Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Qin Ruan’s one sentence about going home to prepare for the aftermath, shocks everyone
Qin Ruan indeed had not had much of an appetite these days, and she was partial to sour foods.
Most of the dishes on the table were to her liking, a fact she acknowledged and appreciated.
Qin Ruan pursed her lips, thanking the Third Master sincerely: "Thank you."
The Third Master looked rather helpless: "You’re still so formal."
He ruffled Qin Ruan’s hair, urging her to continue eating.
The three single men sitting across from them felt full before finishing their meal from watching the affectionate pair.
Halfway through breakfast, Leslie came in supporting a weakened Nicholas.
Huo Yirong politely asked the brother and sister, "Have you eaten? Why don’t you join us?"
Leslie’s face was weary, and she seemed to have lost her previous arrogance.
She helped Nicholas to sit down at the dining table, her eyes fixated on Qin Ruan, who was leisurely enjoying her breakfast under the Third Master’s care.
Just as Leslie was about to speak, Nicholas lifted his feeble hand and touched her arm.
Compared to yesterday, Nicholas now resembled a vampire more than before.
His complexion was deathly pale, with no hint of color, his lips were unnaturally bluish-purple, and his eyes were filled with bloodshot threads.
After finishing her medicinal soups, Qin Ruan’s cool gaze met with that of the Bolin Family’s siblings, and she stated flatly, "I can’t help you."
A ruthless light flashed under Leslie’s eyes.
She wondered how Qin Ruan couldn’t help them; it was evident that she just didn’t want to.
Nicholas pressed his hand onto his sister’s arm, signalizing her to hold back.
He put on a weak smile, sincerely apologizing to Qin Ruan, "Madam Huo, I apologize for my disrespect yesterday."
Nicholas’s friendly attitude made it impossible for Qin Ruan to keep a straight face.
She softened slightly and dismissed him, shaking her head, "It doesn’t matter that you called me narrow-minded, after all, we don’t know each other well.
But you shouldn’t have forced your sister onto the Third Master knowing that he’s married. Our marriage is for this life and beyond, there’s no divorce between us, only widowhood."
Snort!" Huo Yirong was drinking soup and almost sprayed it out, his many years of dining etiquette ruined.
"Cough, Cough, Cough!!" Qin Mei choked on his food.
"Clatter!!" Josh’s chopsticks fell to the floor due to the surprise.
Nicholas and Leslie were also shocked by Qin Ruan’s words, their expressions a sickly mix of astonishment and confusion.
Only Qin Ruan and the Third Master seemed unperturbed.
One was feeding, and the other was peacefully eating.
Their intimate interaction was quite comfortable and pleasant to behold.
Nicholas, seeing the Third Master’s indulgent attitude, composed himself and once again sincerely apologized to Qin Ruan, "I am sorry for causing trouble for you and the Third Master’s marriage, it was my fault."
Qin Ruan once again shook her head at him: "I still can’t help you."
Nicholas touched the spot on his neck where the wound had been, it’s no longer there, but he could still feel the pain.
The vampires of the Rasambo Family were after him and his sister. If they didn’t solve the problem soon, they would only be waiting for their death.
If the family wizard could resolve this, he wouldn’t have traveled all the way to Capital City to seek help from the Third Master, hoping to get rid of Donald.
Nicholas sincerely asked Qin Ruan, "Are you unwilling to help, or are you simply unable to?"
There was no provocation in his tone; he was sincere, truly curious as to why Qin Ruan was unwilling to help them.
Qin Ruan refused to entertain Madam’s antics any further, picking up a napkin and leisurely wiping the corner of her mouth.
The gaze in her cool, calm eyes was silent, bearing down coldly on Nicholas and Leslie. Her voice chilled the air: "You have not been completely honest. You’ve failed to reveal critical information, making it impossible for me to help even if I wanted to."
At her words, Nicholas and Leslie’s faces underwent dramatic changes. Indeed, they had kept some things hidden.
Qin Ruan’s dark gaze rested on Nicholas, her voice a serious murmur, "I can assure you, the vampire from the Rasambo family wants you dead."
Shifting her gaze to Leslie, a small grin played at the corner of her mouth, "As for Miss Leslie, you are currently carrying the offspring of the Rasambo Family. For now, you are safe, but as for what the future holds, I cannot guarantee."
As the child was mentioned, Leslie’s gorgeous face contorted with rage, "I don’t want this child! Can you make it go away?!"
Qin Ruan: "Yes, but I will not do it."
Donald thinks highly of the child Leslie is carrying. If she were to get rid of the child, the Rasambo family would likely take over here, destabilizing the peace.
Just the previous night, Madam and Donald had come to an agreement that as long as they did not interfere with affairs concerning the Rasambo and Bolin families, the century-old peace would endure.
Leslie was positively furious, pointing blame at Qin Ruan: "You can’t do anything! I bet you’re just toying with us!"
The elegant composure on Qin Ruan’s face hardened, and her deep eyes became dangerous; a hint of gold flickered within them.
However, none of the people present could see this change.
Qin Ruan rose to her feet, her deep icy eyes focusing on Leslie.
A change came over her presence, her aura turned cold, threatening, an intense oppressiveness emanating from her.
Upon confronting Qin Ruan’s intense, dark eyes, Leslie felt a chill spread through her body, as though something was about to crawl out from Qin Ruan threatening to consume her.
It was the breath of death, free from the stench of blood, yet its thick, resonant call towards death was something she could discern quite clearly.
Qin Ruan circled the table, step by step, moving toward Leslie.
From the start to the very end, Madam hadn’t obstructed her, even casually fiddling with the tableware Qin Ruan had used.
His movements were calm and elegant, radiating a superior demeanor.
His deep, delicate eyes slightly lifted, with his lips curling into a graceful arch, his cold expression seemed to look down upon everything around him.
Nonetheless, the corner of Madam’s eyes was focused solely on one person.
Qin Ruan stood in front of Leslie, sizing her up with her golden eyes.
Her demeanor became ever more solemn, her eyes revealing a bit of admiration, but also unspeakable complexity and regret.
The wizard who came with the Bolin family siblings immediately stepped forward to intervene when he perceived something was off with Qin Ruan.
They took turns confronting Qin Ruan, their main point being that she must maintain distance from Nicholas and Leslie.
Without missing a beat, Huo Chuan and Huo Zhi, among others, stepped forward to protect their future mistress. Their energy was far stronger than that of Bolin’s wizard.
Qin Ruan took two steps back, slowly closing her eyes.
When she opened them again, her eyes were clear, and the menacing, cold aura around her had disappeared.
She shot a cold glance at the Bolin family’s wizards, a hint of mockery and contempt visible on her exquisite face.
Lifting her hand slightly, Qin Ruan released her Nether Power, sending several wizards flying several meters away due to an invisible force.
Nicholas and Leslie once again came into her view.
Frowning at the two of them, she said, "Both of you made a blood pact with the Rasambo family, yet you murdered their next king. They want your lives in return, it’s only fair. Best return to the US soon and prepare for the inevitable."
Her words stunned everyone present.
