Chapter 1001: Chapter 1001: Someone is Pursuing Sister Ruan, Third Master, Do You Know?
Ahui quickly waved his hand, "Brother Ziqiu himself is in trouble, still lying in bed. By the time he gets here, the amaranth will have gone cold, and it might even alarm the Fu Family. Then none of us would be able to escape."
Besides visiting relatives and paying New Year’s calls, they had come to Capital City primarily to see Fu Ziqiu.
Before the New Year, something had happened to him in Sea City. Rumor had it he had offended some big shot and was taken back to Capital City by the Fu Family to apologize, and his days were not easy. As his brothers, they felt they had to check on him.
One of the women pointed at the Qin Family, her words dripping with disdain, "Look at them, they don’t seem like they come from a respectable family. It shouldn’t be a big problem, it’s just a match. What are you afraid of?"
"Ignorance! Haven’t you seen the people around those siblings? They have definitely seen blood," Ahui said, and then pointed at the three Rolls-Royces parked not far away, "Look at those cars. Each one has the same emblem engraved on it, like some family crest. Do ordinary families have such rituals?"
On the way here, Ahui had been over many things in his mind, and thinking back now, he still felt a chill.
Yin Tianlin, leaning inside the car, heard their noisy chatter and frowned tightly, asking coldly, "What are you babbling about?"
Ahui hid the worry on his face and approached with a smile, saying solicitously, "Brother Tianlin, if Brother Ziqiu gets anxious waiting, he’s sure to get angry again. How about we meet up with those siblings another day?"
This young master had a big temper; he could only be cajoled, not confronted.
Ahui didn’t dare to share his previous speculations with him, firstly, because Yin Tianlin wouldn’t believe anything that wasn’t confirmed.
Furthermore, even if the other party did know, given his understanding of the young master’s fearless character, it was unlikely he could persuade him.
Yin Tianlin took a drag on his cigarette, leaned forward, and exhaled the swirling smoke onto the other’s face with a cold laugh, "You’re caving in just like that?"
Ahui stepped back and offered a conciliatory smile, thinking of his welfare, "How could I? I was just worried it would affect your brotherhood with Brother Ziqiu."
Yin Tianlin hummed softly, "That kid flipped you the bird as a sign he wanted to beat your ass. You’re aware of that, aren’t you?"
Ahui quickly replied, "It wasn’t me who provoked them first, and I was in the wrong to start this. I know Brother Tianlin, you were just trying to blow off steam on my behalf. After all, Capital City isn’t our turf, and if something does happen, it won’t be easy to resolve."
Yin Tianlin laughed, and it was quite a charming laugh.
He spoke disdainfully to Ahui, "Who says I’m doing this for you!"
"What?" Ahui was taken aback, "Then Brother Tianlin, why are you?"
Yin Tianlin looked towards the Qin Family’s gate, a peculiar gleam in his eyes, "Did you see the woman with that kid? Doesn’t she look fierce? Just like a wild cat, with her claws tightly hidden."
Ahui’s eyes widened, "What the hell?"
He resisted the urge to pick his ear, staring in disbelief at Yin Tianlin leaning inside the car.
The latter, with a cigarette in his mouth, muttered unclearly, "I’ve taken a fancy to her!"
In contrast to his earlier domineering attitude, Yin Tianlin’s gaze was somewhat evasive now.
"Damn it!" Ahui had been holding it in, but finally couldn’t help cursing.
Yin Tianlin’s eyes narrowed, his expression not very pleasant, "Who the fuck do you want to cross? Got a problem?"
"No, absolutely not, I just slipped!" Ahui quickly waved his hand.
How could he dare to object to this matter? Even if he had any objections, he couldn’t voice them.
Recalling the previous scene, Ahui said with puzzlement, "Brother Tianlin, if you are interested in that girl, how come you didn’t even look at her properly before?"
Yin Tianlin flicked the cigarette butt out of the car and glared at Ahui, "None of your business, get lost!"
Ahui, sharp-eyed, noticed the redness spreading over his ears and covered his mouth to laugh.
Yin Tianlin, flustered and exasperated, shouted, "Laugh your ass off! Go stomp out that cigarette butt."
