"Well..." Qin Ruan replied with a hint of mockery.

While appearing to engage in banter with Wei Linchen, she had kept an eye on Kang Dong, the male teacher seated not far from her, and the woman with black-rimmed glasses.

Kang Dong, perhaps drawn in by their conversation, relaxed his tense demeanor.

The female teacher, on the other hand, had an unfocused glaze in her eyes and strained her face. She did not dare to meet anyone’s gaze.

The hand hanging by her side was clenched into a tight fist. She continuously lifted and lowered the foot tucked into her high heel, appearing somewhat restless and uncoordinated.

Lu Xianglan, however, was not drawn in by the playful exchange between Qin Ruan and Wei Linchen.
