Nicholas gritted his teeth and glared at Huo Yirong. His gaze shot towards the irritated Donald beside him, and scoffed, "Isn’t it just because he got, bitten by a dog!"

Kneeling on the ground, Donald looked up at her, his face showing surprise, "It’s done?"

Qin Ruan laughed lightly, her voice calm, "Yes, you can go now."

Donald questioned, "Why did you keep postponing it before?"

If the process was this quick, he wouldn’t have waited this long.

He quickly walked to the back, opened the car door, and let Qin Ruan, dressed in casual attire and sporting flat shoes, out of the vehicle.

She looked up at Lu Han standing on the top of the stairs and initiated a greeting, "Director Lu, long time no see."

Lu Han sighed in relief, his face softening considerably. He was indeed worried that Qin Ruan would change her mind and not show up.

"Madam Huo, long time no see."

Qin Ruan ascended the steps towards Lu Han, "The person who died today, was it someone from Li Manning’s studio?"

She had previously heard from Lu Han over the phone that another murder had occurred. But she didn’t know the details.

Lu Han shook his head, "It’s not someone from Li Manning’s studio. It’s her maid who was taking care of her daily needs, and was one of the individuals we were focusing on for protection."

Qin Ruan walked up to Lu Han. A look of confusion appeared in her eyes, "Since it’s Li Manning’s maid, did you manage to get anything out of them?"

Since it was Li Manning’s personal maid, it was likely that they knew a lot about her.

Lu Han let out a soft sigh, "The maid didn’t know much about Li Manning’s affairs. Li Manning seems to be quite suspicious of people, none of her maids stay for more than three months."

Qin Ruan was even more puzzled, "If they’re not close, then why was the maid killed?"