"Got it!" Ahui went over to the glowing cigarette butt and ground it out with the tip of his shoe.
Just then, the roar of a sports car erupted from the Qin Family.
Yin Tianlin and Ahui, among others, looked in that direction.
Qin Mei zoomed out in a McLaren Speedtail.
Ahui let out an exclamation when he saw the sports car driving out, "Holy shit! That’s so freaking cool!!!"
Even Yin Tianlin, who was sitting in the car, couldn’t help but stick his head out, his eyes glued to Qin Mei’s car, admiration and fondness apparent in his gaze.
Qin Mei slid the car next to Yin Tianlin’s, rolled down the window, and said with a cocky smile, "Kid, shall we go?"
Yin Tianlin’s gaze moved past him to Qin Ruan, who was sitting in the driver’s seat with arms crossed.
She was resting with closed eyes, not even sparing him a glance.
Yin Tianlin raised his eyebrows and said to Qin Mei with a smirk, "Your car’s not bad."
It was as if Qin Mei had been complimented on his own good looks, his face beaming with pride, "No shit, it’s last year’s latest limited-edition top-tier sports car, you can’t even find a fourth one in the world."
Ahui circled around the sports car, his eyes brimming with amazement, his look akin to that of beholding a peerless beauty.
Most of the others around felt the same, all car enthusiasts, they knew very well the value of Qin Mei’s sports car, an exotic that money alone couldn’t buy.
Yin Tianlin gritted his teeth, started his car, and snorted at Qin Mei, "Are you leading the way?"
Qin Mei gave a devilish smile, looking particularly mischievous, "Just try to keep up, kid, and don’t get scared off!"
The moment he finished speaking, his car shot out.
Yin Tianlin took a deep breath, shouted to the people outside the car, "What are you waiting for? Follow me!"
He stepped on the gas pedal, accelerating to catch up quickly.
The mountain road.
This road used to be bustling, often attracting young playboys from wealthy families.
But tonight, it was unusually quiet. When Qin Mei, Yin Tianlin, and the others arrived, they parked their cars directly at the starting line.
Qin Ruan saw Huo Zhi and company arrive with Yin Tianlin through her rearview mirror.
She got out of the car and before closing the door, she leaned in to admonish an extremely excited Qin Mei, "Second Brother, just go easy, I’ll be following behind you."
At the mention of her joining in, the smile on Qin Mei’s face faded.
He frowned disapprovingly and said, "It’s really dangerous when you’re actually racing, don’t just join in for the fun of it."
Qin Ruan laughed subtly, her smile faint, "You know it’s dangerous; my driving skills are decent, I’ll definitely keep up as long as you don’t go all out."
Qin Mei’s grip on the steering wheel tightened; he had intended to let loose and have fun, but he shelved the idea of indulging himself after hearing her words.
He rubbed his face and said with concern, "Then be careful of those guys, who knows if they’ll try to pull something behind the scenes."
"Got it, you be careful too," she replied.
Qin Ruan waved her hand at him and turned to leave.
Yin Tianlin’s car was parked next to Qin Mei’s. He watched Qin Ruan leaving the car, his dark eyes following her.
Ahui, sitting in the silver-grey 911 to his right, saw this and rolled down his window to whisper a reminder, "Brother Yin, if you’re thinking about pursuing that girl, aren’t you going to have to go easy on the kid later?"
It was well known that Yin Tianlin had previously participated in a race held by a famous club abroad, where he won second place; the champion was a world-renowned racer, which spoke volumes about his own skills.
Upon hearing this, a conflicted expression appeared in Yin Tianlin’s eyes as he genuinely considered Ahui’s suggestion.
His gaze lingered on Qin Ruan, who was now talking to Huo Zhi.
Seeing Qin Ruan boarding the Rolls-Royce as the driver, Yin Tianlin turned to ask Ahui, "What would happen if I don’t go easy?"
His tone was serious and a bit awkward, making it particularly amusing.
Ahui smirked and teased him, "If you don’t go easy, wouldn’t that mean you’ll be offending your future brother-in-law.
Yin Tianlin clenched the steering wheel tightly, his complexion grim, an air of dejection surrounding him.
