"Holy Word Technique, Holy Wall." The third Holy Wall was released from Lina’s hands, again replacing the precarious previous shield. For the clergy, the Holy Word Technique and its advanced version, the Divine Oracle Spell, are a type of divine spell that consumes a great deal. Moreover, the Holy Wall is a high-end protective divine spell in the Holy Word technique, which consumes a considerable amount of mana and vitality. A Gold Rank clergy, without the use of a recovery potion, can at most release eight to ten times before running out of mana. Even if they take a mana recovery potion, they will fall into a coma or a trance after about twelve continuous releases, temporarily losing their ability to cast spells. Lina has already used the Holy Wall three times and a similar consumption of Exorcism once, conservatively estimated that she has used up half of her mana. However, the shadows outside are not lessening and continue to rushing towards the Holy Shield.

Pannis did not worry too much. He looked around, walked to Vivian who had been standing dumbly in the middle, took out a notebook from Vivian’s backpack, flipped it casually, and began to make a new record on the latest page.

"This undead is a little stronger than the ordinary Wraith, but it hasn’t reached the level of Upper Rank Dead Souls. What grade can it be considered?" Pannis held the notebook and said, biting his nails.

"Let’s say it’s a Wraith." Lina is the person on the field who is second only to Pannis in terms of familiarity with the undead. At this point, she finished her casting, wiped her sweat, and said, "I feel like it is a mutation of a wraith."

"It seems to be formed by the fusion of Wraith and the fog from the Death Fog Sea. You see, they and the fog are completely one." Pannis lowered his head and began to write: "Let’s call it the Fog Spirit."

"Good name." Catherine also came over, planted the Falcon Shield on the ground, and waved her palm to fan her face: "What is the origin of these things, Elrad?"

"I don’t know." Elrad looked very pale and extremely nervous: "We don’t have time to study this question right now. These things seemed endless, unless she can hold on until six o’clock tomorrow morning. Otherwise, we will still be attacked by these monsters in a while. We should be figuring out what to do now."

"Just wait." Pennis finished the last entry, closed the notebook and answered: "Just be patient and wait."

"Wait?" Elrad said loudly unhappily: "Wait for these monsters to leave? How long do we have to wait?"

"Wait until now." Vivian, who had been standing silently with her eyes closed, suddenly opened her eyes. At the moment when her eyes opened, Pannis seemed to see a fleeting trace of magical energy jumping in her eyes: "Don’t worry, I’m ready, it’s my turn."

"You shed darkness, so you are called brightness." Vivian stretched out her glowing index finger with a solemn expression, drawing an ideographic magic character representing brightness in the void in front of her. As she wrote, it seemed like the light on her finger shed little by little, stayed in the air, and formed a phantom character with light, which gradually became solid and floated in front of Vivian. Five meters behind the character, an identical image also transitioned from being illusory to solid inside the thick fog and floated in the air as well.

"You despise the cold, so you are called heat." Vivian turned her body 60 degrees on the spot and wrote the second magic character, representing temperature. The same situation happened again, the second character formed in the fog five meters away.

"You expel humidity, so you are called dryness." She turned another 60 degrees, and the magic character representing humidity appeared next to Vivian and also in the fog five meters away.

"You reject paleness, so you are called Red." Vivian turned the third 60 degrees, her left hand hidden in the sleeve of her robe, her fist clenched, the glow of the Crystal Stone slightly exposed from the seams of her fingers. After taking a deep breath, Vivian’s index finger moved again, and the fourth magic character representing color appeared.

"You cannot be indifferent, so you are called passion." Vivian turned the fourth 60 degrees, the magic character representing innate traits appeared in the fog. The bright letters composed of light flickered constantly in the air, dazzling in its brightness and darkness.

"You despise docility, so you are called violent." The last 60-degree turn, the character representing external performance was full of violent and frantic aura, as if every flicker was about to break the surrounding fog.

Six magic characters and their projections formed two regular hexagons, enclosing all the team members in the middle. What was strange was that the magic characters placement five meters away in the dense fog should have been obscured by the fog, but every one of them could clearly see these characters through the fog, of course, they could only see these characters.

After writing the six magic characters, Vivian’s body swayed slightly. As she reached out her hand, she happened to grab Pannis’s extended arm. Vivian blinked her eyes, showed Pannis a mature smile that was not in line with her age, nodded her head slightly in thanks, then took a deep breath again, and her eyes flickered with fleeting magical energy once again.

"You despise everything in the mortal world, so your name represents destruction." Vivian’s voice suddenly rose, her right hand raised, her index finger wrote the most complicated magic character above her head. After writing seven characters, Vivian’s sweat on her face looked as if someone had splashed a bucket of water on her face, the sweat rolled down continuously, wetting her robe. It was only then that she finally had time to wipe the sweat off her face, clutched her knees and panted heavily for a while, and then straightened her waist, tried to spread her arms wide, and chanted loudly: "At this point, the control is completed."

