Chapter 1087: Ruanruan Furious, Abusing the Puppet, Cursing Like a Sailor!

Chapter 1087: Chapter 1087: Ruanruan Furious, Abusing the Puppet, Cursing Like a Sailor!

Donald sighed with relief for some reason at the words and nodded slightly to Huo Yunjiao, "I hope so. Once the Demon awakens, not only will humanity be threatened, but our Rasambo Family will also be the first to be forced into battle."

His handsome face revealed a faint smile, his overly delicate features almost unreal.

At that moment, hurried footsteps sounded from behind.

Huo Zhi quickly walked to Qin Ruan’s side and whispered a few words in her ear.

Qin Ruan’s expression remained unchanged, her tone indifferent, "I know, take them to the sitting room first."

"Yes—"

Huo Zhi took her leave.

Qin Ruan said to the man standing next to her, "The Ke father and son have arrived, I’ll go and see what’s the matter."

Their late-night visit must definitely concern something very important.

Huo Yunjiao’s dark eyes drooped slightly as he reached out to tuck a loose strand of Qin Ruan’s hair behind her ear.

His voice was soft, "Go ahead, I’ll head back soon."

Qin Ruan lifted her hand to grasp his that was placed on her cheek, gently pinching the palm, and urged, "There’s wind outside, go back early."

Under her worried gaze, Huo Yunjiao smiled in acknowledgement, "I know."

...

In the sitting room, Qin Ruan saw a disheveled Ke Zhibin and Ke Yiming looking shocked and frightened.

Upon seeing Qin Ruan enter, Ke Zhibin shot up from his seat, his steps frantic as he ran toward her.

He pleaded anxiously, "Madam Huo, please save Nianzhen!"

The image of Hen Nianzhen entangled with the six shadowy Puppets kept Ke Zhibin’s heart in his throat.

Qin Ruan’s brows rose slightly, her dark eyes cool, "Hen Nianzhen?"

Ke Zhibin nodded vigorously, speaking at a hurried and rapid pace, "Yes! We had a car accident on our way home tonight. Our legs weren’t trapped, but we just couldn’t move our bodies.

Then six Puppet shadows appeared, they pulled me and Yiming out of the car, circled around us without knowing what they were doing, and then Nianzhen showed up, and she fought those Puppets!"

Hearing the father and son also encountered a car accident, Qin Ruan’s expression grew solemn, her thoughts remarking on the high frequency of car accidents.

She asked with a frown, "Aside from the Puppet shadows, did any other unusual circumstances occur?"

Ke Zhibin thought for a moment and said, "I think they were absorbing our Yang energy. I was lying on the ground, completely weak and unable to resist."

"Their mouths... they had no tongues!"

Ke Yiming, still visibly shaken and seated, suddenly added.

Qin Ruan immediately thought of the Tongueless Puppets they had encountered on Wenshi Mountain Peak.

Her eyes coldly fixated on Ke Yiming, "They all had no tongues? Are you sure?"

"I’m sure, at the moment of near death, I clearly saw their grotesque features and their mouths wide open drawing Yang energy from my body, their gaping mouths were tongueless."

Ke Yiming’s face was ashen, and his speech continued with an uneasy shiver.

Qin Ruan’s calm eyes surveyed the father and son, scrutinizing them from head to toe.

She noticed Ke Zhibin and Ke Yiming’s aura was incredibly unstable, their Yang energy half devoured, tainted with a thread of thin Evil Qi.

Under Qin Ruan’s icy gaze, Ke Zhibin nervously swallowed, his face full of unease, asking, "Madam Huo?"

Qin Ruan stepped forward, her hand as beautiful as jade, flicking it in front of Ke Zhibin and gathering the thread of Evil Qi into her palm.

She did the same in front of Ke Yiming, wiping away the Evil Qi.

Her slender fingertips played with the two wisps of Evil Qi, asking the Ke father and son, "On which road did your car accident occur?"

Ke Zhibin immediately stated their location, going into detail about the number of traffic lights at the intersection.

Qin Ruan nodded, "I’ll go take a look, you two rest here for now."

She turned and left the sitting room, instructing Huo Zhi at the door, "Prepare the car, I’m going out."

"...Alright."

Despite a moment’s hesitation, Huo Zhi quickly nodded and left.

Qin Ruan knew her concerns and was also aware that today was the third master’s birthday, and she should be by his side.

Watching Huo Zhi depart, Qin Ruan spoke up again, "Wait—"

Huo Zhi stopped, turning and bowing her head, waiting for instructions.

Qin Ruan sighed softly, "It’s not necessary, I won’t go out tonight."

Not going out didn’t mean there were no other actions to take.

Qin Ruan went to the open-air balcony on the first floor, having Huo Zhi guard outside, not allowing anyone to approach.

She bathed under the moonlight, her red lips slightly moving as she spoke softly, "The ten Yamas order me to slay ghosts, imbue me with divine command, empower my slaughter, no god shall withstand, no ghost shall dare, the ten Yamas order swiftly like law, eliminate the evil!"

No sooner had she finished speaking than the air in the area twisted, instantly engulfed by darkness, with a chilling coldness encroaching.

From the darkness came two figures, carrying the thick Evil Qi of the Netherworld Puppet Envoys.

They bowed to Qin Ruan, "Miss Qin."

With a chilling gaze, Qin Ruan informed the two Puppet Envoys of the location of the Ke family’s car accident, commanding sternly, "Go and bring Hen Nianzhen over."

"Yes," the Puppet Envoy acknowledged, bowing before instantly vanishing from sight.

The dark mist dissipated, and the coldness faded from Qin Ruan’s delicate features.

