Chapter 75: Ah! Madam, it’s you.
She peeked into the room, sighting her beast, she sighed in disappointment.
She had hoped for a miracle, but the fox still looked like a naked chicken, with no signs or improvements whatsoever.
She noticed the room was cramped and the beasts couldn’t move around, so she decided to put them in her space.
Opening the door fully, she walked into the room under their stares. The fox hurriedly rose to its feet and rushed towards her.
Eva patted its body with a forced smile, quickly withdrawing her hand as a prickling sensation spread across her palms.
With furrowed brows, she squatted down closer and rubbed its skin again. Her eyes widened in elation as she saw small, silver hairs beginning to grow on its body.
She held it and pecked its face with a loud smack. "I knew you would become beautiful. It was just a matter of time! Ha! I can’t wait!" she bragged, forgetting that just hours ago, she could barely bring herself to say the word "beautiful" when facing the beasts.
The fox stared at his two-faced owner in disbelief, but he was happy nonetheless that its owner finally accepted it.
Eva’s smile grew wider, imagining her beast becoming as beautiful as she was. And her hands grew gentler as she patted its body.
"I will feed you well, you have to outshine both of them," Eva muttered, gesturing to the two beasts with her eyes.
The fox felt pressured under her gaze, moving away shyly and glancing at the two other dangerous beasts.
It shrank and turned to Eva with a suspicious gaze, wondering if its owner wanted it to die before its time.
"Hey, fox. What’s with your gaze? Hmm...maybe I should give you a name; I can’t keep on calling you Hey or Fox." Eva rubbed her chin in thought, distracted by finding a name for it.
The other beasts watched Eva and the fox with a bored drowsy stare. The wolf barred its fangs at the fox in a teasing manner and the fox burrowed into Eva’s body, nearly pushing her down with its weight.
Eva felt her face hurt at its embarrassing reaction; she gazed at the fox with a side glance, disappointed it didn’t live up to her expectations.
She quickly sent it into her space, naming it would come later. Moving towards the snake, it rose from its coiled form and let out a threatening hiss.
Eva looked at its majestic form with envy, wondering why her beast couldn’t exude such a dangerous aura.
Not giving the snake time to react, she tapped its hood and it vanished.
The wolf watched this and retreated; it bared its sharp fangs to her but showed no signs of attack since it could smell its owner’s scent on her.
Eva’s attention was drawn to the sparse fur, her hands itching to touch it.
’’Don’t be afraid, come to mama.’’ Eva’s voice was warm, almost masking the wretched gleam in her eyes.
It growled out, trying to scare her, but Eva felt it was so cute and shy, so she approached it.
Getting closer, she dived onto its body, her arms wrapped around its body as far as her hands could reach.
The wolf froze In shock, (◎△◎;) its expression as though Eva had molested it
’’Haa....so nice. Mmm...’’ Eva was lost in its softness, her face rubbing back and forth on its stomach.
’’Awooh...’’ it cried out, feeling all its newly grown fur was gone. It shook its body, trying to get her off, but Eva couldn’t budge; her grip was firm, holding onto its fur with a satisfied smile ( ᴖ ᴈ ᴖ).
Meanwhile, Ethan, in her space, heard the wolf’s cry for help through their bond but couldn’t intervene. When he saw the beasts and realized his wolf was missing, he immediately knew its fate at Eva’s hands.
Back in the room, the wolf lay with a blank expression of defeat, allowing her to settle in more comfortably.
Time passed, and Eva grew too comfortable, her eyelids heavy with yawns as sleep claimed her. Then a mouthwatering aroma wafted to her nose.
She sniffed the air, eyes still closed, rising from the wolf’s stomach like a ghost.
She turned to the door in slow motion, her eyes widening. Climbing down from the wolf’s body, she tapped it gently, and it vanished into her space with tears of relief.
...
The chef hurried into the kitchen, packing meat into a big bowl and stirring the boiling stew, his hands trembling as the spoon nearly slipped.
He cracked his knuckles, trying to loosen their stiffness. He turned to plate the rice when he suddenly saw a figure standing at the door.
A short scream left his lips. He blinked, and through the mist of the boiling pot, he saw Eva’s hazy figure.
’’Ah! Madam, it’s you. Give me five minutes. The food will be ready.’’ He patted his chest and under Eva’s drooling gaze, he finished plating everything.
Eva stole a piece of meat while his back was turned. She huffed, blowing on it to cool it down, but the heat didn’t stop her from chewing.
She chewed the spicy mad bunny meat, her face flushed in enjoyment. If the chef hadn’t turned, she could have picked another piece.
She could only wait impatiently as he packed the remaining food.
The chef felt her intense gaze and quickened his pace, finishing in a minute.
’’Thank you, Chef, your food is so delicious.’’ Eva praised him sincerely, almost causing the old man to blush in embarrassment. He watched as she dragged the heavy tray effortlessly, the height of the food covering her petite figure.
The butler who was passing by at this moment nearly stumbled in shock, he held the wall and watched a mountain of food grow legs and pass him.
Only seeing Eva’s familiar back, he snapped out of his stupor, shaking his head, his expression returned to normal.
But he kept in mind to stock up on more meat, with the rate Madam eats meat, it wouldn’t take a week before all the meat in the cold room finished.
Eva carried the food with a wide smile, passing a corner near the stairs before vanishing into space.
’’Oh, you have returned.’’ Ethan’s dry tone caused Eva to tremble, almost dropping the food. ’Crap. How could she have forgotten about Ethan?’
Julian glanced at them with a raised brow, wondering what had transpired between them. He tried to get Ethan to talk when Eva brought him in, but his cold face made him lose interest.
Eva dropped the food on the sofa; then she turned to Ethan with a sheepish, apologetic smile. ’’Would you believe me if I said I accidentally sent you into my space?’’
Eva tried her luck, flashing him a remorseful smile but Ethan’s deadpan stare made her aware he wasn’t buying it.
’’Lie obediently on the bed and raise your clothes,’’ Ethan said in a firm tone, already retrieving the balm from his pocket.
Eva gulped, retreating backwards when she slammed on a hard surface. She turned her head mechanically to see Julian staring down at her with a frown. ’’You’re injured?’’ he asked in concern, his hands caging her In place.
She struggled to break free from Julian’s hold, but he didn’t budge, as Ethan strode toward her, the balm in his hand looking ominously like a weapon.
