Chapter 1551: Chapter 337: It Seems I Won Again

Pannis was not just embracing Nellie simply; it appeared to be only a hug, but in reality, he had mobilized all his Aggression to strengthen his physical strength, enabling him to tightly restrict Nellie’s movements, or rather, to keep himself from being immediately thrown off by Nellie. Pannis’s unexpected action caused Nellie’s instincts to freeze on the spot for two seconds, her emotionless mind unable to comprehend the significance of Pannis’s behavior. However, that was the limit of Pannis’s bizarre assault; after two seconds, Nellie had snapped out of her daze, her cold gaze slowly turning to face Pannis, who was almost cheek to cheek with her.

"Uh, I won the first round, you know, and you’re not allowed to back out when you wake up," Pannis said, facing Nellie’s indifferent gaze with a brilliant smile. He lightly bit the knight’s nose, saying with a grin, "So, now onto the second round."

"Bang", the next moment, a crimson mist rapidly dispersed in the air, limbs, body fragments, and torn organs scattering in all directions.

In fact, facing Pannis’s three-limb restraint, Nellie did nothing but fill herself with Divine Power, then suddenly expanded outward, colliding head-on with the Aggression that Pannis was using to bind her. If she had been using the Aggression available to mortals, her action would have been a manifestation of the Aggression Shield. However, she was not using Aggression, but a deity’s power, resulting in effects far beyond a simple stir of Aggression.

The first collision between a mortal’s Aggression and a deity’s Divine Power occurred. On one side was Pannis, a Demigod who had twice reached the Demigod Rank, far surpassing other mortals in understanding, controlling, and storing energy. On the other side was Nellie, who had transcended mortal creatures, possessing a perfect Divine Body and executing the authority of a transitional deity. The energies collided without any buffer, creating an energy storm throughout the space. The outcome of the collision lacked suspense; even the highest power controlled by mortal beings could not compare to the power of a deity. The moment the two energies touched, the victor was clear. The energy restraining Nellie could not hold for even a second, exploding like a popped balloon. The powerful Divine Power transformed into a wild energy storm, beginning to wreak havoc around, and as for Pannis, who was holding onto Nellie and one of the sources of energy, he suffered an indistinguishable fate the moment his energy was blown apart by Nellie. His body, like a balloon, burst open, sending various sizes of flesh and corpse fragments flying, leaving no one able to discern from these pieces that they once formed a complete person.

Blood and flesh splattered everywhere, filling the air with a pungent smell, but Nellie’s body remained untouched by even a single drop of blood. The explosive energy had blown all the flesh and blood outward, enough to keep her body clean. No, not a single drop had touched her, except, on the knight’s ordinary face, a drop of fresh blood was slowly sliding down her cheek. No one knew how this drop of blood had managed to move through the furious energy and splatter onto her face, but it was indeed there, marking a vivid red trail on her unusually pale face due to centuries without sunlight, adding a somewhat eerie look to her.

Seemingly sensing the foreign object on her face, Nellie casually wiped her face, then looked down at the red mark stained by blood on the back of her hand. The knight’s gaze flickered imperceptibly, and the arm that wiped her face paused slightly, but the next moment, these disturbances had already vanished, with Nellie, under instinctual control, regaining her indifferent expression and her movements resuming the alertness from moments ago.

"Hmm?" still under instinctual control, the knight let out a light hum, showing a rare confusion, because she realized that although the enemy that had posed a threat to her had turned into pieces, the sense of threat had not disappeared. Instead, the situation seemed to have become more troublesome. While the threat initially emanated only from the enemy, now that the enemy had been blown apart, the source of the threat seemed to have multiplied, with a strong sense of danger emanating from every corner.

Instinct was, after all, just instinct. It lacked the ability to ponder overly complex issues and could only react simplistically to external stimuli. Now, when the signals from the outside world exceeded the understanding capability of instinct, it failed to make accurate judgments, and could only look around in confusion. Naturally, no enemies were visible around; only body parts thrown into the air losing their momentum, beginning to fall in sequence and striking the ground with loud thuds.

"Something’s not right." Nellie’s instincts suddenly pinpointed a critical issue, although the sense of threat emanated from all directions, the most intense threat came from one direction—the back.

Nellie’s body swiftly turned around, but by then it was too late.

Not far behind Nellie, space subtly distorted for a moment as Pannis emerged silently from the shadows, unscathed and showing no signs of ever being blown apart. The first thing he did upon his return was to reach out and catch a piece of a corpse flying towards him—his own piece. On closer inspection, it was his own right thigh; the clothes had long been blown to ashes by the fierce energy, but the deep, long scar on the thigh, left by some means, still proclaimed its original identity and location.

While catching his thigh, under the rules’ influence, the corpse pieces, flesh, and blood stains began rapidly disappearing as if they had never existed. This included the piece in Pannis’s hand: he barely had time to contemplate his own remains before the hefty thigh in his palm began to fade, eventually turning into a wisp of air and vanishing completely.

However, unlike the many previous deaths, this time something was left behind; as the thigh in Pannis’s palm turned into nothingness, an emerald arrow, the Hunting Arrow, emerged from the disappearing thigh and landed in Pannis’s hand.

"Round two begins." Pannis was clearly prepared for the reappearance of the Hunting Arrow. The moment the arrow appeared, his figure flashed, abruptly positioning himself behind Nellie. At this time, Nellie had just realized the problem and swiftly turned around. As soon as she did, she saw Pannis, wielding the Hunting Arrow, appear before her. The arrow pierced towards her eye as he spoke, his voice light yet triumphant, "Looks like I win this round too."
