Chapter 152: Is this how it feels to be like a Boss?

"[So, you understand now? It isn’t such a big upgrade but it is designed for you to keep on enjoying the benefits of the Almanac, and still get FP even when you are not working directly.]" The God of Farming seems to be proud of his work.

"Uwaa, this feels pretty lazy, to be honest, and you didn’t give any improvements much in here," Elaina scratches her head.

"[As I keep on saying even before, you can only enjoy the full benefits once you are no longer pregnant. Right now, I restrict most of the effects of the Almanac for your good. It may feel like you got scammed or screwed but don’t worry, you just needed to endure the remaining years of your pregnancy and get used to being idle most of the time.]"

Elaina sighed. She was hoping that she could at least do something about being idle. One of the things she doesn’t like is being idle as it feels like she is wasting her free time when she can do something more productive instead. But with her babies inside her belly, there is nothing she can do about it.

Elaina looked at the field. Since the rain wasn’t that strong, it didn’t hinder her vision of what was happening on the field. There isn’t any fog either, allowing her to see the result of the Feys’ work.

"Looks like they are already clearing out the other plants that will no longer bear any fruits and they have already checked the corn. They also harvested a few of the cucumbers remaining as well."

"[Even if you are not focused on your field, it will remain functioning. Just remember to keep on watching the field and never forget it.]"

Elaina nodded and looked at the daily tasks again. She remembered there were still some tasks that were not yet finished and still needed to be fulfilled.

"...Ah," Elaina then saw that those tasks that were not completed just yet were already labeled completed. And those tasks involved harvesting some of the resources and removing some weeds and pests on the leaves. Both of them are now completed, officially completing all tasks for the day.

"[It is convenient, isn’t it? I also wanted something similar to that to my job as well but unfortunately, as one of the gods, our work comes with no shortcuts like this kind which is kind of sad.]"

"But aren’t you gods able to do things that are called miracles? What you gave me already is something that even other people aren’t capable of doing."

"["Because you received my blessings and it is my job to make miracles like that. As for us, those miracles don’t work so even if I replicate that idea for myself, it won’t work as well as how it works on yours.]"

So even gods do feel like they wanted to do some shortcuts as well. But sadly for them, their job does not even permit them to do so. Elaina thought that humans with blessings were such a wonder indeed and special to the point that even the gods themselves wished that they could also replicate what they could do to their chosen people.

"[Anyways, that should be everything else, Elaina. Until the day you are no longer pregnant and can properly work again, the Almanac will remain in Assist mode for now. Alright then, have a good day. Just call me again if there are other things you have concerns with.]"

After that, Elaina is alone again. She had no intention of pestering the god of farming again as she could tell he was quite busy already. Despite him making adjustments here and there on her almanac, he also had some work to do on the sidelines, so she can only say that the god in charge of him is working hard.

As for the two other gods, it seems they already decided to do something else while she is pregnant as she cannot do anything to progress anything related to their specialties. She might be able to do something on the taming department but that is a bit hard and she doesn’t want to risk it so she will have to refrain from getting close to the dungeon.

On the other hand, for fishing, well, since she got a ban for fishing while she is still pregnant, she is also not able to progress anything related to that. It is kind of weird for her since she heard that some women who are pregnant have done some fishing while they are already in six months or more. Some even did it while they were in nine months.

"Perhaps the reason why Dr. Fey made me avoid fishing is because of my recent outburst of power back then which happened a few times. She is now getting cautious of me getting too serious about fishing that I might stress myself out and affect the baby in the process," Elaina muttered to herself.

It is possible indeed. So, even if she wanted to fish, it is better to avoid doing so. She sighed and sat down on the rocking chair on the patio. It was one of the things she bought on Jacob’s woodwork alongside the shelves she bought the other day. It is the right timing for her to have them as she would be able to just remain sitting on it while also looking over her farm.

The rain slowly slows down for a while and the cold weather slowly turns warm. It isn’t fully stopping just yet but it is already showing signs that the rain will be over soon.

Elaina comfortably leaned her head on her right hand, resting over the shoulder of the rocking chair, and realized something while also watching over the field.

"Is this how it feels to be like a boss?" she realized by herself as she looked over the Feys finishing their current work.

She scratched her head and chuckled a bit. "Ha...I feel silly. Perhaps this is one of the side effects for me after a few hours of idling. Gah, I needed to do something, perhaps a kitchen work should suffice."

...

...

...

At the castle, Princess Margaux decided that she would have a good talk with her Father this time. Although she didn’t say anything to him back when Elaina had her trial, she couldn’t just let it remain the same. She thought of it long and hard for a while after the trial to ensure that she made the right choice.

She soon realized that she didn’t want to keep on burdening Elaina on the farmhouse and it should be time to have a deep talk with her father about her marriage. Since the king didn’t force her to return, she thinks the king understands her and decides that it would be fine.

First, she decided to visit her mother. She needed her input this time around regarding the fiancee that she will be having and the upcoming marriage once she gets into her legal age.

She arrived on the carriage that she borrowed from her sister who readily made one ready to depart. She also asked permission from Elaina as well that she would be gone for a while to discuss things with her father.

The carriage arrived fast because of the rain and the less congested road to the castle, allowing for easy travel time.

"We are here, Second Princess, I will wait for you in the stables if you want to go back," the coachman said.

"Thank you. Don’t wait for me, it might take me some time. I will just ride another carriage on my return. Just go back to my sister instead."

The coachman nodded and the carriage left her behind as one of the maids escorted her while also covering her with an umbrella. As she was approaching the door to the castle, the butler is currently waiting for her.

"Greetings, Second Princess. I already received information from your sister upon your arrival," the butler bowed to Princess Margaux.

"Is my father currently free?" Princess Margaux asked.

"Not yet. He is currently talking to someone right now. You should ask your mother for more particular details regarding the person who is currently with your Father right now."

Princess Margaux nodded and nodded to the maid to be dismissed before she turned back to the butler again.

"Is mother in her room?"

"No. She is currently having tea alone in her garden. Shall I escort you?" the butler asked.

"No need, I can visit her on my own."

After saying that, Princess Margaux headed to the garden of her mother where some flowers grow there all year round. There, she saw her mother currently talking with her maids and laughing. When the maids saw her entering, they all bowed down before letting her have her time with the Queen.

The queen also noticed her and smiled.

"Very good timing, my dear daughter, Margaux. Your arrival is impeccable."

Princess Margaux frowned after hearing this. "Eh?"

"I can tell you want to talk to your father about your unannounced fiancee, right? I think it is time for you to know who he is."

Princess Margaux was stunned hearing this. She is not prepared for this encounter. She just hoped that she could at least have the same courage to face this trouble ahead like how Elaina did with any of the troubles she faced. However, it is too late to back down.

"Can I talk to father?"
