Chapter 233: The Door to the Past - Soaring Above the Sky_3

"Exactly, you dunce Kera, thinking that only Legendary Rank enemies would fly out from the Windy Layer." Tiya quickly chimed in.

"Damn it, of course I know that." Christo’s green face turned a shade of red, he stubbornly retorted, "Can’t I pose a bit? Dillie, let’s move down."

With the brief nose dive of the scorpion-tailed lion, the vehicle quickly dropped below the Windy Layer. In the distance night sky, a large amount of black dots was clearly visible, densely covering the sky.

"Wow, there must be around eight hundred of them." Christo exclaimed as he raised his Crystal Energy gun, after a slight pause, he called out, "Ready to feel the wrath of the goblins, you damned skeletons?"

The Crystal Energy gun fired with a "bang", a ball of light spewed from the muzzle. No, it wasn’t just one ball of light that fired, as soon as the ball spurted out, several hundreds of identical light balls appeared concurrently within the range horizontally and vertically, like mirages, appearing out of nothing with this shot. They flew towards the incoming skeleton griffins, leaving nearly a hundred streaks of light in the air.

"That’s interesting indeed." Kyle and Nellie stood side by side, Kyle turned to Nellie, saying, "Both are Illusion Magic, both make reality of fallacy, Antuin applies it on himself, toggling between real and unreal, while Christo uses it on his offense, turning the fake mirage of his energy bullets into reality. The techniques of these illusionists are truly peculiar."

"It’s too gorgeous." Maya and Tiya clapped with excitement, jumping and yelling. What they and everyone else observed was that Christo didn’t need to aim at all, continuously firing in dozens of barrages, each time consisting of two to three hundred bullets - there were thousands of light balls roaring towards the undead. The undead, whose form could be vaguely seen, were continuously struck by the light balls. Every light ball that hit its target exploded into a big ball of bright light, particularly conspicuous in the night sky, it indeed resembled the fireworks set off by the goblins during festivals.

Having been barraged by the energy bullets, the count of the eight hundred undead rapidly decreased. After the intensive rain of light balls had passed, merely less than twenty were left flying.

"You’re too naughty, little Kera." Maya and Tiya, hand in hand, said, "Using life attribute energy bullets to kill death attribute undead, like shooting fish in a barrel."

"You guys forced me to do it." Christo complained, "Just because you wanted to see the fireworks."

"Haha, you found out about us." The two Winged Girls had no intention of disguising their plan, chuckling, "See, you’ve indeed become a bit smarter after your exercise."

"Wait a moment, leave the rest for now." Noticing that Christo was about to raise his Crystal Energy gun again to finish off the remaining few, Nellie held Christo’s hand, with her eyes locked on the only one surrounded by the remaining undead. Having been washed over by the energy bullets, this undead, being visibly larger than the others, was unscathed. A faint aura of pressure emanated from it, "A demigod undead, it’s mine."

The speed of flight was very fast. In the blink of an eye, the distance between both sides shrunk to less than a hundred meters. Nellie’s spear-holding hand tightened, her afterimage remained on Dillie’s back, but her body appeared at where her eyes had targeted. Her four-meter lance had precisely struck the raised forelimb bones of the skeleton griffin.

With a miss, Nellie fell downwards, but the prepared Nellie promptly shifted her gaze and initiated the Charge skill. Her body, from bottom to top, shattered a surviving undead. Borrowing its final strength before death, she once again changed directions towards the core skeleton griffin.

For those who were watching the battle, Nellie looked like a butterfly, gracefully dancing in the air around the demigod undead. Although she couldn’t fly per se, the accurate adjustment of power and clever use of occupation skills allowed her to maintain a floating state. Her continuous attacks showed no signs of stopping.

No, the continuous attacks did stop. After dozens of seconds of aerial combat, Nellie and the skeleton griffin had clashed with each other hundreds of times. When the attack ceased, Nellie’s lance was deeply embedded in the undead’s skull. The Soul Fire flickering in the griffin’s eye sockets slowly dimmed, and finally completely went out. A smile crossed Nellie’s face, at the same moment she fired a skill, she had already returned to Dillie’s side in mid-air, catching the hand that Kyle had passed at the appropriate angle and time.

"We see the ’Wound of the Earth’." Dillie’s gigantic form boomed out, "The destination is nearly upon us."
