Jiang Jinchen walked over and placed a wine glass in front of her.

"The food is finished—now speak," said Jiang Jinchen as he pulled out a chair and sat opposite her.

He swirled the red wine in his glass and took a light sip.

Jing Yan glanced at him, her lips parted slightly, but she remained silent.

She picked up the red wine beside her, the rim just touching her lips, then she remembered something and put the glass back down.

Due to nervousness, her hand holding the glass revealed a network of blue veins.

Faced with him, Jing Yan struggled to speak, the words almost escaping her but ultimately failing to emerge.

After thinking it over, she turned and went into the room.

Her voice trembled as she spoke.

Jing Yan placed her hand on the table, and the pregnancy test with two clear red lines entered the man’s line of sight.

It was as if a bolt of lightning tore through his mind.
