Chapter 356: Chapter 356: Qin Ruan: Your face is not as good-looking as my family’s Third Master
Donald’s eyebrows quirked slightly, a provocative look spread across his handsome face.
He put down his raised hands, inserted one hand into his pocket, and arrogantly said, "Rumor had it that when Master Huo went to the US, he was besieged by a group of wizards who were paid a high price by certain powers. I, along with other members of the Rasambo Family, were present and witnessed Master Huo’s skills firsthand.
I wonder if today, I, Donald, would have the honor of exchanging a few moves with you."
The depth of Master Huo’s mysterious gaze seemed infatuating, but upon closer inspection, one could spot the indifference and gloom hidden within.
His frigid voice rang out slowly, "Even though I may have some skills, they pale in comparison to yours."
Master Huo’s eyes, droopy from weariness, seemed even more dangerous now.
A look of challenge crossed Donald’s face as he said, "You’re being modest."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than he vanished from sight.
Qin Ruan’s beautiful eyes widened as she stared at Donald who suddenly appeared before her.
Upon closer inspection, she found this vampire quite attractive.
His eyes were piercing, his features refined; his skin was flawlessly white, and his lips so thin they were indescribably beautiful.
Qin Ruan was unsure how other vampires looked like, but compared to the vampires she had seen portrayed in films and television, the Donald in front of her was indeed outstanding.
What was most captivating were his eyes, as blue as the night sky shimmering with stars, which were revealed once the crimson haze receded.
A man like him, both in terms of his looks and his noble elegance, would definitely be a sensation if thrown into the entertainment industry.
"Ruanruan."
A hint of dissatisfaction could be heard in Master Huo’s low, gravelly voice as it echoed in Qin Ruan’s ear.
"Ahem——"
Qin Ruan softly coughed diverting her gaze away from Donald.
She found Master Huo’s hand and held it. Their intertwined hands serving as reassurance for him.
Donald narcissistically caressed his face, asking Qin Ruan with a smile, "Does Madam Huo find my face desirable?"
Qin Ruan glanced at him, replying lightly, "Not as good as my Master Huo."
Donald, who was basking in self-admiration, felt the perfect smile on his face slowly fade.
His gaze landed on Master Huo’s fine features, eyes saturated with criticism.
With Qin Ruan’s compliment, Master Huo’s sensuous lips slowly curled into a bright smile.
Donald scoffed, arrogance filling his eyes and expression.
Before anyone could react, multiple Wind Blades launched from his hand.
Qin Ruan’s eyes narrowed as she instinctively moved to shield Master Huo, her body brimming with the Nether Divine Power to meet the several Wind Blades head on.
The Wind Blades filled with killing intent dissipated into smoke upon meeting the Nether Power.
"What do you think you’re doing?!" Qin Ruan interrogated sharply.
Donald replied indifferently as if nothing had happened, "Just wishing to learn a few moves from Master Huo."
"Then let me learn a few moves from you as well!"
The moment Qin Ruan finished speaking, the mighty Nether Power which coalesced in her hand was thrust towards Donald.
Upon sensing danger, Donald disappeared from his original position and immediately reappeared several meters away.
Qin Ruan furrowed her eyebrows, her expression cold and serious, not intending to let him off the hook just yet.
She stepped forward, waving her hands in the air. Numerous Wind Blades, formed from the concentrated Nether Power, flew towards Donald with fierce aggression.
This time, escape would be impossible even if he grew wings.
Despite Donald teleporting once again, he was nonetheless hit by the Nether Power.
"Argh!"
Clutching his chest where he’d been hit, Donald coughed up a brilliant red stream of blood.
Nobody could see what Qin Ruan had utilized to hurt Donald. All they saw was her slender arms waving in the air, the atmosphere in the room momentarily frozen, and Donald, attempting to escape, bending over slightly, coughing up fresh blood.
Qin Ruan’s eyes, filled with threatening aura, were locked onto Donald. She examined him with a critical gaze.
She broke out into a light laugh, revealing an expression of contempt, as she scoffed, "That’s all you got?"
Donald wiped the blood from the corner of his lips, unoffended and smiling, "Madam Huo indeed has skillful means."
Qin Ruan raised her eyebrows, "You shouldn’t have attacked. As the saying goes, ’know thyself’. Even as a ghost, you should bear this in mind."
Anger flashed in her eyes, her provocative words leaving her mouth.
Perhaps Master Huo truly had some mysterious abilities or other means to protect himself.
However, none of these were visible to the Qin Ruan of the previous life, and she did not want anything untoward happening to Master Huo in her presence.
Donald’s attempt to kill was a violation of her bottom line
In her past life, Master Huo was her lifesaver, the father of the child she was expecting, and an essential part of her perfect future.
She had claimed Master Huo’s life as her own, thus anyone harbouring murderous intent for him was provoking her.
Lowering his gaze, Donald stared at the blood on his fingertips. A hint of darkness filled his eyes, "I was sincerely inviting Madam Huo to visit the Rasambo Family. I bore no intentions of harming anyone."
A fighting spirit surged around him, his eyes glowing a bright red.
"But you’ve already attacked."
Qin Ruan immediately sensed the danger subtly changing Donald. The Golden Whip, condensed from the Nether Divine Power, appeared in her hands in an instant.
She warned, "Donald, my advice is don’t waste your efforts; no one can force me to do something I don’t want to."
Donald held Qin Ruan’s gaze, his expression strange yet sinister, "Is Madam Huo really not giving me face?"
Qin Ruan: "Even if I did give face, it should be to a human, and you are not one."
"That really hurts." Donald clutched his chest, faking a pained expression.
The hostility emanating from his body receded and the interest in his eyes grew as he gazed at Qin Ruan. It was as though he was looking at a rare treasure.
However, beneath the surface of his eyes, a hint of malice still lingered.
It was anticipation, excitement, and the eagerness to witness a good show.
Noticing Donald’s increasingly blatant stare, Master Huo stepped forward and put his arm around Qin Ruan’s waist. His voice was chilling as it echoed with a hint of warning, "Cut the pretense. Take your men and get out of here!"
"Did Master Huo just lose his temper?" Donald scoffed. "You have a weakness, and Madam Huo is extraordinarily powerful."
He licked his lips and cast his gaze downward towards Qin Ruan’s belly, taking pleasure in their misfortune, "But the child you’re expecting is just a normal human.
The families of the wizards whom you once murdered in the US won’t spare your child. You have to understand that those US wizards hold grudges; they love revenge even if it implicates family members."
Master Huo’s handsome face darkened as a deep murderous intent radiated from him, "Donald, are you courting death?"
If previously Master Huo had been subtly restraining himself, now his blood-lust was fully revealed.
Donald stepped back, laughing as he said, "I am just giving a reminder, there’s no ill-intent."
?You call this no ill-intent?
Qin Ruan was shaking with outrage by the side.
She was not sure how Master Huo had incurred the wrath of the wizards in the US.
But should the matter involve her unborn child, she had zero tolerance.
