Young Master Is Being Jealous Again!
Chapter 1208: The Birth of Little Princess Huo, Third Master Eager to Meet His Daughter

Chapter 1208: Chapter 1208: The Birth of Little Princess Huo, Third Master Eager to Meet His Daughter

Time slipped by, and more than three months had passed.

Huo Yunjiao showed no signs of waking up, and not only was Qin Ruan anxious day and night, but the entire Huo family shared her distress.

Old Master Huo, worried about his grandson’s health, had lost his appetite and, over time, had fallen ill.

These days, doctors constantly came in and out of the Huo Mansion, both for Old Master Huo’s condition and to pay close attention to Qin Ruan’s health.

Her due date was imminent, and the Huo family’s medical team was on standby at all times.

As Old Master Huo’s condition finally showed improvement by the end of November, the child in Qin Ruan’s womb arrived as expected.

The little princess of the Huo family was born to great anticipation.

Qin Ruan had chosen natural childbirth this time, and the process went very smoothly, without the terrifying complications of Huo Yao and Huo Anqi’s births.

Yet, the arrival of the Huo family’s treasure did not fill the mansion with laughter and joy.

The child’s father had been lying in bed for months, with no sign of awakening.

His health weakened by the day; if this continued, his body would not withstand the strain and would eventually stop breathing, silently greeting the approach of death.

After giving birth, Qin Ruan did not stay in the hospital for long, insisting on returning to the Huo Mansion the next day.

The Huo little princess was cared for by a nanny and servants at home because, out of selfishness, Qin Ruan refused to let Old Master Huo and Huo’s father name her daughter; she wanted to wait for Third Master to wake up and personally name their daughter.

She knew how much Huo Yunjiao was looking forward to their daughter’s birth.

The first snow of the winter came later than usual this year, following days of cold rain and a sudden drop in temperature.

That morning, as Qin Ruan awoke in bed, she looked through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room to see the ground covered in silvery white.

Snow had finally fallen.

The year’s first snow had arrived unexpectedly.

Qin Ruan lay in the warm comfort of her bed, her hand resting on the waist beside her, feeling the cool palm of the man.

"Third Master, it’s snowing; won’t you wake up in such cold weather? I always feel so cold in the room; I wish you could hold me."

She nestled her body close to Huo Yunjiao, whose eyes remained tightly shut, and closed her eyes, her voice husky with sleepiness.

As usual today, she received no response.

Qin Ruan cuddled the unresponsive man tenderly, speaking softly about her longing, telling him how well-behaved their daughter was, not as troublesome as the mischievous Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, mentioning that her birthday was fast approaching, and sharing the recent news of her sister-in-law Long Wei’s pregnancy.

She talked to herself until her mouth was dry, yet the man lying in bed remained indifferent.

Qin Ruan buried her head in Huo Yunjiao’s shoulder, her reddened eyes dry and sore from a lack of tears.

She composed her sinking spirits, got up to wash up in the bathroom, and then, as she had done every day for months, cleaned Huo Yunjiao’s face, wiped his body, and shaved his beard.

Such tasks could easily be left to the medical staff, but Qin Ruan never did.

She couldn’t bring herself to let others touch Huo Yunjiao; her possessiveness grew stronger deep inside.

As she wiped Huo Yunjiao’s body, Qin Ruan noticed his fingernails had grown quite long, thinking to trim them later.

A deliberately softened knock sounded at the door, tapping only twice before stopping.

As Qin Ruan was wiping Huo Yunjiao’s hands, pale like jade, the knock interrupted her.

She put down the towel in her hand, got up, and opened the door.

The servant waiting outside looked at Qin Ruan with an urgent expression, "Madam, the little miss won’t drink her milk, no matter how we coax her, she won’t open her mouth."

Qin Ruan pulled her sleeping robe tighter and stepped out of the room, closing the bedroom door behind her before heading to the child’s room next door.

With a slight frown, she asked in a deep voice, "Have you called the doctor? Is she feeling unwell?"

The Huo little princess had been born half a month ago and had been eating and sleeping well, much more behaved than her two brothers.

Because she had been caring for Huo Yunjiao, Qin Ruan rarely spent time with her daughter; the little princess never cried or fussed, her docile nature tugging at heartstrings.

The servant followed closely behind, "Someone has already gone to fetch Dr. Chen."

In the bedroom behind them, the person who had lain in bed for several months without any response, their distinctly-jointed fingers on the bedsheet moved slightly.

In the silent room, void of any presence, Qin Ruan had just missed this thrilling moment.

The pale fingers with palms facing down against the bedsheet struggled stiffly as if trying to make a fist.

But after months of inactivity, the beautiful fingers could only assume a claw-like position, utterly failing to form a fist.

Huo Yunjiao, lying in bed, didn’t open her eyes, and aside from moving her fingers, she showed no other reaction.

After a moment, the pale, beautiful hand gave up the struggle and lay still once more.

Qin Ruan walked to the children’s room, one servant ahead and one behind her, from where the sound of a child’s crisp voice could be heard.

"Ayao, does sister miss Mommy?"

Huo Anqi’s voice was adorably tender, tinged with concern and puzzlement for his little sister.

Huo Yao’s voice, feigning depth, followed soon after, "Why wouldn’t she miss Father? Mommy manages to see her every day."

Huo Anqi’s tone was dejected, "We don’t know when Father will wake up, I miss him too."

Huo Yao was silent for a moment, then bravely spoke to comfort his brother, "Father will wake up; we just have to be patient."

Standing outside the door, Qin Ruan peered through the crack and saw the two brothers inside the room, holding hands and peering over the crib at their little sister.

The already downcast Qin Ruan couldn’t help the sourness swelling in her heart, alongside a guilt she couldn’t ignore.

In the past few months, she’d paid far too little attention to Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, and the time spent with her daughter was extremely limited.

Now, seeing the three siblings together, Qin Ruan’s throat tightened under the weight of immense guilt, making it hard to breathe.

She took a deep breath, pushed the door open, and startled the quietly staring trio inside.

Huo Yao and Huo Anqi turned their heads upon hearing the noise.

Seeing Qin Ruan, the brothers’ faces lit up with surprise and joy, and bright smiles spread across their cheeks.

Huo Anqi: "Mommy!"

Huo Yao: "Mommy!"

Qin Ruan’s steps hurried and slightly frantic, she quickly made her way to the crib, first embracing her two sons, then lowering her gaze to her daughter who lay in the crib, with her large, sparkling black eyes wide open.

Litte Princess Huo had dense hair, and her chubby face was as adorable as a doll’s.

Her luminous large eyes were not identical to Qin Ruan’s, but they bore a resemblance, a lovely shape that blended her father’s peach blossom eyes with Qin Ruan’s fox-like eyes.

Upon seeing her mother, Little Princess Huo smiled, baring her teeth.

Accompanied by the sound of her sweet, milky laughter, it was enough to melt anyone’s heart.

Qin Ruan kissed each of her sons on the cheek, then set them down on the ground before reaching to pick up her little daughter.

She couldn’t resist bending down to kiss her daughter’s delicate, breakable cheek—a touch so soft, so fleeting.

Qin Ruan’s eyes gleamed with a smile, tenderly watching her daughter, she gently asked, "Anuan, why aren’t you drinking your milk?"

Little Princess Huo’s pet name, Anuan, was given by Qin Ruan.

A daughter is her parents’ treasured little cotton jacket, isn’t she? Warm and snug.
