Chapter 1183: Qin Ruan: Dare to touch my people, you’re looking for death!

Chapter 1183: Chapter 1183: Qin Ruan: Dare to touch my people, you’re looking for death!

Several members of the Huo Family’s Hidden Guard, standing inside the dilapidated church, felt the aura of fury and impatience emanating from Qin Ruan and instinctively began moving away from this dark and eerie place.

Unfortunately, they were still a step too late.

The dark red crucifix shrouded in cobwebs began to seep black blood, and the thick scent of rotting blood instantly spread.

"Bang!"

The ancient wooden doors of the church were slammed shut by an unknown force, creating a thunderous noise.

At the first sign of danger, the Hidden Guard reacted swiftly, using their bodies to shield Qin Ruan within a safe zone.

"Damn!" Qin Ruan took a deep breath, still unable to withhold a curse under her breath.

She was capable of protecting herself, but the guards by her side struggled to contend with whatever was hidden within the church.

Smelling the rot in the air, Qin Ruan lowered her voice and commanded, "No matter what I do next, your primary task is to save your own lives. This is an order! Did you hear me?"

Having said that, she didn’t wait for a response, pushed past the Hidden Guard in front of her, and headed straight for the red crucifix, her body faintly swirling with Nether Power.

"Hey, guys, there’s a little sweet thing coming our way today!"

A pure British accent echoed in the tense and silent church, originating from behind the red crucifix.

Upon hearing this, Qin Ruan halted her steps, her lips curling into a cold arc.

She covered her slightly bulging abdomen with one hand, and with her other arm raised, she launched an attack of Nether Divine Power toward the crucifix.

The Nether Power collided with the crucifix, a dull sound followed by a torrent of British curses.

"Fuck you!"

"You’re such a bitch!"

The red crucifix shattered under the impact of the Nether Power, revealing a barren storage room behind it, housing five or six pale-faced young men and women covered in dust.

Their distinct facial features, varying hair and eye colors, clearly showed they were not from the East.

The sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows fell on one corner of the storage room, landing on a tall, somewhat gaunt man.

Or more accurately, a vampire.

All the young men and women inside were vampires; their paper-white complexions and eerie glowing red eyes revealed their fangs in anger.

The sunlight-exposed man’s flesh became blurred and indistinct, as he emitted a hissing sound of pain and rapidly retreated.

"Bang!"

His speed of translocation was so fast that he crashed into the storage room walls, producing a dull thud.

"James!"

The other vampires in the dim room hurried over, shouting the unlucky vampire’s name.

James, standing in the sunlight outside the church, bared his fangs at Qin Ruan in anger and roared, "I’m going to slaughter you!"

Qin Ruan appeared disdainful, her tone mocking, "You don’t seem to have the ability."

She had realized when James avoided the sunlight that they were newly-created vampires who couldn’t stand in the sunlight; darkness was the environment where they thrived.

James, like a provoked hyena, was brimming with murderous intent; his blood-red eyes fiercely fixed on Qin Ruan, "Bitch!"

With an expressionless face, Qin Ruan retorted, "Hybrid!"

Her ears then filled again with the sound of the enemy’s curses, involving various organs, which were simply too vulgar to hear.

Qin Ruan ignored the useless clamor and looked down at the white shoes on her feet, which were stained with dust and a few drops of blood that were hard to notice unless one looked closely.

The dirt on her shoes reflected in her eyes, revealing an impatient look on her delicate face.

Perhaps because she was taken care of too well by Elder Huo at home, Qin Ruan had also developed some fastidious habits, which she had not had before in West City.

Huo Yunjiao was somewhat of a clean freak, and having lived with her for so long, Qin Ruan had also subtly inherited her cleanliness.

The pair of shoes on her feet had once been put on for her by Elder Huo himself, kneeling on the ground under everyone’s watchful eyes, their significance was extraordinary.

Now that they had been dirtied by some scoundrels, her mood was extremely foul.

And when her mood was spoiled, those who had spoiled it would have to pay a price.

Qin Ruan raised her eyes and looked towards the vampires hiding in the darkness, her eyes deep and inscrutable, and asked in fluent Western language, "Was it you who killed those seven people last night?"

The only female vampire frivolously asked, "Little bitch, are you here for revenge?"

Her words were in essence an admission that last night’s seven lives were connected to them.

Qin Ruan nodded amiably, appearing harmless and well-mannered, hardly looking like someone who was here for vengeance.

Yet, her voice cold as ice, she said, "You should pay for the innocent lives you took."

The hybrid vampire, whose burnt flesh from sunlight exposure had healed, pointed at Qin Ruan and laughed sarcastically, "Hahaha... Are you insane?"

The other vampires looked at Qin Ruan as one would look at a clown.

In their eyes, Qin Ruan was just an ordinary human.

Although vampires avoid sunlight during the day, they consider themselves superior to ordinary humans; they possess eternal life and the most deadly sharp fangs which can viciously penetrate the necks of their enemies, tearing them apart.

Qin Ruan, with her hands behind her back, made a gesture for the Huo Family Hidden Guards standing in front of the old wooden doors of the church to leave.

Previously miscalculating, since vampires cannot be exposed to sunlight, the Hidden Guards were safe, but having them leave to inform Cai Yongliang was the best choice.

Now that the culprits were identified, these vampires should be handled by the Tianxing Team.

Seeing Qin Ruan’s gesture, the Huo Family Hidden Guards went to pull the church door.

The female vampire hiding in the dim storeroom almost instantly appeared in front of the old wooden doors of the church.

Coincidentally, the spot where the door was located just blocked the sunlight shining through the stained glass into the church, leaving the female vampire unaffected.

Seeing the Hidden Guard in danger, Qin Ruan moved swiftly, leaving afterimages as she quickly reached the female vampire and knocked away the arm she stretched towards the nearest Hidden Guard.

"Dare touch my people, you’re looking for death!"

All this while, whenever Qin Ruan took people out, no Hidden Guard had ever been lost; having them follow her closely every time they left was just to ease the mind of the lord back home and prevent him from worrying about her.

Since these Hidden Guards followed her, they were her people.

Whether her people lived or died was naturally also in her hands.

Seeing her people at risk, the female vampire’s blood-red eyes blazed with anger, she bared her sharp fangs and reached out to grab Qin Ruan, "Bitch, I’m going to drain your blood!"

Qin Ruan agilely dodged the vampire’s touch, always careful to protect her abdomen with one hand.

If possible, she didn’t want to resort to violence as it could harm the child in her womb.

As the female vampire lunged at her again, Qin Ruan still did not strike back but emitted a powerful blow with the Nether Divine Power swirling around her just as the vampire was about to touch her.

The powerful force sent the female vampire flying like a spectacle and harshly smashing into the area within the church where the sunlight was strongest.

"AAAAHH!!!"

Screams of unbearable pain and utter misery filled the air.