With the end of the chant, the frequency of the seven magic characters next to Vivian gradually synchronized. The arc-shaped light line connected the adjacent magic characters horizontally. After forming a ring, it sequentially connected with the characters overhead, eventually forming a semispherical light shield, enveloping Vivian within.

Vivian looked at the spherical light shield covering herself and smiled slightly. She touched the light shield with her fingers and murmured: "Vivian’s Arcane, Fire Elemental Domain."

With a "plop," the light barrier around her and the energetically scribbled text collapsed simultaneously, shattering like a bubble, completely vanishing. Almost at the same instant, in the same linking method, a similar light barrier appeared in the external fog on the projection of the magical text, expanding from only being able to envelop Vivian herself to covering a radius of about five meters in an instant. It not only wrapped up all the members of the group but also included a large amount of the exterior space.

"Fog is water vapor, which forms when the humidity gets high enough," Vivian said weakly as she clung to Catherine, "Since these fog monsters thrive in the fog, they must fear a hot and dry environment. As long as we maintain this domain, we will be safe."

Catherine sighed, picked up Vivian in her arms, and whispered to her, "Don’t push yourself so hard next time, your body..."

"Hehe." Vivian interrupted her embraced around Catherine’s neck, whispering back, "If it were you, would you not have pushed yourself? Hehe, you’re not very convincing, you know. But don’t worry, I’m just a little tired, it’s not affecting my health."

"Hmm, I hope that’s the case." Catherine was left speechless and could only huff unhappily in response after a while.

A minute after the Fire Elemental Domain stabilized, the steamy fog within it disappeared at a blistering speed, returning the domain’s interior to a visible state. Towering trees, entangling vines, low shrubs, everything looked no different from before the fog emerged. The moment the fog dissipated, everyone heard a series of mournful screams. Countless Fog Spirits howled as they were reduced to nothing with the fog.

Lina tentatively cancelled the Holy Wall, and indeed as Vivian had anticipated, no magical beasts or Fog Spirits intruded upon the Fire Elemental Domain, and the team finally had a temporary respite.

"That was nerve-wracking." A Mud Mouse gasped and squawked, "I felt like we were stuck in the fog for years, but it was actually less than fifteen minutes."

"This domain has a time limit though." Elrad moved a couple of steps, leaning on a tree, "What do we do now?"

"Can you distinguish directions based on the current field of view?" Vivian enquired, "This domain is centered around me and can be moved at will, lasting one hour. If we can figure out the direction, we can walk straight out."

"Can’t make out the direction with just five meters of sight." Elrad shook his head: "At least, I can’t."

"Give me a second." Pannis lengthened the safety rope at his waist and went to the edge of the domain, abruptly charging out of the domain’s protection range. The three girls in the adventure team frowned simultaneously but remained silent, only silently watching Pannis’s actions. A minute later, Pannis suddenly reappeared out from the fog. His swordsman suit was off and held in his hand, revealing his upper body with four or five shallow wounds, but his face was relaxed: "I’ve found the direction."

"Impossible." Elrad’s face was full of surprise and disbelief: "How did you do that?"

"This way." Pannis estimated the angle using the taut safety rope, and pointed in a direction, "Thank god we are very close to the periphery, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to figure it out either. Actually, it is quite simple, just sense the humidity in the environment. Once you get close to the periphery, with each meter you move, there will be a very subtle change in the air’s humidity. As long as you can sense this difference, it’s easy to tell which direction is closest to the outside of the Misty Forest."

No one spoke up. They all looked at Pannis as if he were some kind of creature, and Pannis could only let out a dry laugh: "Just a small trick explorers like me know, that’s all."

"Right." Dora waved away the thoughts in her head: "Let’s get moving then."

Pannis led the way dragging the tightened rope on the ground, letting it out as they progressed, maintaining a straight line. Once he had let out all the rope, he would stop in place, reel in the majority of the rope and repeat what he had done before. After repeating this procedure less than ten times, a hole appeared in the fog about five meters out, through which they could faintly see the outside scenery.

Everyone let out a cheer of joy and arranged themselves in a defensive formation; then slowly moved in the direction of the hole. Indeed, as they broke through the fog, their sights broadened. What came into view was a chasm fifty meters deep, about ten meters wide, dividing the dense forest into two. Sunlight beamed down from the sky above, and its noon rays chased away the humidity on their bodies.

"Sunlight!" Lina looked up and allowed the sunlight to bathe her face: "I finally see the sunlight again."

"Let’s go." Pannis patted Lina’s back: "Cross over the canyon and go into the forest on the other side to set up camp. This place isn’t so safe. In a few hours, the bats in the canyon will come out. Hundreds of thousands of bats can devour everything."

"Alright." Lina sighed regretfully, and reluctantly took a step forward.
