Chapter 1088: Sister Ruan’s Shocking Statement, Am I the Daughter of the Fengdu Great Emperor?

Chapter 1088: Chapter 1088: Sister Ruan’s Shocking Statement, Am I the Daughter of the Fengdu Great Emperor?

Qin Ruan grew more and more indignant, her cold gaze sharpening like a blade as she focused on the two Netherworld envoys supporting Hen Nianzhen, "When you return, find that stupid fool who self-destructed and throw it into the Nineteen Levels of Hell, Let it suffer both physically and mentally all the time!"

At this moment, the two Puppet Envoys showed no change in expression despite Qin Ruan’s mention of the Nineteen Levels of Hell.

One envoy stepped forward, folding his fists in salute, "We will report truthfully to the Underworld King and handle everything as Miss Qin instructed!"

The frustration in Qin Ruan’s heart alleviated slightly, and her gloomy and delicate face returned to normal.

In fact, she was just speaking out of anger when she mentioned the Nineteen Levels of Hell.

However, she didn’t expect the Puppet Envoys to take it seriously, which gave her an odd feeling.

Qin Ruan concealed the deeper meaning in her eyes and looked down at the remaining five ferocious puppets, enunciating clearly and grimly questioning, "Will you confess on your own, or shall I send you to the Nineteen Levels of Hell to endure all kinds of torture and then confess who’s behind you?"

"Umm..."

"Umm, umm..."

The five ferocious puppets struggled, their gaping mouths revealing faces twisted with urgency.

Qin Ruan flicked several strands of Nether Power from her fingertips into their souls, her voice harsh, "Dare to play tricks on me, and I’ll make sure you puppets suffer unbearably!"

The previously kicked ferocious puppet spoke with a hoarse and trembling voice, "I’ll talk, I’ll talk!"

Perhaps due to a long silence before speaking, the other’s voice was so hoarse it was bizarre, sounding more like an animal mimicking human speech.

Qin Ruan stared at him coldly, her gaze dark and inscrutable, "Speak!"

The ferocious puppet began, "It’s, it’s um..."

"Bang!"

Just as he spoke a few words, his soul exploded.

Just like the previously self-destructed ferocious puppet, not giving Qin Ruan a chance to react.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The next moment, four explosions burst forth.

Qin Ruan watched with her own eyes as all the spirits blew apart.

She was prepared when the latter four souls exploded, so she was not affected by the foul rotten smell and Evil Qi.

However, she realized that the latter five ferocious puppets did not self-detonate willingly, but were compelled by some force.

Qin Ruan’s normally inscrutable face suddenly darkened, releasing an aura so oppressive it seemed to suffocate living beings around her.

Sensing her displeasure and fury, one of the Puppet Envoys stepped forward and whispered, "Miss Qin, all these ferocious puppets were cursed, their souls will explode uncontrollably if they risk exposing their identity."

Qin Ruan discerned the veiled threat from the shadows and felt something was amiss.

Hearing the Puppet Envoy’s words, her eyes glinting ferociously, she glanced at him and asked, "How long would it take to find these spirits in the Netherworld?"

The Puppet Envoy replied truthfully, "Their spirits are incomplete, possibly wandering every corner of the Netherworld. There are millions of nameless spirits in the Netherworld; finding them is incredibly difficult and time-consuming."

A cold, sarcastic smile spread across Qin Ruan’s face as she looked at the spots where the six spirits had self-destructed, she scoffed lightly, "Planning to rule the Human Realm and recreate the glory of the Mortal World? Who are these delusional people, aren’t they afraid their tongues will crack in the wind?"

Yin and Yang are two paths, but they are ultimately intertwined.

After death, humans become puppets who can enter the reincarnation cycle of the six paths and may be reborn as humans, flora, fauna, or other living beings, all of which are under the jurisdiction of the Emperor of Fengdu, the Northern Yin Sovereign.

The secretive instigators’ dreams of ruling the Human Realm represented a challenge to the King of the Netherworld, a testament to fools rushing in where angels fear to tread.

Hen Nianzhen, having regained consciousness, floated towards Qin Ruan and knelt before her, "Thank you, Miss Qin, for saving my life, I will never forget this great kindness!"

Qin Ruan looked down coolly, her voice clear and unhurried, "The Ke family father and son are worried about you. See them to ease their minds."

Hen Nianzhen realized she was being tactfully sent away. She bowed deeply to Qin Ruan, then vanished from the spot, following Ke Zhibin’s qi to the reception room.

Qin Ruan glanced back at the two Puppet Envoys, her powerful aura unrestrained, a crushing presence rapidly spreading across the vast open-air terrace.

Under her icy gaze, the two Puppet Envoys guiltily lowered their heads, not daring to meet her piercing cold eyes.

Their nervousness caught Qin Ruan’s attention, she smiled slightly, her lips curving into a smirk that was both wicked and indifferent, yet somehow harmless.

Qin Ruan retracted the Golden Whip from the ground and walked lightly towards the Puppet Envoys.

She lifted the jaw of the left Puppet Envoy with the handle of her Golden Whip, exposing his pallid, eerie face.

Seeing his wide-eyed, terrified, and utterly panicked demeanor, Qin Ruan smiled and asked, "I heard that the ancient beasts Qiongqi and Taowu have entered the Netherworld. Is it lively down there?"

