Volume 15 Chapter 46: No Need To Hold Back

A few hours prior to the incident,

“Your majesty, please have some tea I’ve procured.” Sarthos smiled as he brought out some tea leaves. Alastair nodded as he took a sip, "Not bad."

“...I see.” Knowing him for some time, that was the best he was going to get.

“So, how is Draezar?” Alastair calmly asked. But that was the worst question to ask at the moment.

“...” Sarthos's composure almost broke. His expression slightly twisted as the person who did this was nearby. He took a deep breath as he insisted, "He's fine. Your Majesty, I still believe that the two of them should get married.”

“There’s no need for it any longer. Scarlet has no interest in your son.” He wasn’t going to force the situation now that Scarlet had won the tournament.

“Are you really going to break the ties our family has with one another?” The two families had long ties with one another. If they sever the ties, both sides would suffer.

“Are you threatening me?” Instantly, the temperature of the room changed. Despite his words, Alastair's expression was the same, yet there was a hint of darkness.

“What if I am?” Before Alastair could respond, Sarthos dashed in with frightening speed!

However, Alastair easily kicked him across his office. He smashed through his sofa and other furniture before crashing into the wall.

“Do you think you can beat me?” They have fought countless times before. Not once has Sarthos ever beaten him. But the duke grinned, “True. But this isn’t a match.”

“?!” Alastair’s eyes slightly blurred; everything became slowly hazy. That was when the assassins jumped in! Sarthos took the chance and sliced off one of Alastair's arms!

"!" Not a sound escaped his mouth, yet he took a knee.

“I’ve been waiting for this all my life.” Sarthos took a deep breath, “How many times have you sat on that seat and done nothing.”

“...”

"Do you know how long I've waited for this chance? It would have gotten smoother if the brat had been poisoned instead."

“...What do you mean?”

"Do you think that lowly maid was the one who should have been poisoned?" There was a mix-up. The reason Fritz and the others were able to enter the demon kingdom was due to his authority.

Scarlet was the one who was supposed to be poisoned.

“...You!” Finally, Alastair's expression changed, but his mouth splurted blood as another sword pierced through his chest.

“It was a pity, but all of them will die today. The royal family shall be gone and replaced.” He planned to take Alastair's head off when,

“Rawr!” Alastair suddenly roared out, causing all of the assassins to back away from him. But Sarthos wasn’t fretting, “Go!” They had planned for this. In dire strife, Alastiar was going to use his demonization. However, what they didn’t expect was…

Pure savagery. Alastair was like a wild beast, taking down anything that came his way. Sarthos’s expression darkened as he took a step back. The killing intent over here was strong. However, his wildness soon stopped.

With an arm lost and losing a large amount of blood, Alstair’s eyes slowly darkened. Fioreal, I’ll be coming to you. The blade that was raised slowly swung down onto his head.

No sound occurred.

“I made it in time.”

Keith sighed in relief as he fired lightning magic.

Alastiar's expression changed as he muttered, “Why are you here?” Anticipating that someone would come here was unexpected. But the person being Keith was even more so.

“Minister Rhaegon was dealing with the rebels, but he ordered the knights to make a path for me.” Keith immediately came into the room to see him with one arm off.

"Tch!" Lightning strikes came raining down on the assassins, separating them from Alastair. Keith quickly cast some ice magic onto his wounds, “We’ll have someone take a look at this.”

“...Just let me disappear.”

“No can do.” Keith shook his head, “If you’re gone, then Scarlet is going to cry.”

“She would?”

“She was almost in tears when she saw the explosion.” Keith grinned, “Anyways, I should deal with you.” His eyes were locked onto Sarthos, and he couldn’t help but snort,

“Like father, like son.” The two were both sniveling rats.

“You.” Sarthos's teeth were about to crack. Why is it him again?! All the plans he created were ruined in a matter of days because of this one person!

“Please, keep talking.” Keith dashed forward and quickly kicked the assassins out of the room. He then tackled Sarthos out the window as well!
