Chapter 339: The first time meeting her husband? Why is she stunned?

Chapter 339: Chapter 339: The first time meeting her husband? Why is she stunned?

Huo Yirong, the second master of the Huo family, paused in his footsteps, his handsome face showing surprise.

Was his third brother showing off his wife?

He laughed and gave Qin Ruan a thumbs up: "You’re truly impressive, little sister-in-law."

Qin Ruan was happy with the compliment. She curved her eyes laughing: "Just lucky."

Her laugh had an alluring charm that shone in her eyes.

Looking at her, the second master, Huo Yirong, was stunned, his eyes revealing admiration.

It’s fair to say that Qin Ruan wasn’t a stunning beauty, but the beauty radiating from her had a profound charm to it.

Upon seeing her second brother’s eyes locked onto Qin Ruan, Huo Yunjiao’s gaze darkened slightly.

Huo Yirong sensed this subtle change and joked with Qin Ruan, "Others might want to be this lucky, you are indeed fortunate, little sister-in-law."

Joss nodded in agreement, earnestly said, "Our cousin-in-law is indeed fortunate. The fish don’t bite at mine and Amei’s bait; it really comes down to luck."

Amei? What kind of strange nickname was this?!

Qin Mei glared at Josh, gnashing his teeth and said, "Josh, don’t call me that way!"

Heaven knows he once liked that name, but every time someone called him ’Amei,’ it gave him goosebumps.

Originally, he chose this name because he lost his sister and wanted to always remember to find her.

With his arms crossed, Josh chuckled, "You are calling me Josh, so why can’t I pick on you a bit?"

The second master Qin got angry, "Get lost, call me that one more time and we’re done!"

"Show me how you flip out." Josh provoked.

Huo Yirong stepped forward, ignoring the squabbling youngsters.

His gaze shifted between Huo Yunjiao and Qin Ruan, and he suddenly noticed that the couple complemented each other perfectly, as if they were born to be together, with no one in the world more suitable for each other than they were.

Huo Yunjiao, noticing his meaningful gaze, subtly pulled Qin Ruan closer to his waist, avoiding his second brother’s gaze.

A teasing smile appeared on Huo Yirong’s lips, "The food that Elder Qiang prepared is almost ready. Shall we go fill our stomachs? I’m hungry."

"Sure."

The third master, arm in arm with Qin Ruan, went away, leaving the bickering youngsters behind.

He also slid away from his second brother’s incessant gaze on Qin Ruan.

He simply did not want anyone else to scrutinize Qin Ruan. She always made him feel that someone might abduct her if he wasn’t careful enough.

As the trio left, Joss and Qin Mei finally halted their banter and hurried to catch up.

...

Dining area of the cabin room.

The third master, Huo Yunjiao, Qin Mei, Huo Yirong and Joss all took their seats.

Huo Qiang stood in front of them, his knife work dazzling the eyes.

He already beheaded the tuna and sliced it along the fish spine.

Bluefin Tuna is a high-grade ingredient for making sushi; it is rich in DHA, iron, amino acids, and various nutrients beneficial to the human body.

Huo Qiang skillfully drew the knife, sectioned it, removed the skin, deboned each small piece and sliced it into plates.

From beginning to end, his knife never paused, each stroke being swift and steady.

In the top grade bluefin tuna, there are areas such as: high fat, medium fat and red meat.

Huo Qiang only sliced from the medium fat and red meat sections of the fish.

Medium fat comes from a part of the belly and back with moderate fat content, providing a taste that is in-between high fat and red meat.

Red meat comes from the back, it has the least amount of fat, the toughest texture, least calories and most protein.

Huo Qiang served the sliced sushi in front of Huo Yunjiao and Qin Ruan.

Then he handed a portion to Huo Yirong, and the last two to Qin Mei and Josh.

Qin Ruan picked up the delicately translucent slice of sushi, dipped it in the sauce at hand, and put it in her mouth.

The meat was incredibly tender, leaving a sweet taste in her mouth.

Huo Yirong, sitting aside, tasted it and indeed found it delicious.

He picked up the napkin next to him, wiped his lips, and teased Qin Ruan with a smile, "Good, very delicious. Thanks to our third sister for giving us this opportunity to taste such delicacy."

Qin Ruan smiled, "Since it’s delicious, Brother Rong, please have more."

"I would love to."

With delicious food in their mouths, Josh and Qin Mei ceased their bickering for a moment, whispering something to each other.

Unfortunately, the pleasant atmosphere was always interrupted by someone.

Huo Chuan walked into the dining room, his steps hurried and his expression serious.

Seeing this, the Third Master put down his utensils.

He squinted, staring intently at Huo Chuan, "Has Nicholas arrived?"

"Yes, he should be here in about five minutes," Huo Chuan approached, his expression taut, "Third Master, should we stop him?"

"Stop?" Huo Yirong interjected, "I’d be impressed if you could."

He stood up, tossed the used napkin onto the table, and turned to Huo Yunjiao, "You guys continue eating, I’ll go and face him."

The Third Master said, "Go ahead, but keep it quiet."

"Sure."

Huo Yirong and Huo Chuan left swiftly without looking back.

Hearing that Nicholas was coming, Huo Zhi, who was guarding the door of the dining room, was already standing within three meters of Qin Ruan.

Nicholas was a friend of the second master and was unlikely to cause an unmanageable situation.

She guessed that nothing would go wrong tonight, but it was still best to be careful.

By the time Qin Ruan was nearly done eating, the sound of the aircraft’s propeller spinning could be heard from outside the cabin.

It seemed that the uninvited young master, Nicholas, had arrived.

Qin Ruan put down her chopsticks, glancing at the Third Master sitting next to her.

His handsome face, cool features radiating an elegant and unique aura, encompassed the charm of a mature man.

The Third Master savored his meal leisurely, his table manners flawless.

A man like him, oozing nobility in every gesture, was a rare breed, yet Qin Ruan had run into one.

The Third Master had noticed Qin Ruan’s gaze a while ago, enjoying the feeling of being the center of her attention.

It was as if, in Qin Ruan’s eyes, he was the only person she saw, with no room for anyone else.

After a while, without Qin Ruan uttering a word, the Third Master couldn’t resist teasing her.

He put down his utensils, turned his head and smirked at Qin Ruan as he chuckled, "Ruan Ruan, is this the first time you’re meeting your husband? You look stunned."

"Pfft!" from Josh.

"Cough cough cough..." from Qin Mei.

The two kids were dumbfounded by the Third Master.

And Qin Ruan was so embarrassed that she could dig a castle out of the cabin with her toes.

The Third Master’s teasing and seductive tone made her heart race. His jest was so embarrassing that she almost wished for a hole to appear in the ground to swallow her.

Husband?

Her second brother was still here. The Third Master really had no regard for others.

"Uh... uh... I’m full. Third cousin, enjoy your meal," Josh stood up and quickly left the dining room, as if a beast was chasing him.

Qin Mei clenched the chopsticks in his hand and ground his teeth.

The sound of his teeth grinding was clear to both the Third Master and Qin Ruan.

Qin Mei was both angry and annoyed, the Third Master was blatantly flirting with his sister in front of him.

If it were anyone else, he would definitely rush up, grab them by the neck, and beat them until they were searching for their teeth.
