perhaps you will find a few stuff there that will be for your liking.]" The God of Farming said.

"New stuff? Let’s see then," Elaina headed to the ledger and started to flip to the pages. She was expecting something new on the ledger and indeed. Something has been added that is now going to be available for purchase. It is on the new section that appeared out of nowhere like it has been updated.

"Seedlings?"

Elaina flipped through the pages and landed on the new page, seedlings. There, instead of seeds, she found little saplings that were ready to plant and were already showing a sprout. It is like just planting trees, but the difference is planting herbs.

"[Because some of these herbs do not grow in seeds, I decided to instead use saplings as a way for you to grow one yourself. Some of them do grow in seeds and will produce some but to be consistent, I just made a sapling version. Easy and less hassle. Pretty convenient if I say so myself.]" The God of Farming is pretty proud of himself.

Browsing through the seedlings, Elaina saw many of them are different kinds of medicinal herbs that she usually sees in some shops that deal with alchemy and potion making. She remembered most of them due to how expensive they were even for her budget as an empress back then due to how limited the stock of those herbs was as they were well sought out. She didn’t expect to find them here on the ledger, ready to be purchased.

"Do they not get segregated by season like the regular plants do?" Elaina asked.

"[Nope. Unlike the veggies, the herbs grow all year round, whether you are in a tropical area of the world or not. In short, even if it is winter or summer, the plants will continue to grow properly.]"

"That’s good to know."

As the two continued to talk, the Goddess of Medicine returned and this time, she had the item that the God of Farming wanted to create.

Things were serious when all of a sudden, the God of Farming started to lock in and focus on the job.

"[No wonder you hit a bottleneck, this is a tough case but not impossible.]" he said as he slowly opened up a box near him and pulled out an item that the Goddess of Medicine needed.
