Chapter 355: Chapter 355: A Single ’I Like You’ and The Third Master Spills the Vinegar Pot
Leslie lifted her head, glaring balefully at Donald. "My biggest mistake was seeing you in the bar that night!"
Donald leaned over, his hand gripping Leslie’s chin tightly, sneered: "But you happened to have walked into my hands. The Bolin Family wasn’t in our targets originally.
The pure Bolin bloodline that runs in your brother’s veins-- centuries ago, your family was of the godsend lineage. Nicholas’s blood can allow me to regenerate my flesh."
Leslie’s eyes widened, "So, you initially targeted us?"
As Donald met her angry, suspicious gaze, he replied with an eye-blinding smile. "Your names were on our target list but were removed due to certain circumstances."
Leslie felt the blow once again.
All of this had indeed occurred because of her fascination with Donald’s face that led to the catastrophe.
If she hadn’t laid hands on this demon, none of the subsequent events would have happened.
"The reason why you are still alive is that your body successfully nourished the offspring of the Rasambo Family." Donald let go of her chin.
He got up, pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket, and carefully wiped the hand that held Leslie’s chin.
His words were ominous: "I dislike trouble, and I hate being defied. You’ve caused me too much trouble—it’s time you learned your lesson."
Qin Ruan felt her worldview crumbling. Donald was acting like a scoundrel now.
With a calm voice and yet turbulent gaze, Nicholas replied, "You have half of my life, isn’t that enough?"
A crimson glare emerged from Donald’s eyes, "It’s not enough. You have made the path that should have been straightforward, more difficult."
Nicholas roared, "You’ve already reached your goal."
Donald frowned slightly, "As I said before, I dislike trouble and back-talk."
He looked at Nicholas, "Do you want to live?"
A desperate ashen look appeared on Nicholas’ face, however, his desire to live was undiminished. "Yes, Leslie needs to survive too."
Donald nodded, talking slowly in a casual voice, "She can survive temporarily; the child needs her nutrients."
"I want her to live even after the child’s birth."
"You ask for too much."
Nicholas gritted his teeth, his eyes stubbornly fixed on Donald.
Donald’s face curved into a malicious smirk, "Alright."
Before Nicholas and Leslie could feel relieved, Donald said, "I want you to be my slave forever, for me to command."
Pointing at Nicholas, he licked the corner of his mouth with his forked tongue.
It seemed he was still relishing a prior delicacy.
Nicholas’s blood was like an intoxicating drug luring Donald, making him addicted.
He couldn’t stop himself. Once addicted, it’s impossible to restrain himself.
The feeling of losing control was just unstoppable.
He needed Nicholas’s blood, he wanted to possess this living, walking food reserve for a long time.
Honestly, Donald was reluctant to kill Nicholas.
Such delicious blood, he hadn’t encountered such for nearly a thousand years.
Nicholas didn’t ponder long. Two seconds after Donald made his proposal, he agreed, "Alright."
The corner of Donald’s mouth turned upwards, a blinding smile spread across his face.
Soon Nicholas asked: "And how can I trust you to keep your word?"
Donald’s smile vanished from his face, a hint of impatience showing in his demeanor. His luscious, blood-colored lips opened slightly: "Master-Servant Blood Pact."
Nicholas glanced back at the few remaining family wizards behind him.
A wounded middle-aged wizard stepped forward, his expression a mix of resentment and fear as he focused on Donald.
He bowed slightly towards Nicholas, "Young master, a blood pact signed by the Vampire King is extremely disadvantageous to hunters...to you. There’s no protection. The originator of a typical master-servant blood pact can erase you at any time."
Nicholas stared coldly at Donald, voicing his protest, "This is not fair."
Mockery flashed in Donald’s eyes, his expression arrogantly dismissive. "You must understand the law of survival of the fittest. The world is a place where the weak are too weak, and the strong are too strong. You were born weak, what rights do you have to talk about fairness with me?"
Qin Ruan couldn’t hold back her intervention, "I happen to have a fair solution."
Nicholas asked eagerly, "What solution?"
Donald squinted, smiling at Qin Ruan, making no move to stop her.
The journey to the East had brought him substantial gains and been quite entertaining, which was why he was in a good mood.
Qin Ruan leaned into her man’s arms, her eyes scanning across Nicholas’ hopeful face, "Let Donald undo the blood curse on you and sign a Life Pact instead. As long as Donald remains alive, you will be safe."
The pact between Xia Yunchen and his contract beast, Hook Snake, was precisely a Life-and-Death Pact – an oath to live and die together.
Basically, it’s a Life Pact.
The master isn’t significantly affected by the death of their servant.
Donald and Nicholas could also sign a blood pact like this one.
Nicholas and Leslie’s eyes lit up at the idea. Donald chuckled lightly, asking Qin Ruan, "What’s in it for me if I do this?"
Qin Ruan gave him a subtle smile, appearing completely unfazed, "You just promised Nicholas he would live. It’s merely a suggestion. Of course, if you were just saying it to deceive Nicholas and Leslie, then forget I mentioned it."
Donald is cunning. True to the Rasambo Family’s reputation, he enjoyed toying with humans and found their manipulation entertaining.
She just casually helped out the unfortunate duo, Nicholas and Leslie.
Donald nodded lightly and proposed with a grin: "I could agree to this but then you must visit the Rasambo Family’s house."
"We refuse!"
The cold voice of the Third Master rang out. His tone was resolute and unquestionable.
Donald’s gaze landed on Qin Ruan, a deep red in his eyes, "Are you going to refuse too?"
Qin Ruan responded casually, "If the Third Master doesn’t agree, I’m afraid I won’t be able to accede to your request."
"Why not?" Donald tilted his head in confusion, genuinely puzzled.
He saw Qin Ruan as an equally powerful being as their Satan. Why would she listen to a human?
Even though the Third Master was a human protected by mysterious forces, he could not escape the fact that he was still a mortal.
Qin Ruan voiced her confusion, "Then why are you insistent on inviting me to visit your family house?"
Donald: "I like you very much."
"Hey, that’s crossing the line." Huo Yirong joined in the conversation, expressing his dissatisfaction.
The Third Master’s face darkened, his lips drawn tightly together. His gaze was deep, sending off an unbearable pressure.
Qin Ruan was thrown into disarray by Donald’s straightforward declaration.
Confronted by three pairs of strange eyes, Donald raised his hand, explaining with a smile, "I like Madam Huo, but that doesn’t mean I consider her as a companion."
A chilly light flashed in the Third Master’s dark eyes as he issued a low warning, "Be careful with words that can be misunderstood, lest you invite unnecessary trouble."
