Chapter 129: The Sanctuary’s Existence

Elaina and the girls started to look around the remaining rooms on the second floor after finding that chest containing a few stuff inside. They might be able to unearth some artifact or something that is hidden from all the junk. However, it seems that was not the case, because after checking sometime, there is only one thing that is a little bit more valuable than the rest of the junk present that should be cleaned up and scrapped or just thrown away.

"This is a very intricate stuff I doubt it is being used as some sort of cane in any way," Elaina held the staff currently resting on one long case that contains the preserved staff.

"It looks like the same staves usually used by those shamans and other people who use similar abilities like magic, but are more advanced and a bit more complicated to study," Julia appraised the staff as she inspected every single detail of the staff.

"You mean the Arcane?" Elaina asked.

"Something like that, but it is more close to the shamanism. I just don’t know the right term for it, but I heard they call it something. Something about "nature" or a little close to that," Julia tried racking her brains to remember the word.

"Naturia?" Princess Margaux guessed.

Julia immediately snaps her fingers and smiles after hearing what Princess Margaux just said.

"Nailed that! Yes, it is Naturia!"

"You girls are familiar with it?" Elaina looked at the two.

"I read it once in a book at the castle before when I awakened with my power. Since no one can tell me what my power is, I have to look on the books and search for it which then made me stumble on that word."

"Me as well. It was when I was learning magic with the one who taught me who told me about it and said that it is a type of magic that is very strong but only selected people can even use."

Elaina looked at the staff on her hands again. Based on the journal, it seems the person who has written it is also the staff’s owner. This solidifies Elaina’s theory that this person is some kind of an adventurer or a mercenary, it’s either of the two but she is leaning toward the former. The fact that this person managed to continue living on the farm safely proves his or her skill, which is kind of a shame that Elaina couldn’t meet this person anymore as this same person may be already dead.

"Well, we might as well use this staff. Does anyone from the two of you want to use it for practice? I can’t use magic so you two are the most likely candidate to even own this, otherwise, I will just keep it as some sort of decoration to the wall.

"Eh, just give it to Princess Margaux, I don’t use staves while using magic. I could use a wand but a stave is not my style," Julia shrugged and looked at Princess Margaux who was shocked at Julia’s words.

"Huh? Me? But isn’t this something that can be used for magic?"

"As I said before, I don’t like using it and my battle style doesn’t work well with staves. I think yours would work well with it since you are a druid and your abilities do work similarly to Naturia based on its description and comparing both seems like it had little to no difference. You should have it," Julia insisted.

"Well, there you have it, here, take care of it."

Princess Margaux reluctantly took the staff and still couldn’t believe that she owned it now.

"Alright, this is enough idle time. You girls should clean up the second floor. Perhaps you two can also choose whether you guys should move to one of these rooms and own your private rooms. I will still be using my room downstairs so I don’t think I will be using any of the rooms upstairs. I will be going back to my work since it is now getting late and I am not done with most of it. I can’t just leave the Feys to finish all of the work meant for me to finish."

The two girls nodded. It seems that they are indeed considering taking up on Elaina’s offer to use the rooms although Elaina is not yet sure whether they would do it or not. It’s not up to Elaina to decide since she allowed them to do what they please.

Elaina returned to do her work but as soon as she arrived there, the Feys had already done everything, leaving her without anything left to do."

"Boss, sorry about that. Since you were taking a while inside, we decided to just finish up your work rather than leave it. We also finished the rest of it," Bam reported to Elaina the moment they saw her return.

"W-well, good work you all. You guys will receive a bonus later. Get some rest, you all have worked hard."

The Feys nodded before returning to their home. As for Elaina, she decided to relax underneath the tree, near the stream as she flipped through the journal. While flipping through it, there was a sketch inside that the writer of the journal made. She didn’t see it since she didn’t read the rest of the journal inside after reading "the duty of the farmer" part.

Beside the sketch is a paper that is attached to that page, folded neatly which is placed enough for the paper to be not noticeable. Opening it reveals it to be a map. It was a sketch of the dungeon map of the first floor and Elaina did remember this as Julia also mapped the dungeon last time. But compared to Julia’s map, the one in the journal is much more detailed and it is expanded a bit.

Not only that, Elaina remembered the part of the map that Julia made where it was a dead end, ended up having some path, and on that path, leads to what was mentioned before as the "sanctuary". That’s when Elaina remembered something to ask the gods about this.

"Hey there gods, are you guys there?"

"[Something the matter?]" the God of Farming asked.

"Where are the others?"

"[Busy. They also have their stuff to deal with so if you plan to ask all of us, just ask again later once they are not busy. As for me, I can answer your questions anytime.]"

"Ah, I think it is fine if it is you then. But it would have been great to have the input of the other two but it will do."

"[Is this about the sanctuary?]"

"Did you see it?"

"[I know its existence but I never really know much about it aside from the other gods. The only thing I know is that this was some sort of joint project of the four gods that govern the seasons, The God of Spring, The Goddess of Summer, The Goddess of Autumn, and The God of Winter. Other than that, I don’t have much information regarding that.]"

"I see. So even gods have some stuff they don’t know," Elaina nodded in response.

"[Of course. I am the God of farming and agriculture. I have barely time to check up on other’s business. Although I know a few bits of things, I don’t think I am that much omnipotent in terms of things that I know.]"

"Well, after what I read, what do you think about that place?"

"[I can already tell that you want to utilize it for your own use.]"

"You know it. I would be a fool if I didn’t take advantage of that. Of course, I plan to explore it once I have given birth."

"[A place where seasons don’t change, it does sound enticing. It works like a greenhouse but in a more natural way. The only thing that seems to be a disadvantage for me is that there is a dungeon just below that place. It is both dangerous and something worth exploring.]"

"What do you think about its existence? I never have seen anything like that being replicated. Even greenhouses cannot replicate the real seasons for plants to grow and yet this one has the eternal seasons. It is kinda broken isn’t it?"

"[Not at all. I think it is somewhat of a decent reward knowing that it is inside a dungeon. Eternal seasons can be a very good way to plant something season that continuously grows and only wilts during a season. What if it remains blooming until the very end? The possibility of utilizing it for farming is something that I can see its uses.]"

"I see. You acknowledge the usage of this place then?"

"[If you plan to utilize it, well, why not? If it provides a big help for the task then it will be useful for testing purposes in the future as well. In short, I am in favor of using it.]"

"Nice!"

"[However, I will only agree with you to venture deep into the dungeon once you are already done with your pregnancy. Safety with your baby comes first.]"

Elaina nodded. Now that the the god of farming has given his signal, Elaina will have to prepare in the future for the exploration and locate that place as soon as possible.