The trembling Puppet Envoy stammered, "Miss Qin, we’re just ordinary Underworld Envoys. The ancient beasts are suppressed in the Purgatory of Fengdu, guarded by Yin Soldiers, not something a humble puppet like myself could have access to."

"Is that so?" Qin Ruan smirked playfully, licking her lips with a suggestive tone, "I thought you might have had the chance to see the ancient beasts, I hear their flesh is quite delicious."

Her tone was suggestive, clearly ready to try it out.

The two Puppet Envoys’ faces turned pale in an instant.

Their already pale faces turned as white as paper.

Qin Ruan’s eyes curved into crescents as she spoke casually, "I was just kidding, just saying it casually, look how scared you guys are; anyone who didn’t know better would think I’ve done something to you."

The two Puppet Envoys immediately bowed, presenting a perfect ninety-degree angle as they said, "Miss Qin, please forgive us!"

"Forgive, forgive!" Qin Ruan waved her hand generously, then suddenly changed the subject, "Speaking of which, you guys are so polite to me; it makes me feel like I have some really impressive identity.

Come on, spill it, could it be that I’m the daughter of some big shot?"

She was clearly messing around, yet her nonsensical words indeed frightened the two Puppet Envoys.

Their bodies were already bent, almost wanting to kneel directly on the ground.

Qin Ruan grabbed their black robes, making the two Puppet Envoys stand up straight as she complained, "Stand up straight, even as an Underworld Envoy, you need to carry yourselves with some dignity; otherwise, people might think you are just humans pretending, trying to scare others for fun."

The Puppet Envoys gripped by Qin Ruan nodded incessantly, "Yes, yes... we will definitely remember this."

His pair of dark, almost white-less eyes dared not meet Qin Ruan’s gaze.

Qin Ruan, with one hand on her chin, brought the conversation back, "You still haven’t answered my question, is my identity really that significant?

Like, am I possibly the daughter of Fengdu Emperor left behind in the Mortal World? Or a relative of some ancient god? Or perhaps a rare Rakshasa that appears once every ten thousand years?"

The two Puppet Envoys wished they could self-destruct at hearing these unspeakable words from Qin Ruan’s mouth.

Their soul bodies trembled, their pale faces filled with panic and fear.

Qin Ruan was like a born ruler, with a powerful and commanding aura, staring down at their capitulation.

"Miss Qin, please spare them."

A familiar voice came from behind.

Qin Ruan’s expression did not change, but her gaze was chilling to the bone.

She slowly turned around, saw Black and White Impermanence behind her, flashed them a toothy smile, and said coolly, "You guys arrived at just the right time."

It was hard not to think too much as they arrived just when she was probing for information.

Black Envoy, his features stern and his body emanating a ferocious aura, bowed to Qin Ruan, "Miss Qin, we are here by the command of the Underworld King to inform you that there is a sacrificial ceremony being held in the Human Realm, the recently deceased and unrestful spirits in the Netherworld are overcrowded; please investigate and clarify the situation as soon as possible."

Qin Ruan, with her arms crossed, leaned on the railing in front of the balcony, her posture lazy and relaxed.

Her voice was frosty as she said, "The Underworld King is just penny-pinching, isn’t he? Why is everything handed over to me? The Netherworld has Ghost Envoys, Yin Soldiers, and numerous demon officials; why not let them investigate? Are all of you just freeloaders?"

Clearly mixed with longstanding anger, White Envoy, with his pale and striking countenance, revealed a bitter smile, "Miss Qin, it’s not that we don’t want to investigate, but the Human Realm and the Netherworld have avoided each other for billions of years. You are the Conductor chosen by the Underworld King for the Human Realm—it’s easier for you to handle many things."

Black Envoy, his solemn face grave and earnest, nodded in agreement, "Miss Qin, this matter is of great importance, if not stopped, many in the Human Realm will perish."

Qin Ruan’s arms tightened subconsciously around her arms as her lips moved, "Do you have any clues?"

Her tone was displeased yet somewhat conciliatory.

White Envoy, thoughtful, slowly said, "The sacrificial ceremonies are happening around the world, with the most noticeable movements domestically. Miss Qin, pay close attention to the locations of these incidents, and you might uncover clues about who is behind these sacrifices."

Qin Ruan’s gaze focused on him, light and seemingly in control of everything.

She nodded, then asked, "Anything else?"

Black Envoy added, "The boundaries between the Human Realm and the Netherworld are becoming thinner. Miss Qin, in the future, you might want to collect the wandering souls you encounter to prevent them from seizing the opportunity to cause trouble."

Qin Ruan nodded again, "Okay, anything else?"

The two envoys of Black and White shook their heads.

White Envoy gave Qin Ruan a friendly smile, "That’s all for now."

His eyes, chilled with a sinister light, glanced towards Qin Ruan’s stomach, a deep respect hidden in his gaze as his pale lips parted slightly, "Miss Qin, are you pregnant again? Take care of your health and avoid the invasion of Evil Qi."

Qin Ruan touched her stomach and sincerely thanked, "Thank you—"

Black and White Impermanence bowed deeply, their tone respectful, "If there’s nothing else, we shall take our leave."

Qin Ruan waved them off and walked back into the hall, out of sight, out of mind.

Just lackeys of the Underworld King, their conversations devoid of the information she sought to unearth.

Black and White Impermanence, pulling the two small Puppets, disappeared swiftly.

Before leaving, relief of having survived a disaster was evident on their faces.
