Volume 15 Chapter 47: Meeting The King

“Your majesty!” Rhaegon and Elyndra soon burst into the room with knights behind them. Elyndra paled as she quickly rushed over to her husband's side. Never had she seen him in such a critical condition. 

“I’m fine. We have to assist the child; he jumped out of the window.” He was still facing off against Sarthos.  

“...” Alastair paused as he stared at the door. Scarlet stood there. Neither person spoke; Scarlet's eyes quivered as she stared at his wretched state. She asked, 

"Where is Keith?" He had burst into the castle and charged straight for the office with the others shielding him. 

"Window. He's fighting with Sarthos." Hearing his words, Scarlet didn't hesitate to jump down and chase after him. 

The two had landed in a small part of a garden. Sarthos shook his head, "You bastard!" However, the response he got was a giant halberd being swung at his face.  

"Thanks. Knowing you hate me is better." Keith grinned. Why would he care about what his enemies think of him? However, knowing how irritated he was made him easier to fight against. There's no need to hold back. Keith placed his hand down, and two circles appeared.

"Summoning?" Sarthos was prepared when they showed up.

"Get him."

“Understood.” “You better watch out.” Two great spirits grinned as they watched him. There was nothing else that needed to be said. 

“Keith!” Scarlet immediately hugged his back.

Keith stroked her head, "Relax, I'm fine." With those two, how could he lose?

"Thanks a lot."

"Don't mention it." "It's been so long since we fought." 

"..." I see. Should I bring them out more often?

After a few days, the demon kingdom may seem nice, but behind the scenes, there was an upheaval. Selk rested in the garden, where Scarlet and Eri were snuggling with each other. Well, it was more like Scarlet snuggling the fox. 

Thank goodness she didn't notice anything. In the revolt, Aria was on Eri protection duty. 

“Princess,” Selk’s eyes narrowed at her. 

Scarlet pouted as she brought Eri closer, “Come on, there’s nothing to worry about. I need some hugs after such a long battle.” After some time, that was when Keith came out, “Alright, come over here and do it. I have some pancakes.” The moment he said this, the others had gotten up; pancakes were always perfect in this situation. 

“And why are you here?” Scarlet’s eyes locked onto Tharaziel. But the man looked away, “Why are you so mean to me, Big Sis!” He was already in tears. 

“Because you deserve it.”

“...” I just got here!

“...There, there.” Eri was patting him on the thigh. It seemed she wanted to touch his head, but the thigh was the only thing she could reach.

“Woooa!” Tharaziel was in tears as the little child was the only one who was kind to him in this situation! Valgros scoffed, “Seriously, you need to quit it.” 

“What is this, Keith?” Elyndra asked as she noticed the fluffy pancakes.

“Oh, these are buttermilk pancakes. I tried something new. And stop drooling.” Keith pinched Scarlet’s cheeks. She was practically drooling over the cakes. 

Valgros bit into it, “Good. But I prefer the others.” 

“I see.” Keith laughed. As expected of a meat lover. But Scarlet and the other ladies seem to like it. But once they were finished with it, Eri started to make some strange moves.

“What are you doing, Eri?” Lilith tilted her head. 

“She’s stretching,” Keith explained, "Every time we eat sugary things, she does a small exercise." It had become a habit since she had been working so hard. Lilith and Elyndra found her actions to be quite adorable, with all the small animals around; it created a fluffy scene. 

“You need to do it as well.” Don't try to hide yourself. Scarlet was sipping tea, trying her best to stay out of the situation.

The demon princess whined, “Can’t I do it at another time?” There were so many people here; was he trying to embarrass her in front of everyone? Keith then frowned, “Do you remember what happened when you didn’t? You gained like-”

“Ey! I’ll do it! I’ll do it!” She quickly got up and followed Eri in the workout. 

Tharaziel’s jaws dropped while he stared at his sister. The look in her eyes said it all. She was going to have his head later.

Selk shook her head. The years have passed, and her princess has become like this. That was something he was not going to do.

“Where did you get all of these?” Lilith was quite enjoying all of the food that was brought out. She understood why they felt something. Scarlet then suggested, “How about you add a bakery in the demon kingdom?” 

“Hmm? Bakery?” 

“Oh, we could!” Lilith clapped her hands together when she heard that. Keith blinked, “I don’t think I could put in here any time soon.”

“But-“

“Sir Keith.” Rhaegon arrived.

“I’m here to bring him to the king.”