She strolled forward, her hands resting on the railing as she looked up at the starlight in the sky.

Stars filled her already lustrous eyes, twinkling like the night sky.

Footsteps approached from behind, but Qin Ruan did not turn around.

She knew who it was—apart from the Third Master, Huo Zhi would not allow anyone else to come near.

Huo Yunjiao, with his coat draped over one arm, approached Qin Ruan with steady steps. He placed the coat over her shoulders, embracing his delicate wife from behind, and asked with a gentle voice, "What happened?"

His voice was clear and restrained, filled with an unspoken concern and care.

Qin Ruan relaxed against him, her posture lazy and casual.

She didn’t want to say a word, merely shaking her head gently.

Seeing Qin Ruan’s spirits down, Huo Yunjiao wrapped his arms around her waist and stayed silent, not wishing to disturb her, and quietly enjoying the warmth of the moment together.

The couple, bathed in moonlight, created a serene and beautiful atmosphere.

However, such peaceful moments are always prone to interruption, and Qin Ruan felt the coldness and Evil Qi creeping closer in the air.

She stepped out from the Third Master’s embrace, her hand on his chest, her beautiful brows slightly furrowed as she spoke softly, "I have some matters to attend to. You’re not well; don’t expose yourself to the Evil Qi. Why don’t you head upstairs first?"

Huo Yunjiao’s amiable eyes looked toward the darkness, where three trembling silhouettes hovered.

His sensually alluring, thin lips curled into a subtle smile as he tenderly said to Qin Ruan, "Alright, I’ll be waiting for you upstairs."

He reached out to adjust the coat on Qin Ruan’s shoulders, then turned and left.

Before departing, Huo Yunjiao cast one more warning glance into the darkness, the returning chill on his gorgeous face was akin to that of an Asura emerging from Hell.

Qin Ruan, with her arms folded, was oblivious to the Third Master’s discreet gaze.

Her exquisite and stunning face turned cold due to the Puppet Envoy’s return.

After Huo Yunjiao’s departure, Qin Ruan beckoned to the three Puppets hidden in the darkness, "Come here—"

Two Puppet Envoys floated over slowly, leading Hen Nianzhen.

The three Puppets respectfully greeted her, "Miss Qin!"

Qin Ruan, seeing that Hen Nianzhen was unharmed and that her Puppet Power had grown since their last meeting, walked up to her and asked with a voice cold and clear, "Did you win or lose?"

Hen Nianzhen, lips pursed in a smile, with a proud look on her well-maintained face from a life well lived, boasted delightedly, "I won, I devoured them all!"

Observing her cocky demeanor, Qin Ruan slightly raised her brows, scrutinizing her up and down.

After a long look, her lips curled into a faintly cold smirk, "It seems you’re doing quite well in the Netherworld."

Hen Nianzhen’s face was full of joy, and she winked at Qin Ruan, lowering her voice, "I have you to thank for that; otherwise, how could I have such good days down there? Life in the Netherworld is much more carefree than in the Mortal World!"

The two Puppet Envoys acted as if they heard nothing, surely overlooking Hen Nianzhen’s blatant boasting before them.

After all, with her backing, they had to look out for her in the depths.

Qin Ruan’s lips curved into a smile, yet the laughter did not reach her eyes.

Her gaze was placid and alienated, with a hint of coolness.

The oppressive atmosphere became too intense, and Hen Nianzhen’s face, previously filled with laughter, now tightened, her dark eyes churned with a dense mist.

Just as she was about to strike, Qin Ruan grabbed Hen Nianzhen by the hair and pulled her face close, swiftly pressing a finger against her forehead.

Six dark shadows suddenly burst out from her body.

Their faces twisted viciously, their bodies emanating the aura of notorious killers, surrounded by an ominous red mist, clearly having claimed countless lives.

Hen Nianzhen’s soul grew weak, her Puppet Power greatly diminished, and her ghostly form began to waver as if ready to dissipate.

This sudden turn of events made the Netherworld envoys’ already pale faces even more unsightly, never imagining the day they themselves would be deceived by a Puppet.

Qin Ruan tossed Hen Nianzhen’s soul to the Puppet Envoy and conjured a Golden Whip wreathed in Nether Power in her hand, lashing it towards the six darting Puppet shadows.

The Golden Whip struck with unstoppable force, eliciting hoarse screams from the Puppet Monsters; the piercing noise was shrill and harsh.

Qin Ruan’s expression was fierce and merciless, the smile on her face so chilling that the Puppets shivered. She looked down from her superior position at the six ensnared souls, her fingertips glowing faintly with the Power of the Nether Soul.

Her gaze focused on the most violently struggling Puppet Monster as she probed its soul with her hand wielding the Nether Power.

Then, bending down, she forcefully grasped its jaw, revealing the intact tongue inside.

Qin Ruan’s eyes flashed with malevolence as her voice dropped to an almost sinister coldness, "Who ordered you to take lives? Who is the person standing behind you?"

The fiendish-looking Tongueless Puppet sneered contemptuously at Qin Ruan, shouting, "Heaven bless our clan! Our clan is destined to reign over the Human Realm, to forge a new glory in the Mortal World!"

No sooner had the words left its mouth when a loud bang erupted.

The Puppet had self-destructed!

Qin Ruan, splattered with Evil Qi and reeking of decay, could hardly stand the foul stench.

Annoyed, Qin Ruan kicked the nearest ferocious Puppet, cursing, "Damn it!"

To explode was one thing, but to leave her in such a wretched state was another.

The remaining five tightly bound Puppets trembled, trying their best to make themselves less noticeable.
