World After Worlds -
Chapter 359 - 359: § IGNORING HIM §
Kraig had to disperse the unimaginable conjunction of ideas forming in his head. He waited. For her answer, but she did not say anything for a long time that it caused him to be uneasy.
"I… I don't know." She spoke softly, shaking out of fear.
Kraig shook his head, that didn't help him to be at ease at all. He tightened his embrace of her, "Don't worry..." They stayed like that for a while, he didn't let her go.
"Love," she called him, "the class was canceled." He was still hugging her, did he fall asleep?
Guide-sama: "Yanarym, why do you keep on provoking Lyndon? He was raging at ideas to kill you and Kraig."
"Don't mind, Guide-sama. Don't mind..."
Yanarym raised her head and peered at Kraig and he looked back at her. His expression was screaming of questions, she never expected Kraig was the type of worrywart and a pessimist.
With that single eye contact with Lyndon, he's already spacing out? What would he do if he found out the truth?
"Why is he so mad at me? D-did I offend him in any way? Was he mad because I was bullying Tiana?" She clutched her hand on the hem of his shirt. He creased his brows, waking up from zoning out then showed her a stiff smile.
"Why do you care? He's no one, Love, don't waste your time thinking about him." He was in trance, "...he's mad to Tiana, not you, okay?" Yanarym showed him a worried expression but didn't talk anymore.
Kraig caught her hiding her troubled expression, it made him a lot more nervous. Why is troubled if Lyndon hates her or not? It doesn't concern her.
Guide-sama: "Quit your dabbling, Yanarym. Even Kraig? Are you asking for death? Why are you so relaxed in this situation? Have you forgotten? They were the original's killer!"
"How could I forget? That was the most irritating scene that was re-playing in my memory."
Guide-sama: "Then? He could kill you! Kraig or Lyndon, don't provoke them any further."
"What? No, that's the procedure that I had already paved for them to walk through, remember? You asked me what you should anticipate?"
Guide-sama: "You told me it was a brawl, but I didn't expect that you were the one who would die!"
"Chill, you should be the one who should quit your niggling Guide-sama. There's no more threat in my life in this world. I have taken everything under control."
Guide-sama: "That isn't what I think. He'll kill you! They will kill you once they find out what you are up to!"
"Please, don't overreact, Lyndon's just jealous, and Kraig's suspicious, that's what we want to happen."
Guide-sama: "You are cheating on both of them, they are sorcerers. You are human!"
"Yes, I am human. And I can still clearly remember that you said I could become a magician!"
Guide-sama: "No, your wish was to transmigrate into a magical world, fly and manipulate people. Not to become a sorcerer."
"Scam!"
Guide-sama: "Don't evade the topic, do you know the consequences if you die in the middle of your task in this world?"
Yanarym was intrigued, she didn't know except for the fact that she would do everything over again. There's more than that?
"What is it?"
Guide-sama: "You would suffer from the next world."
"...suffer from what?"
Guide-sama: "I'm not certain but you can't loiter like this anymore."
"I'm not lazy, I'm working hard, you'll see a big game will be starting soon enough. You might as well prepare me a gift for this successful revenge."
Guide-sama: "I don't see any flattering light than your death door."
"Oh my gosh, Guide-sama," Yanarym rolled her eyes, "Don't you trust me? I've been playing this game for such a long time, have you ever seen me lose?"
Guide-sama: "Everything has their first time."
"That might be true, but for me, it isn't my time yet." She sneered.
Guide-sama: "Tell me what's your current objectives? Enlighten me a bit, so that I can rest assured."
"Okay, so, the first plan is to break Tiana's heart to pieces, we should take away everything from her. Make her suffer a bit, and let her go berserk."
Guide-sama: "Even, Tiana? Why are you evoking everyone to kill you?"
Final class dismissed, Kraig sent Yanarym home and waved goodbye to Yanarym because he had to do something important. She waved back to him and waited for him to disappear at her sight, she glanced at her house.
Presently, Matteo left the town to investigate the rumors spreading about the reincarnation of Azkin. Ever since it was out in the public, countless women around her age claimed to be the real Azkin. Although it may be troublesome, Matteo still had to assure that those who claimed as Azkin themselves were nothing but frauds. He heard the information about the appearance of Azkin somewhere outside the town, so he left early in the morning to see if those were the real or fake ones.
Matteo also told her that he may return a little later because of the current circumstances. Gladly, she sent him off, the timing was all right, with no Matteo on restriction she could go all-in with this game. Mother Lena was almost living her life at the Academy, she seldom came home. Especially on weekdays, so Yanarym couldn't worry less but to notify her mother.
Yanarym left a note at the dining table saying that she would not be home for the night.
Yanarym changed into her comfortable clothes, before stepping out. Heading to Lyndon's house, she foresees that he was waiting for her arrival.
The sun already set and the house had no light inside, seemingly it was left with no one. Yanarym took a heavy breath before knocking on the door. Of course, no one answered. She twisted the knob and it was locked, she took the key that was given to her by Lyndon himself.
Entering into the lair of the tiger, she was grinning. She left the door unlocked and walked to the shadows, "Lyndon…" She called his name and stepped her way to his room expertly. "Lyndon, are you home? Can we talk?"
Strong arm bucked her, trapping her between his arms and to the wall. She felt the sting of pain slither on her back from that sudden attack but chose not to make any foolish movements. He crouched towards her, abolishing the void of their bodies, his breath flashing on her skin as he flickered his deadly glare at her.
"It's good to see that you still know where I lived, I almost bang your head at the wall of the academy thinking that you forgot about me," his lips touched her cheeks, hissing on her ears.
His hand reached for her chin and harshly grabbed it to face him. "Why are you doing this Rym? Are you playing with me?" He uttered in an eerie manner with a grin. She didn't answer him, but he could feel her trembling body out of fear.
"You're scared? Huh? It's funny, how come you're scared if you are too brave to ignore me?" He mumbled as he gritted his teeth to not lose his temper. He loosened his grip on her chin and gently caressed her face.
"Two weeks, you've been out cold for two fucking weeks, why?" He peered at her eyes and it was misty and dazzling as it usuals, she's still beautiful in this pitch-black surrounding.
Staring at her, his anger was gradually fading, he wanted to just let it all pass, if she asked for his forgiveness, he would immediately forgive her. If she cried and told him that she didn't mean it, he would accept it and forget like it didn't happen. If only, she would do that…
"Tell me why, Yam, hmm?"
Yet, she was pressing her lips tightly, not even giving him an explanation or excuses. He never thought that her silence was a lot more frustrating than anything in this world. He trailed his index finger on her lip nose and leaned his forehead to hers, he put both of his hands at her cheeks and made their noses touch.
"Will you answer the question?" She stiffened, he could feel how she was holding her breath and the intensity of her body.
He opened his eyes and made a gap between their faces. He studied her expression before stroking her hair on his palm, she opened her eyes and he smiled at her, and she began to cry.
"Did I scare you?" She bobbed her head and wiped away her tears. Lyndon smiled and titled his head and kissed her lips, she was sobbing but that didn't stop him from devouring her mouth.
He had gone crazy, completely nut-job. Just by seeing her tears, and kissing her lips… he felt totally alright. If she could only say she was sorry, he would really forget all of those times he was dying to punish her for ignoring him.
