Chapter 720: Chapter 46 Wait a moment, there are still 6 more

Lord Solomon said, "I have received your suggestion, but considering the current situation, if we wish to conquer this Continent, we cannot do without the help of the locals.

"Killing is just a means to make those Land Species feel our strength, fear us, and submit to us, but it is not the goal.

"If we truly kill off all one million people in the Western Territories, it will only provoke unnecessary resistance from others, and even those who have already surrendered to us might waver."

Lannita finished the wine in her glass, "Strategically, you might be right... but unfortunately, this is not enough to convince Lord Sibulun and allow him to calmly accept the news of his son’s death."

"Of course, I won’t let the murderer get away either, not only to satisfy Lord Sibulun but also because Shajia was one of ours, no one can kill him without paying a price."

Lord Solomon spoke gravely, "In fact, I have already sent people to investigate this matter. Once the investigation results are in, I will start taking revenge on the assassin."

"How will you take revenge? If you don’t plan to deploy our people, as you said, we haven’t even taken Elk Valley and Golden Valley yet, the ’routes’ to the Western Territories are still blocked. How are we going to launch an attack there?" asked Lannita.

"Revenge doesn’t necessarily require us to act personally. We’ve already taken Lion Heart Castle, killed the Emperor of the imperial people, and hung his corpse on the city walls, and then we also defeated the Alliance Army of the imperial nobility at White River City.

"Any smart person can see that the Red Lion Empire is on its last legs, and it’s only a matter of time before we conquer this land. Continuing to follow the Vespasian Family at this time is not a wise decision."

"Ha, you plan to split the nobles there." Lannita poured herself another glass of wine.

"Why not? The ruling Figrola Family of the Western Territories, their last Family Head was killed by those Dwarves not too long ago, and the Pangluosi Family of Elk Valley is willing to hand over their current Family Head to us.

"And I have just received news that Gwen, the acting City Lord of Rock Snow City, was defeated and captured under Duolin City and then died. The Figrola Family is finished, the Western Territories need a new master."

"So who will this lucky person be?" Lannita laughed lightly.

"Someone who will pledge allegiance to us and avenge Shajia," Lord Solomon answered. "His family can replace the Figrola Family to become the new master of the Western Territories."

"That sounds very persuasive." Lannita had finished her second glass of wine, a hint of blush decorating her delicate face, making her appear somewhat shy.

"Alright, the Wizard Association agrees with your plan for revenge, and I will speak on your behalf to my father as well."

Having said that, the young lady walked straight up to Solomon, stood on her tiptoes, and whispered in his ear.

"I’ve said you might grow to hate me, but I am not your enemy. On the contrary, the Wizard Association has sent me here to offer assistance; we share a common goal."

"Is that so?" Solomon kept his composure.

"And so far, you have indeed done an excellent job; I’m even considering giving you a little reward."

Lannita giggled, not sure if she was genuinely drunk or not, getting closer to Solomon, her warm breath just like that on Solomon’s ear.

"On my way here, I heard you turned down the most beautiful woman on the Continent. What, is it because she’s too old for you, you prefer younger women?"

"My body and heart have already been devoted to the Mother Goddess Gaia and my people," Solomon said flatly. "I don’t have the time to consider other matters."

"That’s truly a shame," the girl sighed. "Find me a few men, will you? I have hardly rested on my journey to see you sooner, and now that we’re done with official business, it’s time for me to unwind."

"I’ll have someone arrange that for you," Solomon nodded. "Now, may I go back to finishing up the matters at hand?"

"Of course, and bring me another barrel, no, fifty barrels of that wine I was just drinking. Those Land Species aren’t great at fighting, but they sure know how to enjoy themselves. You’re right, we should keep them around to continue making these fine things for us."

Lannita declined the luxurious mansion Solomon offered her and chose to stay at a small tavern instead. There, she spent ten wild days and nights with her seven new lovers, finishing all fifty barrels of wine.

On the tenth day, the investigation into Shajia’s death finally bore results.

When Ivan was commanded to deliver the news, Lannita was riding atop a middle-aged male noble. She was naked, with her small pair of black wings fully extended, reaching the ceiling above her head.

Whip in hand, she lashed at the man beneath her while excitedly shouting in broken Universal Language, "Harder, harder, my little sun!"

Since the door wasn’t closed, Ivan saw the entire scene.

Even as a former intelligence chief accustomed to seeing much of the world, he was startled and quickly retreated outside.

But then he heard Lannita’s voice from behind, "Don’t go, I’ll be finished soon."

Ivan could only halt his steps, standing awkwardly outside the door.

Finally, accompanied by the male noble’s roar, the battle came to an end.

Lannita seemed to be in a good mood as she patted her lover’s cheek. "Thank you for these days. Here’s your payment."

After saying that, she seized a dagger from the table and deftly slit the noble’s throat, leaving him with a face full of astonishment and confusion.

Until his last breath, he couldn’t comprehend why anyone would be so cruel. One moment she was entwined with him, whispering sweet nothings, then without warning, she turned heartlessly against him.

Lannita stood up, took a moment to admire her handiwork, and then said to Ivan, "Wait a moment, there are six more."

After she spoke, she hurried out with the dagger in hand, and the former chief of intelligence heard several more screams.

The screams alarmed others in the tavern; an older man with half-white hair came out of his room, exclaiming, "What’s happened? Is there an assassin?"

"Nothing, my dear," Lannita appeared behind him out of nowhere, cooing words of comfort. She then ruthlessly stabbed the bloodied dagger into his back.

"Number seven." The girl withdrew the dagger, reminiscing about the sweet moments they had shared that day, and let out a satisfied sigh. As she got dressed, she turned to Ivan and asked.

"Who are you? And why do you speak our language?"

"I am Lord Solomon’s advisor and Imperial Minister, Ivan," the former intelligence chief bowed. "To better serve Lord Solomon, I have been learning the noble language."
